Though I have played SC1 a lot. SC2 is giving me some fits. I feel like a deer in the headlights after France falls. What do I do? With the impeding war with Russia only a year away, I don't feel like I have the time to do much before I have to have my army lined up on the border. So can a more experienced player give me a run down on my options, with the Axis after France falls and before the War with Russia. Thanks in advance.

Terif, When you say "Units in Romania are irrelevant, so there you can place as many units as you want." Does this mean just Romanian units or all units in Romania?

Does anyone put any points into Anti-Air tech as the Russians? I would think that would help against the usual massive german air power.

After playing awhile, (I am still a novice) I have come to to the conculsion that tanks are not worth it. They don't seem to do any more damage than a army and they seem to be pretty weak against any unit in a city or that is entrenched. Other than they move a bit faster I don't see the upside to buying tanks. It would seem to be a good idea just to by armies and put money into army tech. Any idea's on the subject.

Well, the Italians had a very hard time of it when they invaded Greece during WW2. For a while it looked like they were going to be pushed out of Greece. Hitler was so frustrated at Mussolini's failure in Greece that he had to send German troops in to save his bacon. So thats what the Greeks did. Not to mention the Greek resistance after the Germans took over. They were not a buch of "dudes" making gyros.

I am still learning the strategies of the game. But my attempts at Overlord operations, IE Invading with the Americans and Brits have pretty much been disasters lately. They land and they get chewed up. I cannot seem to sustain a invasion. I have tried invasions of Norway, Spain, and France but with no success. So, what are the principals behind a good Overlord invasion. When, Where, and How! I would appricate any knowledge that you can share. Thanks! "Novice but learning!"

What are your building strategies with the British. With their small imcome it seems that any mistake in production could be trouble. So what do you build and when as the Brits?

Here is a question. How do you divide up the spoils from taking countries between the two axis powers? Do you give germany the lion's share and level italy with the scraps? What countries do you let Germany take and what countries do you let Italy take. Just curious. Aztecace

If you look at Terif's math he did take into account the added MPP's generated by conquests of Poland, LC, and Denmark. The (8x120) for Germany is just for Germany itself.

I don't believe this was a league game. He never told me his league name if he had one or that he was in any league. I have sent him a email explaining my position. I don't want this thread become a "lets bash this guy" thing. Hopefully he will learn from this experience. Sombra...I don't know how he could cheated in our other game when I started it. I just thought it was odd that he had all that tech and air forces at that part of the game. I could not proved that he did anything wrong at that time though. I want to thank Terif, Curry, and everyone else who helped me figure this out. Thanks! I have learned a thing or two and I will pay more attention to Mpp values and such from now on. Just to check, I ran a ship up to the baltic and found his two german cruisers. So he didn't sell them off.

Well thats what I thought about the math not being right. I double checked his last turn that he sent me twice. And yes I know he had 6 airfleets because they all attacked me on that turn. I asked him how he did it and he said he had disbanded his "useless units" (what ever that is)and that he never operated his units....hummm. Now that I think about it he had beaten me badly our last game with a super strong British airfleet....I am talking lots of high tech bombers and airfleets before the russian invasion. I had asked him how he did it that time too and he gave me the same answer.....disbanding "useless units"

Well if you say he can do it. He can do it. I just need to learn how he did it then!

I am sorry I meant to say Poland, Denmark, and the Low Countries.
