  1. Army of domestic prosecutors :)All right: "and as wiggins said, but 15 t-34s in a 300pts" is simple. But, if You are so sure that cheating is simple in CM, could You: 1. Change number of squad members? 2. Change weapons of squads? 3. Moving troops from place to place? 4. 'Resurecting' them? 5. Seeing enemies? Please, don't tell me "no, I can't but I'm sure it is possible" "He left evidence, because he was sure no one would check anything, and over-boosted ego" - oh, common! Why left evidence when You know how to hide it? Illogical, FvI.
  2. OK. Last two words, and EOT too If it's some kind of resident stuff than such a strange behaviours will be in MOST if not EVERY GAME played by that dude. We had almost THE SAME problem with CFS2 on-line and very simillar with Destroyer Command. In BOTH sytuations the reason was...resident stuff NOT trainer or cheating program. BTW: If he had a trainer WHY... left evidence? It's without sense ). Once again - don't offence anybody untill You'll be sure there is a way to cheat like that (vide - You will find a program or trainer allowing that). And about BF Team. Looks like busy ppl up there I'm waiting a week for answer
  3. Topic closed. CMAK is on the way to my cave :] Beware Rommel, Powell incoming
  4. Right. It is possible to "hack" data when buying units. It's really simple. But _changing squad teams_, _moving them_, "upgrading" weapons, turning on god mode, pop up morale etc. need to know when data is stored. Find it in TCP mode? No way ) Every new TCP game storing this data in other adresses. In PBEM it is a job for real grog too! What to do? - don't let this dude scan his HDD (as i advised some time ago)! Or ask him to make BIN copy before. I'll bet he has got some resident **** affecting memory he don't even KNOW! Simple (but no 100% sure) method is to look at "strange" units turn by turn. If there is some resident, randomize memory changing **** (virus, troian, etc.), that unit will be changing turn by turn. This is possible to change even _beyond_ CM possibilities (f.e. squad with 200 men, or 150 x Breda). BUT after _generating the movie_ everything should back to normal. Couse the game have (should have to ;o) got some "check if everything is all right" code looking for accidental data transfer errors. So, as bishop Jellieur said: "Don't hang a witch. Maybe it's a devil inside and she is just a tool!". Need to "find a devil" - how it is possible to make so many changes in the TCP/PBEM game? Once again - IMO devil is "SRSUN"*. * ****ty Resident Stuff User didn't Notice" - troian, virus
  5. It's possible (and IMO not even very hard, but need lot of time) to cheat in PBEM mode. But in TCP? Hmm, more than interesting. Will write on priv, Wiggins.
  6. Short question to CMAK users. Is this worth it's price?. I've been playing CM till BO era. I love CMBB and after year brake off want to join back CM community. That's why wondering spending money on CMAK?
  7. Bulgarian helmet = german helmet ?? Asking, couse I remember M36B model (that one was used by WWII bulg. forces?)very similar to germans "head-protectors".
  8. "Hit the road again..." Wiggins - can get listed units without problems for 2000, but of course with reduced experience level (tested). So I'll be defending my "resident **** theory". And did You investigated your opponent? Still looking forward beloved BF team's answer . Please, put some light on this problem (and... answer my mail dudes - I really want old nick back ).
  9. Free Your mind, use team work Send sniper, HS, section HQ to check LOS from area You're interested in. He will recognize the positions for "main force" (King Tiger, SturmTiger, or better both of them)
  10. Belive me. It is possible! I can write a resident "program" (some kind of troian) that will affect Your TCP connection (randomizing one of 10 000 send bytes) and f.e. destroy some *.dbf files. You will not see any difference in IE, mail programs, etc., but in CM (and other "every point is impotant" TCP games) You will see such a strange things as You wrote before (f.e. changing troops experience _after_ buying them, disapearing units, etc.). Every good TCP game sending/receive it's TCP data coded. So i can't plan what that "****ty resident" will change, but it will affect the transfer = "bugging" the game. Just in theory - is this possible, than he bough that troops with lower level experience (even green or conscript) for 2000 points? If yes, i will bet for 100 USD the reason of your problem is some kind of resident stuff (that changed experience or sth.) BTW - try to "spy", if he remember what level of experience troops bough. And I'm really interested in how that topic will end!
  11. First of all - sorry for misunderstanding! I'm not laughing. I'm just a pragmatist (and better or worse programmer - don't believe in braking game's code "just like that". Sorry if You take it personal, didn't mean it! Back to that "extra troops". The point is, not "how HE did it" but "how did IT happen". In my opinion guilty will be some kind of trush stuff like troians, viruses or stupid memory optimizers. That **** resident in memory and sometimes can generate errors in TCP transfer. CM binary informations in TCP mode are sending and received _really well coded_. Theoreticaly there is a way to cheat using PBEM game (got the file, lot of time, and should have "know-how"). But in TCP it is impossible or he is a genious (if so - why to cheat for win?). Summary: in Your or his memory (or both of You) could be a resident program affecting TCP transfer (f.e. changing one byte for every thousand. This is much than enough to generate such strange errors as You reported). The worst are that ones which can dmg/destroy local files (so - viruses, not troians) couse that kind of stuff trying to control as much ports as possible (TCP's too). BTW - don't You think that such kind of cheating (to buy much more troops than was allowed by points) is ... stupid? You can check it in few minutes and asta la vista baby - Your opponent will be banned, shamed and banished from community.
  12. I don't think so! I've never heard about it (till i play Cm series - about 4 years). But _I'm sure_ there were similar topic year ago or later. Sbdy reported strange behaviour of CMBB. Units disapearing in movies or beeing zombie (once seen eliminated next turn he looks like still alive for the opponent). And there were some problem with points (I'm not sure, but he reported "unlimited" points for armour of his opponent or sth. He had many more tanks, than it was allowed at CA game). With every few new tours there were more and more strange beh's(TCP game). They posted the screenshot with sth like "immortal" T-34 that get 10 x 88 mm penetration (or sth... I don't remember  ) Sbdy suggested the same - "Achtung! Game code broken! Red alert, red alert!" . But the reason was some kind of memory optimizer for Windows and virus resident in memory. Please, both of You scan your computers for resident trojans, viruses couse it can sometimes affect TCP ports and/or connection and make that unnecessary "red alert" And don't use memory optimizers (but buy more, more, more memory as Gates wish to ). P.S. BUT If Your opponent broke the CM code in deed (so many was trying before with so few resoults ) , PLEASE give me his mail. I would love to work with such a talented dude
  13. There are a lot of T72's version diffrent not only by model, but also the country it is serving or even the "rules" of service park.
  14. Oh, cmn! That is absolutly uncomparable A little more luck near Stalingrad and Moskow et voila, "1000 years reich" would be a real /
  15. Liam is right IMO. So radical tactic isn't a key to victory. Only power balance (but... this is only my opinion ).
