  1. Well while we are on the subject of Operation design. I have my own question. How exactly does no man's land work? Say I set it to 0m. Does that mean that units that are not within 0m of one another can redeploy anywhere during the next battle? I am somewhat confused on this, the manual isnt very clear. Thanks
  2. I wouldnt mind seeing a more modern CM. But a lot of us are more interested in WW2. There are a lot of fronts not even covered in CM. Of course you have the already mentioned early war France and the entire Pacific Theatre, not just the small island battles with the USMC, but mainland asia. Also the early war Denmark, and Norway campaigns. The campaign in Greece and Yugoslavia. You could get 2 maybe even 3 more games out of these ideas.
  3. Does anyone know if this issue is being addressed at all? Or has it been forgotten? I am having compatibility problems as well. I had been using very old drivers (45.23)and did not have a single prblem with CMAK. But I purchased Call of Duty and was having some problems so I upgraded my drivers to the newest. Well when I went to play CMAK, my colors were very screwed up. I had teal backgrounds on menu-screens, pink targetting lines, and a host of other errors. And the images didnt look as sharp. So I had to reinstall the old drivers, which let me just say is a pain in the neck when I want to play a non CM game. System specs: Athlon Duron 1.4 256MB DDR Ram Geforce FX5200 Windows 98SE
  4. Hola! First let me say how awesome CMAK is, it is the best in the series IMO. Very immersive, loads and loads of different units, and lots of regions to fight in. Now on to my questions 1. Is there any way to make sure that Wadi's appear in Quick Battle maps? I have played a couple of maps and no wadi's, they add an interesting tactical element to the game, and hopefully they do appear in Quick Battles. 2. Same question, but in regards to Sand Bags. Can they appear in Quick Battles? Any settings to make sure you get them? 3. Are there winter textures for vehicles and uniforms? CMBB was missing that, and that is one of the things I love about CMBO. I could easily "mod" the BMP's i wanted to change and without using CMMOS they would instantly be there. When I played a winter map I would have winter unis, same with fall, etc. As opposed to with CMBB you have to use the CMMOS utility. Thanks
  5. Hey guys, Ok I have some questions I cant seem to find the answers to. So here goes. 1. I have played CMBO and just now got the new CMAK and CMBB bundle. I downloaded and installed tons of mods (.bmp and .wav). for CMBO. I do not like to use the CMMOS utility, it is too time consuming. I spent about 20 hrs or so customizing each uniform, portrait, tile, sound etc. to my preference for CMBO. I would rather have everything just like I want it and not change it than to run a damn program before I can use anything. So for my question. CMBO was extremely easy to find the mods I wanted, but for CMBB every file that I can find is a CMMOS file. I dont want that. I want the actual files without having to rename them all, which I could do with CMMOS, but it was even more time consuming. Where can I find seperate .BMP and .Wav files? Any websites out there? 2. Second question, now that I have all 3 games, when I want to play PBEM games, I dont want to have to switch CD's each time I play. Is there anything I can do, to not have to switch CD's? A CD Crack or something? Thanks in advance.
  6. Hey guys. First let me say, what a great game!! I am a long time wargamer, and have finally gotten around to purchasing CMBO after getting burnt out on Uncommon Valor, Operational Art of War, and many, many other great games. Now to my questions. In the manual that came with the game it mentions "Smoke Dischargers". I have yet to have those on any of my vehicles (as far as I know), I do however have smoke mortars. What vehicles do they come on? How do I use them? Is it automatic? Is it possible, for me to activate it and create a full-fledged smoke screen that follows behind my vehicle and can quickly create a large wall of smoke? I have seen Enemy Shermans, engage my Panzers and after taking a shot back up and immediately a cloud of smoke was in my LOS. How did this happen? And how can I replicate it? Thanks in advance, I'm sure I will have many more questions.
