  1. After the latest DiF download, the AI aircraft receive double digit ratings i.e. 92 points while my aircraft remain rated at single digit points i.e. 3 points. While this automatically gives me legendary victories (388 to 17, for example), I'd still like to know if anyone else has encountered this and if so how to fix it. Just recently purchased the game and found it somewhat addictive.
  2. One battle which leapt to mind for me was from the American Civil War. Perhaps the stand by the 20th Maine at Little Round Top would qualify as a small unit action that ultimately determined a campaign?
  3. One uncle served on a Royal Canadian Navy corvette in the North Atlantic. A great uncle, on the paternal side as well, was a Swedish orphan who came to Canada. Joined the Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry (part of the Canadian 1st Infantry Division) and served as an anti-tank gunner. Served during the entire Italian campaign. He and my uncle used to get drunk at family reunions and argue which service won the war (funny, no discussion about which country won the war...for them it was a given). Outside of family reunions, neither man made a habit of discussing the war. My great uncle told one story about a dark night in Italy. Battalion HQ told them to expect a German night attack backed by panzers. During the wee hours they heard clanking noises and lit up the field in front of the Canadian lines. At the same time they opened fire on several shapes in the Italian pasture...all cows with clanking bells.

  6. Regina and the Twilight Zone...yeah, it can be hard to tell the difference at times. Particularly when refusing to go to daylight savings time is actually a hot political issue. But CMAK has arrived, so its off to win one for Italy. Saskatchewan Roughrider fans like the underdogs.
  7. Again, still nothing here in Regina. This is starting to remind me of a Twilight Zone episode.
  8. Winnipeg and Regina must work on the same Canada Post system. Still nothing in Saskatchewan. Although it didn't snow. Looks like CMBB and a little SPWAW to tide me over.
  9. Sorry, this should have been on the "Any Canadians get CMAK yet? thread. Need another coffee.
  10. Once more there was nothing in the Regina mailbox. And it snowed again. So once more I'll be shovelling the driveway. As for not changing the clocks here, well, as I get older its just one less thing to think about. Anything to make life simpler. Would be willing to playtest an Ortona scenario. Had a great uncle in the 1st Inf Div and am originally from Edmonton, AB. Believe the Loyal Edmonton Regiment was involved in that battle.
  11. Why am I surprised that the east is first again. Just like federal elections...they're over before we finish voting in Regina. Guess I'll shovel the driveway.
  12. Nothing in Regina except wind and some falling temps.
  13. Nothing here in Regina yet. Probably sitting on the same table as the CMAK copy going to Saskatoon.
