Hey cesspoolers!
It's been a while, but not long enough...
Have a good December and try not to sleep with too many relatives, ok?
Cheers

Well, I'm still shelved on CM... I think I have 1.03.
CM WWII? I want to have the fun of CMBB/CMAK with the 3D graphics 'upgrade' of CM.
As it sits CM is not a fun RTS game and is not a fun Wego game. It isn't learning curve, it isn't different, it's just wrong, a swing and a miss, so to speak.
I prey CM2WWII will be fun...

RT is better in CM:SF than any previous game that I've played. (ToW doesn't work on my machine)

Bugs... gawd how I hates bugs... finding bugs... fixing bugs... convincing someone something is a bug... I used to come here for a break from my job but it's as bad (or worse) than work here... bloody bugs...
<font size = 20 color = red>BUGS!!!</font>
I found another bug. I can't bring up the screen that lets me select the WWII based equipment and setting...

It can only be attributable to human error.

No, it doesn't suck balls. No, IMO it isn't as good as CM:AK. yes you should download the demo and stop asking sturpid questions. :mad:Originally posted by Soddball:So does this game suck balls or what? I'm still trying to decide whether to download the demo.

A fantastic album to doze off to. I do love Roger Waters' Lyrics but the sleep/dream references thoughout put me into a bit of a trance... which can be a good thing when you are an insomniac like me..!Originally posted by von shrad:Also, The Pro's and Con's of Hitch hiking was excellent.
Radio KAOS is another Waters lyrical gem, though musically it leaves me wanting a shower....
Four Minutes is a classic example:
[billy:] "Four minutes and counting."
[Jim:] "O.K."
[billy:] "They pressed the button, Jim."
[Jim:] "They pressed the button Billy, what button?"
[billy:] "The big red one."
[Jim:] "You mean THE button?"
[billy:] "Goodbye, Jim."
[Jim:] "Goodbye!
Oh yes
This ain't au revoir, it's goodbye!
Ha! Ha!
This is KAOS
It's a beautiful, balmy
Southern California summer day
It's 80 degrees...
I said balmy...
I could say bomby
Ha! Ha!
O.K.
I'm Jim and this is Radio KAOS
And with only four minutes left to us
Let's use this as wisely as possible....
([Molly:] Everybody got someone they call home)
Out at Dodger Stadium
It's the bottom of the seventh
The Dodgers are leading three to nothing over the Giants
And for those of you who are looking to go surfing tomorrow
Too bad
(Telephone rings)
I'm kinda lost in here to tell you the truth
O.K., good
Ladies and gentlemen
If the reports that we are getting are correct
This could be it
Billy, if you're listening to me
Please call now."
After a near miss on the plane
You swear you'll never fly again
After the first kiss when you make up
You swear you'll never break up again
And when you've just run a red light
Sit shaking under the street light
You swear to yourself you'll never drink and drive again
Sometimes I feel like going home
You swear you'll never let things go by again
Sometimes I miss the rain and snow
And you'll never toe the party line again
And when the east wind blows
Sometimes I feel like going home
[Jim:] "Billy, if you are listening, please call."
[Californian Weirdo:] "Sole has no eyes."
[Molly:] "Goodbye little spy in the sky
They say that cameras don't lie
Am I happy
Am I sad
Am I good
Am I bad?"
[Jim:] "Billy, if you're listening, please call."
[Californian Weirdo:] "Sole has no eyes
Sole has no eyes."
[billy:] "Ten, nine, eight, seven..."
[Margaret Thatcher:] "Our own independent nuclear deterrent
Has helped to keep the peace."
[billy:] "Six, five four, three..."
[Ordinary Person:] "...you've go a job..."
[billy:] "Two, one..."
[Margaret Thatcher:] "For nearly forty years"
[Jim:] "Goodbye Billy."

The scarecrow thing cracks me up. I thought maybe the guys were being punished "hold your arms out!"Originally posted by sgtgoody (esq):While playing the Training campaign I noticed one of the OPFOR soldiers moving supposedly with his weapon in his hand. His arms and hands were in position to hold the weapon but the weapon was on the ground in his original position.
I have also seen a couple instances of the Scarecrow glitch.

So... if the game works on Windows XP with my ATI x200 integrated POS, and the DEMO runs on Windows 2000 with my ATI x700 (haven't tried the game yet), but crashes on Vista / ATI combination, would this logically point to a problem with the game, with ATI hardware, with ATI Vista drivers, or with Windows Vista?
And for those that don't understand OpenGL - it is a programming interface, so that you can use the same code to speak to any number of video cards. In the old days (very old days) programmers had to write drivers for each video card - but with the introduction of standards for video interfaces (Directx and OpenGL) programmers, in theory, could write one piece of code that would work with all compatible video cards.
If the game code works for ATI on XP & 2000, and works for nVidia on XP, 2000 & Vista, is the problem with the game code? I imagine it *may* be possible to debug the problem with ATI/vista to the extent of "we make this call to OpenGL and it crashes" but I don't know if a work around could be implemented by BFC to get around the problem in the OpenGL layer.

AMD 3000+
Radion x200 integrated card
1GB ram
XP
CMSF plays ok at lowest settings but for some reason the scrolling on the glidepoint doesn't work. Not a big deal, I use the kbrd instead.
Actually, the more I think about this, the more it makes sense - it doesn't exactly replicate the functionality of the wheel on a mouse.
I still see brutal shift and ctrl locks, though I haven't applied 1.01a yet (still paradox 1.00)
I still need to install on my main PC - the DEMO worked fine on it under Win 2k.
Cheers!
Edit - larger scenarios slow down (S_L_O_W_D_O_W_N!) in RT mode on the nb.

As has been said before RTS is definitely the way BFC wants to go. I'm presuming it's to broaden the commercial appeal of the product.
So try not to present speculation as fact. It's misleading and untruthful. </font>
