  1. I believe B Company 2nd Btn Marines used the Africa palm in 1991. Brits not sure. But is anyone willing to create these for ShockForce 2? Thanks.
  2. Very happy you enjoyed the scenario.. Barkmann had been thru a lot within a week... I am sure he would not mind if his tank was out of action for a few days rest. Cheers!
  3. It means nothing at all as long as Barkmann survives, If you look in the editor I have zero parameters for the scenario... However Barkmann's tank #424 is worth 500 points (Allied unit objective) and the Allies have a terrain objective, the crossroads of 200 (Terrain objective) points. My guess is the Allies got some decent points for immobilizing Barkmann's Panther. But in your scenario, Barkmann smashed the Allies.. and beat feet back to Axis lines alive... and that is good. LOL.
  4. Glad you enjoyed the scenario. I worked for about 3 months on it, trying to get the area as detailed as I could from aerial photographs from Operation Cobra and the differences of today. Stay safe out there. Cheers! :)
  5. Hello, couple options. One I could send it to you via email, or cloud or something. There I can send you the .BTT file and the other jpeg's. So you will have everything. Not sure, but I know they are transferring scenarios.. although its been over a year and still not complete. In fact Im not sure if my scenario even exists with them (Battlefront Scenarios) anymore. let me know. J.
  6. I keep checking to see if this module is out.... I look back and keep thinking it was to be an early October release.... then realize Christmas is coming and maybe they meant a Christmas Delivery time.. or even better, something to be thankful about next week maybe... LOL Anyways holidays are upon us, so wishing everyone a great Turkey Day, and that everyone enjoys time with family. Thanks for the hard work the devs and such spend on this game. Much appreciated. J.
  7. If anyone would like to give me feedback on this scenario, that would be much appreciated. When Rome to Victory comes out, I will be making a couple more scenarios in which one will include elements of Leros in the Aegean. Actually I hope someone makes a campaign for the battle of Leros. But will be making a few for the Italian Campaign and just looking for some feedback.
  8. Yes I agree. I dont think the same would have happened, had the terrain been more open and with less bloody bridges to cross. Easy for the Defenders... cut the bridge, you cut off supplies etc. I believe the 3rd FJ was responsible but my guess is they were held up elsewhere, so when Peiper was leaving Stavelot for Trois Points the plan was already FUBAR.
  9. Thats great.. I also moved the Puma's, Stummel's and a few HT's from I guess it would be the south side of town... took HMG from the forested Hill I think, and all over town.. and got shelled. It was murder lol..... We finally broke thru with brute force.. but I lost at least 5 vehicles also do the ATG in town... The attack was followed by the rest of the men and the KT tanks, the Panther was bogged and the crew bailed from artillery barrage... Played this campaign 4 times..
  10. My method was to use the upper road to try and spot the Priests with 1KT buttoned while the other KT and Panther used the lower road nearest I believe there was a rail line (Its been awhile) There was an obvious ATG emplacement on the edge of the map where the train tunnel is and the forested area near the bottom of the hill down from where the Priests are located. I mortared those two areas.. with mixed results. After spotting the Priests I had enough fire power to dispatch them rather quickly as the SPG are not as fast.. not sure if it is crew related. The other headache is the infantry covering the wood line parallel to the lower road.. they are in buildings a church etc... there are HMG littering the town and it is difficult to get accurately pin point them.. your looking at least x2 companies and they have plenty of support. It is a weird mix match.. That in the scenario all the support vehicles are non armored with exception of the Puma's.. so you really have 3 tanks and 4 Puma's the rest can take fire from any direction and be suppressed, We all know how your commanders or gunners fair when unbuttoned.. LOL I did find this online.. at work so cant quote from a few of my books in what really took place historically as far as KG Peiper's actual units that he sent to retake and secure Stavelot. "He left only a small contingent in Stavelot, thinking that troops from the 3rd FJ Division were following in his wake. Within hours after Peiper's departure, the 1st Battalion of the 30 Infantry Division's 117th Regiment reached the gasoline depot in the woods above Stavelot. During the day and into the night, the 1st Battalion pushed its way into Stavelot. The Germans, realizing that Peiper's supply route was now in jeopardy, launched a series of attacks to retake the town. An attack by ten Mark IV tanks was turned away with the help of American fighter planes, while another attack carried out by three King Tiger tanks from the south end of the town was dealt with by the TD's supporting the 1st Battalion. In the wake of these failures, Peiper was increasingly concerned about the situation at Stavelot. It had to be retaken, or else Peiper would be cut off north of the Ambleve River. The Germans strongest attempt yet to retake it would take place on the after of December 19. The Ambleve River could not be forded by vehicles, but infantry could (and did) ford the river"
  11. Yes.. the only reason why I won this mission the second time.. is because I knew about the Priests and the ATG's. I feel I got lucky in smashing the Priests without taking too much damage. Lost a bit of infantry still but still managed somehow to take the bride,. Why you would only send a recon element to secure a vital bridge that leads to your success with extremely limited support.... well I guess that is just war.... but I have to agree the 81mm mortars are useless.
