  1. March 17, 1940 -Paris falls 5 months ahead of schedule. Nanning is being tenderized. Alex is putting the French navy to good use. France should fall next turn.
  2. Feb. 18 1940- Paris still holds-Army defending it reduced to 2. Navy becomes very active in the med and he is weakening the Italian navy in ports. Nanning is being pinged.
  3. January 1940- Paris should fall by next turn-Italy enters war. Pounded my armor to strength 1. He tries to bait the italian navy with throw away French naval forces. Nanning is pinged by carriers, fighter and land units.
  4. Total war April 1941 Germany elects to go for total war and place it's whole country, economy, society on a war footing - Speer is tapped as armaments minister and given total authority over war production yes- one time increase of 500 MPP- plus 25% increase in MPP production, cost 500 mpp (25mpp for 20 turns) no-no changes Hitler respects military institutions May 1941 Hitler gives his generals tactical and strategic oversight over German Wermacht, yes- permanent morale increase 15% over all forces. Cost 1000mpps - 50mpps for 20 turns, no- German forces suffer temporary morale decrease 15%. Probably unbalancing but good what if historical situations
  5. I consider it as a very clear advantage to do so for the axis if you asses the situation.
  6. If the axis can get going early into France - it gives him an early headstart for other operations.
  7. last axis rd - December 1939 outskirts of Paris-
  8. You have to focus your forces on Warsaw- and then enough to knock down another army or so- practice it.
  9. Germany on the outskitrts of Paris- 1 French army killed and another kncoked down to 6- reposition forces in China- slow going without air support.
  10. Anyone up to play as Allies? PBEM Vanilla 1939 scenario- just email me aesop123@hotmail.com, I am fast in sending rds back.
  11. Lost an army for his two armies and knocked one down to 3. Nearing Paris. Got rid of a Chinese army in the east.
  12. Rd 3 - War declared against Benelux and it falls. Foochow falls. Alex does the same shuffle.
  13. Rd 2 -Axis move West and Foochow double pinged.
  14. I took the axis (upps said allies earlier) in the vanilla 1939 campaign. Poland was knocked out in rd 1 and Foochow was pinged in China. Chinese forces do the samba shuffle and France braces for assault.
  15. We should start a thread in recommending allied-axis strategies - what has worked in human vs human only as the AI is still easy to beat-predictable.
  16. I think in order for Japan to make a go at it is actually just hold in China ven have some meagre progress and focus on invasion of Australia-Burma and Hawaii as that is where the major deployments occur also for the allies. This gives more bang for the buck for Japan and inhibit the US from taking an active naval deployment in the Pacific. If we can do a cost benefit-ratio analysis (MPP, preventing units deployment, time), this stratagem would bear out and the Allies would be hard pressed to stop this. China can wait, Japan must secure it's outer-rim and have it's superior navy in play early on and dominate (not get bogged down in China for meager rewards). This is a more agressive strategy that fits into Japan's strength's. higher LR's, NW's, and better AL's are key. We need to ask the maestro Terif for his recommended plan - I do think neutralising mainland England with sealion is number one even if you get delayed or assume a defensive posture at first in the east. You cannot just sit tight in France and ignore England while you prance around in Russia. That was the major axis mistake in WW2 by not focusing on establishing air superiority over the English skies and invade. Axis navy and combined air power has to come to bear to get this done. This eliminates a major base of operations for the allies. England was nearing breaking point for it's airforces during that time when Hitler stupidly shifted to bombing population areas ( we know how that turned out ). The drawback is that the USSR and America increase their readiness due to the fall of mainland England. Would you prefer England to frolic freely in your own backyard? And then open up antoher fight with the USSR at the same time? I would even get what Italian resources there are to serve as transport fodders/screen just to make this work. This would be my strategical viewpoint on how to conduct the war for the axis powers. Any other ideas?
  17. Endgame for Germany -just a matter of time for Japan.
  18. That is the kicker- you only have to take London- it is probably a script thing issue that Hubert is going to address in the new patch. To make it easy, if you don't want to go through the experiment of going out all costs for London- you can modify the scenario to give yourself uber Axis units and just take London early to replicate this. But it works if you take London by July 1940.
  19. If good weather permits for an early attack into Benelux and France, and you amphib The UK and take out London by July 1940, the whole UK surrenders! It takes a lot to weaken the UK navy and you would have to bring in over the Italian airfleet to the English coast. Big gamble though and you have to invest in purchasing tac bombers so that you would be ready to drop in. A lot of of your units will die also and you might be weak for Barbarossa. It's fun to try though.
  20. Would that kill the game? Or accentuate planning to get more oil resources/conversion as historically happened in WW2?
  21. Then you warp the premise of a supposedly historical game? or semblance thereof?
  22. This should be reflected as such in the game such as the freezing or movement point deduction for forces. The oil factor should be reflected on the map instead of pseudo-abstract representation.
