  1. The Kursk CMx10 campaign sounds like an excellent adventure. Is / will there be there any way for non participants to view the Kursk CMx10 campaign battles / AARs? Dawg
  2. I tried to explain to the doctor that, "The finals will be here soon…" Please double dose me. No prospect on the prescription(s) till da Dr. knows just how much pain and suffering I will endure. Any best estimates on what the ROW V finals will encompass? Dawg … Peeking into the FOW AAR #1: "It was a dark and stormy night on a very Evil Bridge." How many extra points can I snag for dat?
  3. Melnibone … can I start to cut down on the medication now? Why would you want to do that? Kingfish … No, have the doctor issue you a new prescription, this time for one twice as strong I would want to do that! Kingfish … Deadline for both games and AARs is June. I can't calculate the total scores and announce the finalists without first factoring in the AAR bonus. Maleme – 100% Evil Bridge – 100% Hell - 76% Wet - 75% St Edouards – 34% (It is dark in there and I can’t fine me torch… ) Are there any ROW V post skirmish ‘I swear I wrote da AAR myself…’ or drug testing issues one need prepare for? I really never used roids in any of my ROW V Scenarios. I got a C+ in English Literature you know? Dawg a/k/a Teufel Hunden (nice tattoo) … und immer eine steife Brise!
  4. Where is the 'Official' ROW V Tattoo facsimile gallery posted? Sincerely, Dawg of upper armed combat…
  5. ROW V - Dinner Dance - Diversified ‘Theme Selections’ update! In search of a truly Authentic WWII Adventure and ‘ambiance’ (French word… I think?) enhanced proposals. One gallant gladiator suggested Baked Beans & Beer Pot-Luck, with French condiments of course. http://members.cox.net/dawgbonz3/ROWV/Condiment01.jpg Another proposal, amphetamine supplements should be served … as an appetizer .. hors d'oeuvre …another French word… I think? Would be a special tribute to the historic Maleme Axis parachutist packets. Public Speaker: I like Ike but he served the country well and has moved on. http://members.cox.net/dawgbonz3/ROWV/ROWVGuestSpeaker.jpeg I am working hard on a public speaker to give that esprit de corpse …another French word… I think? We have until June sumpin so… keep doz dispatches coming. BTW: Ballet is a French word too… I think? Dawg… looking for some 78 RPM - Big Band MP3s…. "An empty Espresso machine is a terrible thing to waste." PS: IMO, Scenario designers should consider "amphetamine supplements" as part of ALL the scenarios! Should get the AAR’s back to you quicker.
  6. Thanks guys. My brief search seems to point to most guys using collateral dust, damage as point of impact affirmation and adjusting from that. Guess that worked during the day fairly well. "Hey Joe, you just blew out that wall… over 2 clicks." Or sumpin like that. In "Another River, Another Town" John P. Irwin said he relied heavily on the Tank Commander’s call as to what and where to shoot. Irwin, the gunner, kept his eye on the periscope but his TC really adjusted his fire more than tracers. Irwin’s account of the close in fighting near Padderborn, Dessau, etc. bestows new respect for hand help AT weapons in the closing days of WWII. Dawg
  7. Thanks for the feedback. Did a little looking and found Fionn Kelly & Madmatt http://www.combatmission.com/articles/usmedtanks/m4a1.asp M4A1(76)W Type Amount 76mm 71 .50 caliber 600 .45 caliber 900 .30 caliber 6250 Hand grenades 12 2" Smoke mortar 12 From other material it sounds like every cannon round had a tracer? Did not find any mention of tracer rounds fired from the tank gunner’s machine gun. Dawg … not a tank grog dawg
  8. Thanks Kingfish. Looked under "P" but... missed it. Dawg
  9. About 60 years ago this week, the 3rd Armored Division was striking the "Fort Knox of Germany" at Paderborn. Any recommended scenarios semi or historical CM-BO/BB/AK would be appreciated. Dawg… at intermission in ROW V [ March 31, 2005, 05:57 PM: Message edited by: Dawg Bonz ]