  12. LOL I remember a few missions in the first title Barbarossa to Berlin. German infantry a couple 37mm ATG and maybe some tanks. KV1 tanks appeared and, well you sort of just want the infantry to take off as they have nothing. ATG... not a chance in hell. LOL only a lucky flank shot.
  13. It is strange that they would not have been in at least the vehicle pack. Sturmpanzer-Abteilung 217 was present and around the Caen area, 7 August. They escaped the Falaise pocket and the remaining vehicles from the 217 were used in Wacht am Rhein. (Battle of the Bulge) near St, Vith and then later in the Ruhr area.
  14. Just got my book. Will now read and look over a lot of materials. I will at the end of my read put together a Scenario. Never done any Campaigns so I will leave that to the experts. Will post when I have completed the read and submit where about the Scenario will be related and with what units. James.
  15. True. I would like to think the majority of players here want more of a challenge. That is not saying the mission and Campaigns now are not, anything but. But the early years do offer even more of that challenge a lot of us look for, always looking for more challenge. I hope the Battlefront team takes a look at that, which I am sure they have.
  16. I strongly think that they should consider North Africa and the beginnings of Barbarossa at the very least. Instead of doing a full out module for Normandy across the Rhine, I think the time would be better spent doing NA, or Barbarossa. I just think there is just more Campaign and Scenario possibilities and brings us full circle of sorts. But fighting French and British Armor early in France would be fun as well. It is a lot of work, but the new game engine, Scenario-Campaign Designers and modders would have a field day. The early years I think creates a more difficult game in some ways.
  17. Interesting.. I just ordered this book. Will read it and whip out a Scenario after I finish reading the book. Never done any Campaigns but I can at least do a really good scenario. Want to get all the accurate details and such. Will post again when finished. LOL probably in a month or two.
  18. Will be pre-ordering this week. So glad this Chapter is complete. Unless later the Heavens open and we get 41-42. LOL Thank you Battlefront and all those who make this possible. More Hours upon Hours of enjoyment.
  19. Dear GOD.... I hope so... Operation Compass, BattleAxe, Crusader, Gazala Battles... hell could you win a campaign as the Italians vs the UK? So many great battles. Sidi Barrani, Bardia, Tobruk, Bedda Fomm. 1st and Second German campaigns. You could do some UK LRRP scenarios. Naval support, Air Support... To me it was a damn good Combat Series.
  20. Would love to see Barbarossa.... For the life of me I miss the duel's between Pz II, Pz II vs BT and early T-34. I miss the KV-1 and KV-2.... truly a freaking TERROR and NIGHTMARE when you see them rolling towards you, and you know your only hope is a lucky flank shot. I also miss CMAK... I loved the African Campaigns, and with their new engine I believe it would be just wonderful not only to the players but to the scenario, and Campaign Designers. The duels between the Cruiser tanks and that of the Axis forces were wonderful. The Italian tanks could inflict damage if used correctly and offers a good challenge to even veteran players. I would definitely buy both.... yes, yes I think it would be a splendid plan that after the last Italian, and RT game that we should at least go to early 1941 the end of 1943. Thank you Battlefront and everyone who assists........ damn, need bribery money... LOL James.
  21. Well winter 2019 will definitely be a blast... LOL Thanks to the Battlefront team for all your hard work. Cheers, James.
  22. Awesome thanks Bootie for the assist and all your hard work. Greatly appreciated.
  23. Ok, thanks Bootie, I think I had way too much coffee while trying figure this out. Will send you the BTT file.
