Yes, I need results turned in before the end of the month, that means everyone, if you are very close to the end of a game and let me know, I might let you go a few more days. But since round two match ups are determined from results in round one, I will need everyone in before I can start sending out the new matches. I would like to get round two out by the first week of Oct. and set the Completion date for Nov 15, that will have given you about 5 weeks for each round. Apon completion I will need the last turn results, just send the last game file that ends the match. If the match by chance does not get completed, send the last completed turn and if you want to request a extension, still send the turn and request. If someone starts draging their feet because you are killing them and they try to not complete the game, let me know and send the file history showing the intentional slow down and I will determine if a penalty needs to added.I hope no one tries this type of play to better their score, I want completed games, but I will not make everyone wait for those that cannot fulfill the schedule, 5 weeks is plenty of time for anyone that understands the word commitment.

I felt the same way about that one when I was play testing it from Kingfish, remember, it might not be winning that matters, but how well you lose.

I am glad I have had only one out of 14 that has not come through. I dropped two others during sign ups. Gavlong will be getting placed on my very short list of players to not play or be allowed to play list. A real honor, if you like being with that group of jerks. I can understand if he has had a real life issue that has become more important, but he could at least inform you that is the situation so that we are not left in the dark.

Warhammer "No idea how his other games are going, but I'm basicly at my wits end! We need to do something" Gort has emailed me just today again, same thing. Just going to have to accept the fact that you only get two games this first round and bye points for the third game. You will also for sure get all three matches next round, if I have 13 left, someone will get bye's or have the option maybe to play me if they do not like the bye. but for sure you will have three good matches from solid players from round one. Ozi has a match with Gavlong and I do not remember him having any problem being mentioned.

At this point, he is my only problem child, so we will have to ride it out for round one at this point, if he cannot get very active, the game files will need to be sent from as far as you have made it at the end of the month. If this is the case for all of his matches, I will not allow him into round two. You can offer to tcp the game, but you do not have to if you do not like that type of play. Also if he fails to complete his matches, I will gareentee that you will not score less than at least what a bye would be worth, since it sounds like you are almost playing a bye. I am putting my finishing touches on my last Scenario for round two, I believe the map is a little bigger than "The last road" that Kingfish did for round one,a few more units than my first two scenarios, over 4000 points for the attacker and plenty of room for some manuevering. My favorite was "What were we thinking" so far, but this one might be my favorite now, a few play test before I make any final judgements. I will be interested in finding out which ones you all like best.

Are the scenario's challenging enough for you or should I say how do you like who you are fighting. Comments would be great as long as you keep them from providing information, which I already gave you much more info than needed anyway because of the screw up.

Well, I just viewed one of the luckiest things I have ever seen. Received a clip from one match and watched a jeep dodge countless rounds to somehow survive. That will be one you will need to share with the Forum once we finish up the the first round matches.

Gavlong, you should have started the game with Gort, Warhammer and Ozi should have sent you the starting files. I know you have been busy, but it is time to start sending consistant turns to your players, they have been worried and I have told them I would give you a warning.

JasonC, he is over intelligent and needs this forum as a place to show it. His points are correct in many aspects, but as is so often the case, so is many of the points of those that contend against him. I have only a few things I want to say. First, if JasonC was to ever have his true war sim game I would never buy it. It might be true to life as far as he thinks combat is really played out, but I am sure it would be a very boring game and a huge waste of time with no enjoyment to be had because of all that important realism. Second, the small battles and high casualties that many of us play in the cm environment, that are so unrealistic to some of you, is what others of us want. To be at the tip of the battle, where hell is on the loose and death is almost certain. Does this potray most soldiers experiences, no. For most that have been placed in that type of situation never lived to tell about it. But for gaming, it is the place to be, where some of you think it does not exist. Where units get caught in a death struggle. In CM, that is almost every battle. No, that was not the normal in real combat but at times it does exist. For me, I want to play something in that environment, to see if hero units are born, to see how the tide of battle might be swung by the actions of a single unit or how a mistake might lead to extreme high casualities. For some, I wish I could Teleport them into the real thing. I would love to hear JasonC comments after he had a chance to live through a real intense firefight, instead of living through one's he has developed in that immense brain of his. I am sure JasonC will slam me since I have addressed him here, so go ahead, I will not respond or waste my time trying to match your superior knowledge. I just do not understand the reason for you immense efforts to persuade us all to your thinking process, I only know it sure isnt going to help in making for a better, more enjoyable game in the future if you are taken too seriously. I can see it now,"Did you see me win that game, two hours of arty right on top of him, boy, that was fun, next time he will pay to get them troops dug in better" Why would I want to play CM when I could experience a game like that.

How are all you troopers doing, things are quiet out there. No one has sent any problems for awhile so I hope everyone is competing and having fun even though you might be on the wrong end of things. No one has sent me a turn yet, if things are going well for you, send me a turn file, I would love to have a peek and see if any of you are creating any good upsets in the scenarios. I need to get some pleasure out of this tournament somehow since I cannot play

All games underway now. Just a query, when I'm taking screenshots what is the best method to cut back on the disk usage of the files. ATM i copy them into paint, draw some squiggles on them and then save them as a JPEG but they are still hefty files. One way I know of is to scale the shot down once you have it in paint or any editing program, try some different sizes, because if you scale to much you will loose quility in the shot. But droping it to 60% of its present size will cut the file size by 3 to 4 times it present size.

Working on one of the next round scenario's right now, Just to give you a clue. Night and Fog, scare any of you yet. Also will mention that one of the three you are playing, the attacker is very hard pressed to adchieve a win, so keep in mind, winning might be the goal but how well did you do compared to the others playing the same side.

Walker, I'm glad you like them so far, You will find that each will give you a different type of situation also, So each has a chance to use different type of tactics and skills. OK Guys, I have already made a bad mistake, I had some emails with the wrong briefings. At this point it would give some a advantage if I just sent them the corrected briefing, so to make things as fair as possible I have sent you all the briefings for both sides for all three matches. I would enjoy it, if some of you will remember me and send a few turns of your matches at important events, to let me see how the battles are shaping up. Also you might want to save a few special turns because I will likely request them from the winner to make a screen shot to add in the award document.