  10. Just picked up "Another River, Another Town" by John P. Irwin. Interesting personal account of a teenage tank gunner coming of age in Combat, 1945. Speaking of his 76mm tank cannon and coaxially mounted .30 caliber machine gun, "Both guns were zeroed in to hit the same target at 1,800 yards, which made it possible to use machine gun tracers to target an object quickly and then fire the cannon to score." How often were tracer rounds fired from the tank gunner’s machine gun? Did the bow gunner also fire tracers? Dawg
  11. ROW V - Dinner Dance Party favors? Diversified ‘Theme Selections’ are now under consideration. #1: Cannon Battling: May be possible to acquire operative place card holders like these? Food fights grogs fistfuls of fun! Dawg …doing da Degas in da rain. http://members.cox.net/dawgbonz3/ROWV/CannonBavarian01.jpg
  12. Particular patriotic pugnacious pugilist inquired how they could contribute to the post ROW V, Dinner Dance revelry. Start saving your cans now. Dawg Recycling http://members.cox.net/dawgbonz3/ROWV/Saveyourcans.jpeg
  13. ROW V - Dinner Dance Carte du jour! Fine points after tracking. Snoop Dawg Sniffing. *arm band optional affair* http://members.cox.net/dawgbonz3/ROWV/Cartedujour01.jpg [ March 28, 2005, 03:24 PM: Message edited by: Dawg Bonz ]
  14. ROW Rumbles? My ‘very significant hottie other’ asked several cogent ROW V questions. 1) "Will ROW V celebrate a Dinner Dance / Awards Ceremony? 2) "If yes, will the festivity be a Black Tie / Couture event?" 3) "Will there be valet parking for the limousines?" Dapper Dawg … wearing Christian Dior… Moves latter G-7.
  15. Hey Melnibone, Did you see the poetic verse scrawled in French on the back door of St. Edouards? There once was a challenge called ROW. Frolicked only by folks in the know. If engaged long enough. Contests are remarkably rough. But so are the boyz of ROW. Dawg… off to ‘Fresh Shrimp’ for dinner and post feast to gather fresh beans for fracas fortifying. Feeding La Pavoni nourishes the not too centralized processing unit. "An empty Espresso machine is a terrible thing to waste."
  16. Apologies all round. My barrister battle buddy advised me of the missing bridge beacon. "No Diving, Dumping or Jumping from Bridge!" This sign should be displayed in a prominent position and included in the general briefing. He deliberately excluded any bungie prohibition for those who enjoy the thrill of Parabolic Maneuvers in the Dark. GAJ: That is what my Doctors say as well! My ears are perhaps not as finely attuned to the incomparable points of operatic singing in the cryptic chaos of St. Edouards as yours. Now I did enjoy the twilight performance of Bizet's 1875 opera Carmen but… no one was shooting at me. The Maleme sea side air is refreshing and you can fish there too! Kenfedoroff: Bait in the French vogue, caviar! Skip those plastic, weedless wacky worms and stick with genuine, fresh fish eggs for fish bait. Bring a BIG ice chest… with refreshments and to keep the caviar cool as well. Dawg … fluffing the bunk pillow, implementing CD and dreaming of Carmen's love quadrangle & caviar. ROW moves tomorrow after dreams of romantic roe tonight.
  17. Dawg’s - Entertainment Reckoning ROW V - Group 7 – ------------------------------------ Sea Side Vacation at Maleme = 100% Evil Bridge! = 100% Moistened figure formed by two lines + one =54% Highlanders gone to the underground = 32% St. Edouards Bedtime ECT = 20% ------------------------------------ Scenario suggestion: 1) Meandering Across Moltke Bridge would be much easier if the scenario designers added a pedestrian walkway along the edges of the bridges. Pedestrian Tragic Signals, like they have in Paris, would be a pleasing augmentation. Vert = Vague Humaine Jaune = Mouchard Le Rouge = Se retirent 2) That fishing boat mod would make Evil Bridge very Catfish accessible as well. Dawg … off to play Big Band Bagpipes Lullaby in St. Edouards
  18. A credible platform for a mobile field kitchen and bakery would require ‘oven watch’ or your opponent may be eating under watched, over baked logistics… not much fun. If it ain’t fun, why are you doing it … unless you get paid for it? Dawg in da mobile field kitchen and bakery… en guard … a French baking tem.
