  1. I have no mods Loaded and ran v1.11 with no problems. I then brought and loaded v2.00 I know have game crashes due to the appearance of something called app file with the battlefront logo on it. Totaly spoiled the game for me Battlefront support is helping with it see thread ref app files
  2. I may have missed a thread here, however, is there going to be a release of a British and commonwealth add on for the Italy module, and if there is, have we any idea of a release date?
  3. All, This game, like shockforce is excellent. There are some things which may not be perfect, however, in all I think it is the best of its kind. Well done to all who developed it. That said, are there any rough dates for the British module, and more importantly the Eastern front modules. The current normandy module is excellent, lots of good tactical problems, mayhem and frustration!!!!!
  4. Hi All, Ive just had my clock cleaned on the third mission Mission 1: I think I got a draw Mission 2: I got a tactical defeat. Mission 3: I got bitch slapped on the counter attack. The SMAW gunners are a waste of time, even when not suppressed Mission 3 is is a toughie, I think it would be tacticly unsound, in semi open countryside to send a truck plt against a reinforced mech plt!!!!! However in an urban setting, I think it would be a go. I also think that if on a Brecon battle course, you were told to clear a village area of a reinforced mech plt(+) in 30mins, even with air support, it would need more time. Whinging aside, I think the game needs more toughies like this, there must be a key to it, however it is escaping me at the moment! Good campaign, even if I have cursed the designer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. All, This is a winge session. Although a big fan of CMSF, and a supporter of how it has redefined computer wargaming. I am fast becoming fed up of logging on in the hope that the British forces module will be up for order. As with the marine module, scenario makers ( and there are some real good ones out there) stop making scenarios, in the hope that the new module contains upgrades, so the CMSF seems to go static. It has been a long time since this module was first advertised, with very little feedback on what stage it is at, and how close we are to pre order, and final release. Even the forum here seems to have got bored in waiting for it with no further threads or responses to it. I do understand, that there is a need to ensure the product is correct as far as possible for release, to ensure that there is no further financial burden on battlefront, but, the module, I believe, has been contracted out, and therefore must be managed by someone. How about the manager, managing, setting deadlines for completion and giving the frustrated fans some hope?
  6. Ive had problems with smoke since the update, noticably on two occasions for mortar, I selected short, quick for smoke and it was that quick I didnt get any!! Also with squads throwing smoke but non shown on the screen Any one else had similar
  7. I think that the whole CMSF concept has taken a step forward with the marines module. Yes there are some bugs, however it is an excellent game. Role on the British module
  8. Can I suggest a thread where we can suggest equipment/orbats for the forthcoming British Module? I would hope the following equipment is present Challenger, Warrior, Saxon, FV432 Series, Mastiff, Vector, Viking, Jackall, Panther, Striker( + Swingfire), Spartan, Piranha 5, Quad Bike & Trailer, Schimitar, Fuchs, Sparton, WMIK, Snatch Landrovers, 81mm Mortar,51mm Mortar, FS70, AS90, 105mm light gun, MBT LAW, Bedford 4 tonners As for orbats A Gurkha battalion, Patrols platoon, TA Battalion, Milan2 platoon, SF GPMG Platoon Any others people can think of?

  11. The army has now been reduced to imitating ground attack aircraft. It is cheaper than the real thing, and is less likely to drop its firepower on friendly troops.
  12. Referance Steves reply, I cannot wait for the British module to be added. Although the British and American Armies are thoroughly intergrated, and a lot of battle drills are the same, there is a definate distinction between the equipment and its employment. The British equipment, such as saxon and the landrover are not fit for purpose and players will have to rethink tactics to achieve missions. Also it would be good in the editor if we can combine British, US Marine, and American Army into mixed task forces, such as are employed in Afghanistan. Is there a rough date for the British Module? This is the best wargame to date despite some minor problems
  13. Is someone at battlefront going to make a decision and say if there is going to be a British & US marine add on? The game is excellent, even if it has a few problems that need tweaking.
  14. Although, thanks to the present Goverment, the British Army is undersized, under resourced and overstretched, it would be good to see its troops and equipment in this game. Does any body know if this is intended and any proposed dates?
