The goal here is not merely to improve graphics, but to allow us to design a more flexible simulation, which will allow us to add some of the features people have requested...

That is indeed great news we are looking forward to it. Happy new year 2005
  2. Berlin: the downfall 1945 by Antony Beevor is a book that I would suggest for anyone interested not only in the battle aspects but also to the attrocities of Red army and how unhuman they treated the German population, raping and killing anything standing on their way and I am sorry to hear that somebody can call this a "payback" to the previous German attrocities.

We all need to pray for the victims of this war from any side they come from.

  3. To be a GM (Game Master) in CMMC2 is really a great experience for everybody that want to be deeply involved in Eastern front operations.

The idea is great, the current game is about Operation Mars (November-December 1942):

Marshal Zhukov's Greatest DefeatOperation Mars 1942

Thus, I finally sign up an application for a GM position.

I would also like to invite anybody who is interested in join the GM ranks of CMMC2

  4. I would like to add few tricks as well:

Use special units abilities like fire throwers if you can get them close without being seen in woods or in a city, move and sneak at the last moment, they fire with a devastating effects - usually routing the enemy.

Do not send them alone but keep them with other units attacking.

  5. Thanks Fokker G1

The idea seems of such a massive play looks very attractive and I think the more people know about it much more they will enlist.

Could you give me more info:

    - the purpose of the game

    - what experiences gains somebody if enrolls

    - what is needed to enlist

    - how much time per month will be needed for each one enlisted

Also, if there is a FAQ I would be very pleased to read through.

    Greetings

  6. To add a few comments in my earlier posting.

The Germans failed in Russia because they did not achieve any of the three strategic objectives they had: Moscow, Stalingrad, Lenigrand. What is astonishing is that in all 3 objectives they came to close but failed for various reasons.

It is only in Moscow that they failed because of luck in time that's why the delay in the Balkans campaign is so important.

If they have succeed in 1941 - so early, the course of the war in the East would be different.

To sum up: yes the Italian factor proved to be decisive in losing the war in my opinion.
