  1. Personally, I don't mind feedback - good, bad or indifferent. Before you spend a lot of time on this, you should be aware of a couple of things though:- 1) most mod authors have moved on long ago, so you might end up having to do the work yourself anyway (& that's no bad thing - your interpretation is as valid as that of anyone else ...) 2) realise that vehicle colour is at best an imprecise art. To use the panzer grey colour you mention as a topic - many 1939/40 grey vehicles were almost black in colour, the grey was so dark. As the war progressed, existing vehicles lightened just due to continued UV exposure, dust & mud. So, in order to correctly capture the "feel" of the date of battle you're fighting, you might need several different mods for the same vehicle. Further to that, vehicles in the same unit may have last received a lick of paint at different times, & so everything won't necessarily have that uniform grey colour I think you'd like to see anyways - sound complicated enough yet? If you want a complete set of vehicles with a uniform colour scheme, you should look for some of David I's CMAK/ CMBB mods. Most of the CMAK mods port over into CMBB, & David spent a lot of time creating set of vehicles with similar camo schemes. The early war vehicles are a bit harder to sort, but the were several sets out & about in the early days. I'm not sure how easy they are to come by nowadays.
  2. Thank you so much! So surprised anyone is still doing mods for CMBB ...
  3. Good to hear - that's the spirit that many of the mod authors posted their work in the first place, & COG was of a like mind when he created the site to host them ...
  4. I could probably do that one as well ... I'll take a look when I get home from work.
  5. I think these were both uploaded to Zimorok's site before the new cmmods site came back online. I have both of them, & if no-one objects, I'll upload them to cmmods.com Then you can get them from there.
  6. Did you also look under CMAK mods - some are suitable for both games, & he may have posted them in the CMAK section?
  7. Chris, This page has a few options ... http://www.perthmilitarymodelling.com/reviews/vehicles/dragon/dr6290.html
  8. Nicely done! I agree with your dislike of "factory fresh" vehicles, but I could never really get the balance right, so I just left the mods I did with a light coating of dust & dirt ...
  9. Special for David I Whitewashed version of my SOV 85mm AA gun Get it at www.cmmods.com
  10. 76mm No not tried it - I got my patches d/loaded years ago. But, for each CMBB patch listed on the "patches" page, the first download site listed is "Battlefront.com server". When I click, I get the download window opening that shows the source as "ftp.battlefront.com". Not followed through, as I don't need to ... ... but you seem to be suggesting that if I do, I get redirected to a 3rd party site (the ones that are listed below as optional download locations?
  11. Does this mean the Battlefront.com site link for downloading the patches for CMBB doesn't work? Or are we looking at a CDV version (europe) quirk?
  12. What about d/loading from this site? Top of the page "Support" "Patches" scroll down to what you need ... Doesn't that work ...?
  13. Welcome, 1st - don't panic. I too have a PC with XP on it, & I get the same message each time I put the CMBB disk into the CD drive. I think you've got these messages because the CD disk drive is set to autorun. Your message shows you have already installed CMBB on the pc, so, I would advise the following ... A) Check out where the programme is on your hard drive by opening windows explorer(usually program files folder). You can do this by right clicking with the cursor over the "start" button on your desktop. Choose "explore". Once you've found it (should be somewhere like C:\ program files\ combat mission 2), I'd create a shortcut & put it on your desktop. This means you don't have to go searching for the file to launch the game from the hard drive next time you switch on. C) Now, when you fancy a game, pop in the CMBB CD. The CD drive disk will autorun & up pops the message you've seen before. Select cancel. Another screen pops up asking you to resume or exit set up. Choose exit set up. Leave the CD in the drive (like you're ever gonna take it out - ever ) D) Now, if you have the short cut on your desktop, click on it to start the game. The disk needs to stay in the drive whilst the game starts up, but all the necessary files are on your hard drive, & the programme will run from there. Hope this helps! Happy ostfront gaming!

  20. Romanian T-3 (grau & whitewashed) Based on Mikey D's grau PzIIIM & for those who want a 42-43 looking T-4G, I used Mikey D's Grau PzIVG early mod as a start point & made the turret & hull skirts transparent so they don't show in game. Again, posted in grau & whitewash. www.cmmods.com