  19. For my Evil Bridge Adversary… Yo Cuzn… Dat BIG City Park Lagoon Cat Fish … He is on da Bridge & coming to Snap You Up! Be Afraid… Be VERY Afraid! Dawg Baiting da hook Fishy ROW V moves afta tonight’s Fancy French Disco Dancing moves.
  20. GreenAsJade : lum dee dum dee doo.... I like the rhythm. You can dance to it. The lyrics are da bomb. I would buy the 78 rpm single. Dawg off to French Dinner Dancing … moves latter.
  21. Dawg’s ROW V - Group 7 – Workbench Contests ------------------------------------ Sea Side Vacation at Maleme = 76% Moist figure formed by two lines + one =50% ‘Space Lobsters of Doom: Urban Renewal – Evil Bridge!’ = 46% Highlanders Hiding in their about to become Hell = 24% St. Edouards Bedtime ECT a/k/a Night of the Animated Anesthetized= 17% Is there a way to make extra points beyond the 5 Million word AAR? Maybe we can have an all expense paid ‘legislative junket & golf tour’ for the scenario designers…. To … France? Or maybe … Alaska? Great rates to Alaska now. Dawg still on the Mush – Moves latter tonight Group 7 colleagues
  22. Gratified I could be of assistance Melnibone. Very much like your signature good fellow. "I'm all in favor of keeping dangerous scenarios out of the hands of people who can’t ROW-L over laughing." I am certain the genuine ROW V scenario designers are guffawing. They made need a mild sedative when the AARs begin to arrive. Too much laughter and folks label you as nuts or sumpin… at least that is what the Doctor declares. He is French you know. Melnibone … Group 12 Situation - Loud explodey munitions of all calibres are falling on me relentlessly in all games. Are you sure you are not in Group 7? Déjà vu … Maybe I need more ECT but I coulda sworn that was my encounter as well! Dawg on the Mush
  23. Melnibone lol...and I thought it was just the scenario designers who were...shall we say...mentally unbalanced . I fear these games are pushing you closer to the abyss... lol... What makes you think I am not one of the scenario designers? The abyss, the gorge, the chasm I am of late encountering has a very Evil Bridge across it but that changes several times a day… or night. At times the perdition appears to be St.Edouards. Then things melt and up from the gorge the Highlanders are pushing me back to recover in the salty air of Maleme. It all swirls and swirls into a very Wet Triangle of chaos. It is not the voices, the screams of OH… ROW is me! That can make some "mentally unbalanced". The disturbing fragment is somehow …my CM interface has been converted to… FRENCH! Has it happened to anyone else yet? I got a "D" in French toast you know. Dawg on Soy Nuts
  24. ------------------- Melnibone : Don't let those napkins fall into enemy hands Soldier! ------------------- Not to worry Melnibone. Napkins are all coded in French! I got a "D" in French horn. Why do think I am going back to St.Edouards ? The handkerchief savoir-faire strategy was serviceable. I got FOW into FOW and across FOW! Sorry for the FOW but no spoiler slips from these lips. I would never mention the hidden 'the pillar of heavenly fire' Rambo style scenario augmentation that may be included in all the ROW V scenarios. Dawg on a bicycle
  25. Dear Mr. Puppchen, …. a huge single explosion occurred and blew up (rubbled) about 46 building squares and docks across the entire left side of the board…… Impressive! Thank you for your covert ballistic clue to 'the pillar of heavenly fire' Rambo style! I will not post this SPOILER in the ROW V thread so you can be assured it will be kept secret. I am assuming that the designers of Space Lobsters of Doom: Urban Renewal scenario of ROWV – Evil Bridge! are aware of this ‘intermittent 500lb. version of the "Little Boy" bug’ and have included it for a surprise equalizer in the scenario. I have called for CAS but am uncertain if my targeting communication Your Right! My left.… was clear or intercepted. I am currently employing a dubious diversionary tactic…. "a constant stream of crews bailing out different knocked out vehicles." In an effort to freeze my opponent with laughter till my CAS can employ the hidden "Little Boy" bug / equalizer. Sincerely, Dawg … My back against ‘a trailer down by the river’ & wondering what the heck happened? PS: Is there a method to ‘walk’ this pillar of heavenly fire over turns from your misplaced TRP?
