Multiple models of buildings would be nice too. Or at least more building types.

Thanks Dey. Best of luck to you in the future.

Be sure and get the Northwest Europe winter skys as well if you haven't already.

You heard it from the horse's mouth. The next game will be Combat Mission: Pirates!. pirating Steve [/QB] -
France, Belguim, Netherlands. Does Luxembourg count? That's what I want the next Combat Mission game to have-Luxembourgers.

Just an observation. You see a lot of WWII shooters and RTS games. You even see Viet Nam and current day shooters. But you don't see anybody else making NATO vs Warsaw Pact games. T-72 is the closest I've seen. Do they know something we don't?

All wargamers ought to know who James Dunnigan is. Here's his opinion of the T-72:

Well, in my opinion, Early War would have to include the Winter War, so you, Sergei, would have another chance to play the Uber-Finns.

My name is Sequoia and I admit I am a early war fanboy. I admit I am powerless over my early war fanboydom and that my life is unmanageable.
Think of it. For the first time you could shoot at Norwegians and Dutchmen! How can anyone resist such a thing?

I website I recently read said they were only used on the Western Front, for example Remagen, and most of them were captured in the Ruhr Pocket. True?

Any word on this yet please?

Russian Battlefield says that T-35 wasn't used in Winter War. </font>Originally posted by Sergei:</font><blockquote>quote:</font><hr />Originally posted by Sequoia:

I've read that the one's sent against the Germans in '41 ran out of fuel before becoming engaged.

The name "Combat Mission" signifys, for most people, a high quality product. From a marketing standpoint, I think Battlefront would wish to continue using it. There is some confusion in the naming of the series so far in that CMBO is sometimes refered to as Combat Mission II, CMAK- Combat Mission III, so those names are out. Dare I suggest the new series be termed "Advanced Combat Mission" ?
Edit: Okay I'm not really serious but some other superlative would be appropriate.

I'm going to guess none were used in Italy or they would be in the game.

I'm not familiar with the KT. What's so crazy about it? (though obviously it would belong in CMBB)Originally posted by SGT. Mark:OK, the craziest tank to have would be the Soviet KT (Kyrliatyi Tank). Anyone familiar with this tank? I don't think it saw action. [/QB]

My experience is that crawl is even sneakier than sneak, but still no guarantee you won't be spotted, especially in open terrain. On the flip side of this, crawling units don't spot enemy units as well either.

I might as well list my own. First would be the Flakpanzer 38, not much firepower, but it looks really cool. The Hitler Juegend division (what was that, the 12th SS Panzer?) had them in Normandy.
Next would be the Staghound armored car, but at least we got them in CMAK.

This conversation leads me to wonder what Paradox is going to do with the Squad Leader lisence. Now I am a fan of the Europa Universalis series (not so much of Hearts of Iron). There is NO WAY Paradox is going to match Battlefront in creating a tactical game at the ASL/Combat Mission scale given Battlefront's years of experience and head start. I wonder what on earth Paradox is going to do with the lisence.

It's been years since I played Squad Leader, but didn't it allow at least Engineer squads to create smoke. Was there ever a thread on why CM doesn't allow for this?
-
Since the other thread is now about whether Jap is an insulting term or not, I thought I’d start a new thread on this subject. It’s been implied in the previous thread the Japanese Army was somewhat “second rate”; yet they were able to inflict one of the most humiliating defeats in British history at Singapore. Were the Commonwealth forces defending Singapore “third rate”?

I don't see one by Pud. There's one by satan (crosses himself). Are they the same person?
By the way Afrika Korps is spelled wrong on Satan's cover.

That's cool. I don't live too far from Camp Roberts. Do they permit tourist?
