  1. Ok, I'm totally confused. Ive read that German calculation of sloped armor are from the horizontal, and the US-British standard is from the vertical. Are the slope measurements (in degrees) found in CMBB in the German style or the US-Brit??? Did the Soviets use the horizontal or vertical for the standard of measurement?
  2. @ Joshik: Like your sig. Haven't heard that phrase in about twenty years!
  3. Is it not something which could be repaired in the prior patches? Strange...
  4. Ir recenty booted up the '21st Army Counterattacks' operation as the Allies vs the AI. After playing through the first of four battles (50+), the op abruptly ended, reporting that I had won a total victory with only 1 Axis soldier not dead/captured. What ever happened to advancing on to the next section of the map for three more battles? How lame.
  5. Im agree with DaveR...the series is sadly incomplete without the campaigns in the Far East. Id love to see the Japanese Imperial Army modeled in CM.
  6. Well I seem to have fixed it. Seems the problem was the 'Combat Mission Preferences' file, a small one which is created after playing for the first time, needed to be manually deleted when re-installing. I think it probably holds the config info re:graphics options for the game.
  7. Yes, Ive turned them off and back on and re-booted several times now. I ve also tried 'repairing' the install, then resorted to doing a full re-install of the game. Still, it boots up in software rendering mode. Is there anything I can do??? This is frustrating...
  8. I just purchased CM: Beyond Overlord and Im enjoying it immensely. I have a problem tho...one of the other games on my system requires me to disable DirectDraw via the DxDiagnostic tool in Windows. I loaded CM:BO after forgetting to re-enable DirectDraw on my system, and I went ahead and told it to use software rendering. Now I'm screwed because I can't seem to figure out how to revert back to 3D mode in the game. Is there anything I can do to fix it, other than reinstalling??? I have an Athlon 1.0Mhz w/ 384 RAM and the GeForce FX5600 (latest drivers). Any help would be greatly appreciated.
