  1. Well, that spotting time definitely seems a little to quick IMHO, but at least it's an interesting test.
  2. Actually, the Panthers Long-Range Narrow Optics (which would come into play in this case) should be a little better (or even superior) to Western & Eastern Armies...It's the Short Range where the Panther is supposed to have issues due to those Long-Range Narrow Optics, and the lack of better short range vision ports. Thou, the Late War Sherman has a Panoramic View, and improved optics (especially the 76mm Variants), which makes acquiring short range targets easier & faster, it still hard to acquire those long range targets due to range. This is where the Panthers Long-Range Narrow Optics come into play, However and in saying this, the Panther still needs to rotate it's turret back and forth to take advantage of those Optics (which takes time). Basically, the Sherman should take much longer to spot long range targets, and the Panther can do it relatively reliable, but taking a little longer time. @Bullet...Delete the Stock Hit Decals, and use aftermarket..., because Damn !
  3. I'm using an AMD Radeon HD7700, 1MB, GDDR5, 880MHz Core Clock...Of course, this Vid Card was introduced 5 yrs ago. Thou, it seems many here prefer Nvidia, and just getting any of the GTX 7 to 9Ti series should be fine.
  4. Since this is CMFB, it's most certainly the M21 Mortar HT (even in CMBN).
  5. Yeap, even Infantry in Woods can be readily acquired due to Modern Systems...Your best bet is to have Inf hiding in Heavy Woods to give off less Thermal Signature, and only unhide to fire in ambush/close targets or at range with ATGM's. Now, and in saying the above, I don't play Modern, but have a good idea of what's going on.
  6. Shhh...I'm Hunting Wabbits (or other Fresh Meat), lol Yeah, I figured someone will come along and say, "What a minute, haven't you been playing CMx2 for a few years now".
  7. Yeah, we can issue 'Target' Orders at different Waypoints with Armor/Inf in same turn, but it seems not for Mortars...Maybe a Game Limitation ?
  8. Ok, Sid & Sulomon...I'm very New to CMx2 myself. I just picked-up this game last week, and in need of 1x PBEM Opponent for Tiny/Small CMFB Meeting Engagements. Promise I don't bit...Much. Now..."DO YOU WANT TO PLAY A GAME" :-) Joe
  9. Shhh, try and delete this before anyone else takes a look...Oh Never mind, you can't.
  10. Don't worry, Tomato, return Game File coming by tonight :-)
  11. Ok Cheltster, I have a Dell OptiPlex 790, i5 Core 2 Quad, 3.0Ghz CPU, 8MB Ram, 1GB ATI Video, Win 7 (also had a Core 2 Duo with same specs), and these Rigs ran CMx2 fairly well using Medium Settings, except Bigger Games where the Frame-Rate dropped...So, I suggest going on Flea-Bay and getting a Re-Furb version in best condition. Here in the States I paid around $250 (which included a Monitor/Key/Mouse). Yeah, no need to get the latest, greatest, costliest, as you probably wont see much of an improvement. Joe
  12. Yeah, Online vs PBEM would be the better option as you can at least finish Games more quickly...As others mentioned, try the 'Few Good Men', or 'The Blitz'', and you should have no problem finding a player in the UK.
  13. -Or- just don't bother, and let me know if interested in PBEM Small QB's in any of the WWII Titles...I don't bite, much. Oh Never mind, you only want players from your side of the pond...I'm in U.S. Umm, Cheerios :-) Joe
  14. Yes, and were used to cross small obstacles like ditch/trenches.
  15. As others mentioned, it may be a Pioneer Bridge, but its RL function is to cross impassable ditches (which units can still cross in CM as difficult terrain).
  16. If your Old Rig dies, then purchase another similar Old Rig on Flea-Bay to play your CMx1. Examples: I use to own a Dell D810 (ATI-600 Video), and Dell D830 (Nvidia 140 Video) Core2 Duo Laptops to play CMx1, and along with a Dell Desktop OptiPlex 755 Core2 Duo to play both CMx1 & CMx2 with no problems...Now, I just own a Dell Desktop OptiPlex 790 i5 Quad Core to play both CMx1 & CMx2 (thou, I don't play CMx1 much anymore).
  17. Upload this as a Youtube Video...Or, it didn't happen :-)
  18. Hey Guys, It's Miller Time...Just Relax and have a Brew or three on me :-)
  19. God I hope, BF, doesn't just come out and say..."Ok, Forumites, here is your awaited Patch already, and if there is anything wrong with it, then it's to damn bad"...Just hope it doesn't come down to that. So, Members of the Forum..."Don't Worry, Be Happy".
  20. Now, Now...Can we all learn to get along (or Life...Whichever). The Patch will simply come out in due time, and that is that :-)
  21. Well, it's more then likely that BF found out the 4.0 Upgrade has more issues then anticipated...When they find one issue, it will affect another, and both needs to be taken care of before moving forward...So, we really don't know how many total issues there are...The very fact it's taken this long does mean BF is taken this patch serious enough.
  22. Yes, and when you do purchase any of the WWII Big-Bundle Titles, then PM if you need a PBEM Opponent. Promise I don't bit...Much :-) Joe
