  1. Let me start by saying that I LOVE your games but I HATE your customer support. I bought the original Combat Mission and B2B and still enjoy playing them. about a year ago I purchased CMAK thru your site via the download option. The Setup downloaded but when I got to the page that gave me my license code, my browser closed (error). So I never was able to save my license code and I never received an email to the address I supplied. So I have a game that I cannot play. I emailed elicense@battlefront.com but never received any kind of reply, I emailed Battlefront directly... nothing. I paid my money, you charged my credit card but I still cannot play the game I've been waiting for. My dad served in WWII in Italy, Salerno through Rapido River and I thought this game would finally let me play some of the battles he was in. But... no. Does anyone out there care? 2. Getting frustrated... I purchased CMAK as a download last Sunday and closed the window before jotting down the license number. I figured I'd get a confirmation email anyway. I didn't, and now I can't start the game. I sent an email to eLicense and an email to Support plus I posted one message here on the tech support forum. I've gotten ZERO response from Battlefront. I use yahoo mail (shekbo@yahoo.com) and I've never had a problem with the SPAM filter eating valid emails plus I've checked the SPAM directory. NOTHING from Battlefront. You guys have my money. I'd like my game to work now... I little help please?? Tom Mechler
  3. I already tried emailing support, on Sunday, and so far I've heard ZIP. That's why I thought I'd try here too Tom
  4. Hi, On March 3 I purchased CMAK from your site. I bought it via download. I didn't realize I needed to have the license number and closed the browser window. For some reason I don't understand I never received a confirmation email from you. So now I have CMAK installed but I can't run it because I don't know my license number. Please Help, Thomas Mechler shekbo@yahoo.com
  5. My father was on the outskits of Cassino with the 141st during some part of the battle so it has always interested me. I have a copy of an old Avalon Hill game called Thunder on Cassino. This comes with a pretty nice map + several scenarios that simulate different portions of the 3rd battle. Thinking about it myself I don't see any of the Indian troops (Gurkas) that were involved in the fighting + How do you do castle walls? I'm a novice at scenario design but I'd be willing to collaborate with someone. Tom
  6. As I said in my post below... My father was a member of the 141st infantry during WWII. He is from PA but most of the unit was from the Texas national guard. He has told me about guarding prisoners in a North African cork forest, hitting the beach at Salerno, traveling through Naples to the Battle of Monte Cassino and finally the carnage of the attempted crossing of the Rapido river. After that his company was so under stength that he was send state-side. My dad is now 84 and in great shape. The heroism of his generation and the bravery that they exhibited have been an inspiration to me throughout my life. Some people may have taken my last post the wrong way when I said I was interested in using CM to replay some of the battles that my Dad was involved in. For me it would really be just to learn a little more about what he went through and to understand his role in the war. He never had too much to say about his time and when I ask him about the silver star he keeps in his dresser he just says "Oh, lots of guys got those. It was no big deal" For me, it's a big deal. Tom

  9. I've been enjoying CM for a few years now and with the release of AK I'm finally able to play in the theatre of operation that my father actually fought in during WWII. My dad was an infantryman with the 141st Infantry Regiment (thus my Tpatch screen name). His regiment shipped to North Africa, landed at Salerno and proceeded north through Naples, Caserta, Mignano and finally Cassino and the Rapido River. After these last battles my father's company was so under-strength due to combat losses that he was shipped back state side and spent the rest of the war using is accounting degree in Lake Placid NY. He is 84 now and still in good shape. He has never given he many details about the war but he did give me a stack of letters, a book called 5 years, 5 countries, 5 Campaigns a history of 141 in WWII + I have a "Soldier's Guide to Italy". I'd love to replay some of the engagements his unit was in. Can someone point me to some good scenarios involving the 141st? Maybe Salerno or Cassino or Rapido? I was a little dissapointed that I didn't see anything in the scenarios on the disk that really fit the bill. Maybe there's somthing on-line. Thanks for your help, Tom Mechler
