  1. Ok, so I finally figured out the prefs issue, but now as I cycle through the resolutions, they everyone have the white blocks for text. Any clue what this is about? I'm using a nvidia 4650 HD.
  2. I have an issue. I have reinstalled CMBB after a very long hiatus and have evidently chosen the wrong resolution. I can play the game just fine, but all my text and numbers are white blocks instead of letters. I have searched the forum, and know I'm supposed to delete the prefs file from the Combat Mission 2 folder. However, I can't find that file. Unless it's hidden in the folder or somewhere else, I can't find it. I'm running Vista and have bought and applied the Vista upgrade. Also, I can't seem to get the patches to stick. I have downloaded .01, .02, and .03, but after I apply them, and re-do the Vista thing, it still shows as being version 1.0. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated!
  3. Hello, I'm not really sure where this question was supposed to go, so I'm putting it here. My question is about the book "Grandfather's Tale," by Timothy Erenberger. In the book, this grandfather is relating to his war experience to his grandson. In this book, he says that he watches entire division in combat, while he estimates that he had over 1000 kills by they were stopped outside Moscow. He says he was a sniper in a squad of snipers in the 4th Parachute Divison (Fallschirmjager). My questions are this: 1. Is it at possible for a soldier on the eastern front in 1941 to see an entire division fighting? 2. Would the entire 4th Fallschirmjager have moved in a formation of 10 ranks of 20 down a road/trail (can't remember exactly). 3. Did the Germans ever use a system of putting snipers in there own squads? 4. Were snipers as prevalent as they are represented in this book? He describes shooting snipers, and lots of them, in every major battle up to Moscow. 5. He has been fighting since 01 Sept. '39, and by Moscow he says he has shot/killed over 1000 men. Is this at all possible? Are there any documented confirmed kill tallies in this number? You'll have to excuse some of these questions as they seem rather elementary to me. I am, however, near my book collection to look this up as I have been deployed for OIF 1 and 2 since May 03. I still do not know when I am coming home, and reading is about the only thing that takes my mind off of home. Any help with these questions would be greatly appreciated.
