  1. Agree. I am liking this thread... can't wait.
  2. Thanks for mentioning 'Trappenjagd', I missed downloading these previously. I really enjoy historical scenarios / ops.
  3. Sigh... Oh well, good luck. Someone will respond shortly to help you out I am sure. By the way, I have heard Norton mentioned as "one big virus" in itself by quite a few people. Just passing this on.
  4. First thing I always do with any new computer that may have Norton installed is trash bin Norton and also any easy access IE icons. Firefox with Ad Blocker, Avast Anti-Virus (free version)... virus free for years and no problems installing programs. This is on two cpu's (Workstation and laptop) with Win7 and one older desktop with WinXP sp3 as OS's. I have never liked anything Norton. Just my two cents.
  5. Guess what? My post is not editable anymore... gosh darn it!1!1
  6. Yes I did, from what I remember of it. Steel Panthers WaW (free download) series is great for gaining experience and keeping track of kills / units. Loved that game, still do, just do not get around to using it much since CMx1 and CMx2 take up most of my wargame time. It totally reminded me of TOBRUK by Avalon Hill, except for the computer handling all tasks that I deplored doing when playing board games. Now 'Critical Hit' makes an updated version called ADVANCED TOBRUK 4th edition. For those interested and might not know about this company: http://www.criticalhit.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=21_30&products_id=194 I may have to pick this up for the bookshelf, just for nostalgia / reading purposes.
  7. That sounds like a good idea. Ahhhh Steel Panthers, I really enjoyed that game. SPWaW was / is terrific. The Meta campaigns are a blast. I fire SPWaW up every once in a while just for nostalgia purposes, SPMBTwin as well. Quality games especially for being free now.
  8. noob, have you tried any of the other theaters with PzC's (PzC Moscow '41, PzC Kursk, etc or PzC Tobruk, PzC El Alamien) with CMx1 at all previously? Those are my favorite theaters and I am just being curious.
  9. Against the AI in PzC. Sorry for not explaining what I meant in a better way.
  10. Same here. It would be great if a solo version, of this idea, could be implemented in some way down the road by someone. I have always liked PzC's, this is a great combination for a campaign layer in CM.
  11. Says the beta tester that probably gets free copy's... no bias there what-so-ever... Seriously, to each their own. I enjoy CMx1 and will for some time, no matter how much sburke and others dis it, I don't give a rats ass. Having said that, firing up CMFI right now for some CMx2 action.
  12. Because lucky me I didn't burn myself out using those games over the years. I still have hundreds of scenarios / ops and the RobO's quick campaign generator to keep CMAK (CMETO) and CMBB spinning. I like very large battles and ops as well, CMx1 is great for that as Erwin has been mentioning in other threads. I do like the CMx2 engine though, just not my favorite theatre... Normandy. Digging Italy though. Hopefully there will be a North Africa version down the road. Really looking forward to the Russian front as well.
  13. Thought I would pass this along, especially for you Rake (if you haven't seen it). Here is a link to Volcano Mods. It is a website dedicated to graphic mods for Panzer Campaigns and other Tiller titles. Really good artwork. You will have to register to download files and get to the pages with the links / pics.
  14. I have Cyberpower 3.60 GHz workstation, with 16GB RAM, 8 core's and GTS 550 Ti card... Of course it's a PC. I work with Mac's, being a graphic artist, at work. Didn't stop me from buying that beauty of a PC I mentioned above... Just saying.
