  1. Well, I can't believe it's not Butter ! On a less serious note (Ok, JK'ing aside)...Great News, Steve & Co, for this New Years Resolution :-)
  2. Yeah, I'm sorry to hear that stuff like this happens to CM Members, and It would be better off if BF just did away with the Rep Counter...No matter what anyone else says you're a Great Asset to the CM Community...At least, in your own special way :-)
  3. Damn, JK...I just noticed you have a Very Big Negative Post Reputation. In regards to your Post...Next Time, I want a 2 to 1 Casualty Ratio against Brother Ed's Ruskies, because the Germs are supposed to be twice as good as the average Bear.
  4. From the Midwest, are you...There use to be (still might) a group called the Midwest Wargamers Association Magazine (MWAN). It was a Monthly/Quarterly Mag that had reviews of all the Games, Conventions, Miniatures, etc. We use to carry that Mag (along with other Historical Miniatures & Board Games, etc) back in my Hobby Shop days in NOVA (Northern Virginia). Which reminds me, I may need to visit one of those Miniatures Gaming Conventions here on the East Coast (ex; Historicon, Cold Wars, etc) this coming year before vacation.
  5. NCC 1701e...Another Die-Hard Trekster :-) http://www.madshipyard.com/wallpaper.htm Oh, Carry-On about your bitness, and hope you get some inquires regarding CM.
  6. Hey, Deb does Dallas...I think a better option is just get a Good Used Laptop (ex; I have used Dell D810 & D830 Laptops w/o issues with CMx1) that's between 5-10 yrs old) w/Dedicated ATI-Nvidia Video Card in the 128-512mb range.
  7. I've seen this a couple times in past, and think it looks Odd (especially for WWII)...I wonder if it's one of those left over programs from CMSF (which uses Modern Weapon Tracking Systems, etc) that was left in (not deleted/over-looked, etc) for the WWII Titles.
  8. Shhh, it's Ok...There's an App for that... http://www.ghqmodels.com/store/military-models-wehrmacht-world-war-ii-micro-armour.html
  9. Not again...! I thought we concluded back then that Soft Vehicles (in general) have a different way of receiving and taking damage from Small Arms compared to Hard Vehicles. Thou, your tests of having Windshields up vs. down is interesting, and didn't think it would matter...I wonder if it's a carry-over from CMSF where Vehicles with Glass (Armored) would receive better Small Arms protection (and it wasn't deleted for the WWII Titles) ? Joe
  10. As in, 'Bolt Action' Miniature Rules using 15 to 54mm Minis...Nice :-) I think you and me need to head up to one of those Miniature Gaming Conventions on the East Coast this coming year...if anything, to at least reminisce the Good 'Ole Days of Miniature Gaming.
  11. Oh, No, I'm not confused between them one bit...Correct, all the planning happens before the Battle starts (and, why we have that battle in the first place), and why my initial argument of having limited C2 during a Scenario still stands (because, anything more would happen before hand).
  12. Basically, It's one thing to receive/convey info (which might only take a few minutes through radio, etc), but then the Player is allowed to essentially develop a Plan and act on that plan the very next minute (which, in RL, to develop and initiate a plan would take anywhere from an hour or day...depending on situation/circumstances like size of battle-Company vs. Regiment, etc). Thou, and in saying the above, the same argument can be said for spotting Enemy Icons on the Battlefield, and having a Player react against them in an instant. So, I will just leave it at that...
  13. Thanks for the info, guys...Looks like I will just be getting the Dell 2007FP (20") 4:3 Aspect Monitor.
  14. Well, will you look at the time...It's looks like I better be going or will be late :-)
  15. It will be ok in the end, thou....BF will soon enough give back the fighting chance that the CW deserves, at range :-)
  16. Yeah, all that in a minute or two of time....Glad they are using Modern Day Radios...Oh wait, but this is WWII, never mind :-( In all seriousness, it's the all too quick (God-Like) C-2 info sharing that we have access to in the same scenario...The only info we as players should have is the info that's giving to us at beginning of scenario (or at least increase the access to this info 3x fold in time). Well, at least I wasn't in my Ranting Mode...Much :-)
  17. So, in a nice way, what your saying it's a possible CM Game Flaw/limitation or oversight...An interesting Observation, nonetheless.
  18. Yeah, and I for one have an issue with SMG's in general as being a little over-moddled, especially at range. The other issue is that MG's (especially HMG's) at short range (25-40 meters) should actually have far less effective firepower (which CM doesn't reflect) then SMG & Rifles, because these MG's should cower more often (self-suppression) due to not having that flexibility to maneuver their MG around at Close Range/Quarters in a Static Position, etc...This is one reason why I try and give all HMG's a Moral Class and or Less Motivation level then Rifle/SMGs Squads to help offset the overall effects.
  19. A feature where Units with Low Ammo fire at a slower rate (vs. troops with normal or high ammo that will fire at a steady rate). I believe as it stands now, It doesn't matter if you have a lot, or a little ammo, troops will still fire at the same pace (assuming the exact conditions are met).
  20. Ahh, Chit...Thanks for ruining it for me, Mord...
  21. Two things could be happening here...A Prone Medic giving Aid could easily represent Troops being dragged, and the fact that Medic Troops are not normally targeted in RL helps a little with their survivability, and so 'm fine with this.
