i can't get my CMBB to run since i upgraded. the problem is this; i launch the game,sounds ok i get the battlefront .com start scene but its too big, bigger than it was when the game worked before upgrade.... and then the screen goes black and the message say game must be in 800x600 to run. then it kicks out to the desktop. my settings are for 800x600. I have tried higher.my refresh rate is 60 Hz. i read what they say on the support page and it doesnt work....( I have a geforce5200 card with the new drivers from nvidia and have updated my directx to 9.0b) I am using the correct driver for my monitor. I have deleted the BBprefs file from CMBB. I got rid of that MShotfix they mentioned. i think the game is somehow not getting the settings from the desktop. I tried a couple custom settings programs reccomended by nvidia support but they didnt do anything different, so i unloaded them. I have tried everything i can think of...anybody got some ideas? HELP!!!!

Did you just **** the bed on the MENSA entry exam and want a new way to show the world how smart you are? Chew on this one..... Ok its like this. I've had CMBO and CMBB for a long while now. Never had trouble , loved the game. Got my computer upgraded and now I have trouble. I got all new parts for my computer but the part i suspect is giving me grief is the new video card. Its the GeForce fx 5200. I've had it a little while now and no trouble great card super performance. The support pages at battlefront.com say it has caused some CMBB users grief and i cant figure out why my game wont run. I have the problem they describe.... the blackscreen right after loading... can hear a little Wagner there but no picture. I have the newest directX and the latest drivers for my card from nvidia. I have turned of the antialiasing thing ( what is antialiasing anyways?...). I have also tried tossing out that particular microslop hotfix they mention and tried an older driver number i saw listed on the forums. that alt-tab;alt-tab;mousebuttons; beep !!thing doesnt work for my computer ( and frankly thats not exactly a solution in my opinion....) I'm stumped....a guy like me is no good for a problem this big,...i'm looking for some heavy hitters here.....you brainiacs take a break and toss this problem around would you?
