The term for that is "Group Mind." An amusing 'game' is to watch for who's forming a group mind with whom, and noting the dynamics of it. It happens everywhere all the time to everybody, give or take. Many people base their entire self worth on their status with their various peers they've formed group minds with.

@Rambo --- Dude, I was talking about the General Forum, not the SC forum (the SC forum has some insightful posts and the AAR's are great!). Not even you would consider the witch hunts that have been going on of late to fall into any of the categories of "competitive talk, strategy, & some healthly smack," I believe. Well, having spent a little too much time reading that thread just to get a sense for what's going on, I gotta say "tempest in a teapot." Seems to me to be closer to a schoolyard pissing match than anything worth noting. Par for the course on the mass market internet, I'm afraid. Now if this were an nntp server newsgroup rather than a web forum, at least you could reasonably expect everyone who'd bother to post there to have at least a high school education! :cool:

Back to bidding, I'm wondering why no bid system I've seen includes giving some MPP's to France at the start of the game? Has this been tried? It would surely make the early game a lot tougher for the Axis player! Maybe .5:1:5:20 (Fr:UK:USA:USSR) would even the game up a bit more?

I only count 447 wins. Wouldn't that mean there have been only 447 matches played? Sounds like your numbers are double-counted; 1 for the win, 1 for the loss, but both are the same match. Correct?

If you're talking about the Mediterranean, you need to support your ships with air power, both for spotting and the knock-out punch that your planes will give. Spotting is very important, as it keeps you from having to waste a ship by being on the wrong side of a surprise encounter.
