  1. Dear Ian, Thanks very much. I have created a ticket with the BF helpdesk. Nick
  2. Hi all, I have been trying to create a QB/Scenario using the "rare" Stuart III Recce Vehicle which was part of the Vehicle Pack. When onscreen the top half of the driver's body appears to be poking through the hull. Is this a bug? I notice that the vehicle has 5 crew members which seems at least one too many imho given that the Stuart tank had a crew of four, so maybe that is the problem? Has anyone else experienced this issue? My game is patched to the latest version. Kind regards Nick
  3. Hi, Another dumb question. If I put CMFDR's brz in my data folder and put in Umlaut's snowy vehicles I think I understand that the stock whitewash vehicles will appear now after Jan 1945. If I want to put in say, Fuser's whitewash mods will I need to change each of his [whitewash] tags to [whitewash snow]? Otherwise won't stock whitewash vehicles load in precedence to Fuser's? Thanks for any advice on this. Nick
  4. Dear EZ, How are you distributing your newer mods? Are you using pms? I just tried an email address you gave me a year or two ago but I guess you are not using it anymore. I would appreciate your guidance on how best to proceed as your mods that I have seen are excellent. Cheers
  5. Aris, May I echo Oddball's request? Afaik the Hetzer, Marder II, Mobelwagen (flak), Sdkfz 10/5 (flak), Nashorn and the PSW 233 have not yet been modded. I don't know about the Soviet side of things. Do you have any plans to look at any of these. Thanks for all your work Cheers
  6. Although modding focus has turned east, there are still a number of CMMG vehicles to get the treatment -I think, Marder II, JpzIV/70(V), Mobelwagen, PSW 233, Sdkfz 10/5 and the 37mm a/t gun. Allied kit would be Vickers K jeep, M51 quad mount and 75mm pack howitzer. Apologies if someone (Aris? EZ?) has already done them but it would be nice to finish them off. Cheers
  7. Donation sent. Your site is fantastic, Cheers
  8. Hi Saturnin, I like your mods very much as you do "mottled" so well. Did you intend the top of the SdKfz hull to be so dark? On my rig it comes out almost black - maybe its my video card but its quite a new nvdia one. I like your camo panzershreck too. Cheers
  9. Saferight, these paras look great as they set off for the Market Garden party (not... as it turned out). Thanks a lot, very much appreciated. Cheers
  10. EZ, Yes I am looking for more variety on Commonwealth Para helmets(please). As you say there are two stock bmps, which is I suppose a bonus as BF only provides one bmp for each of the Mk2 and Mk3 helmets.. I have d/l your CW uniform mod - looks very good. Cheers
  11. Thanks Saferight I will have a look. I think your German helmet mods are outstanding btw and really do enrich the gaming enjoyment. Cheers
  12. Hi, This note is addressed primarily to the helmet modders out there - saferight, benpark, jorgemc, ez, rambler and others. Could someone please have a go at providing a bit of variety to the commonwealth para helmets, particularly as the Market Garden module features a lot of para scenarios. So far I 've not seen any. Many thanks in advance. Happy New Year to all.
  13. No problems the zeltbahn mod on my game version (latest). Very good simple mod. Does it work for the SS lads too? Regards to all
  14. I too am looking forward to this mega mod. Looking at that Sherman beta of yours, Fuser, has reminded me to ask whether anyone has ever seen any CW vehicles carrying stowed "gear" - ammo boxes etc etc. There is a specific CW gear bmp (and also one for the Axis lot) but I've never seen it show up in game. AFAIK it only shows up on US vehicles. If this is a coding issue I wonder if BF will deal with it in the MG module. BTW Fuser thanks for modding those CW a/t guns! Cheers
  15. Fuser, Many many thanks for the Sexton. It looked great before it got brewed up by the 88mm I just came across in the final mission of the excellent Scottish Corridor campaign. Regards
  16. Aris/Fuser, You continue to take your vehicle mods to ever higher levels. There remains (I think) just 1 CMBN CW vehicle (the Sexton) and two a/t guns (6 pounder and 17 pounder) which never got modded by you or anyone else. By any chance do you plan to address these if/when you turn to modding the new Allied vehicles which appear in the Arnhem module? Regards
  17. Vein, These look great, especially those wearing the leather jerkin. One thing I noticed is that the shots of helmets (Mark III turtle helmets?) with the chinstrap tucked over the front look a bit odd as the chinstraps are also shown tucked under the soldiers chins. I think the latter are hard coded so there is not much you can do about it. Either way I look forward to the mod when you have finished it. Cheers
  18. Just another enquiry to Rambler about the release time of his weapons skins update...... Cheers
  19. For Aris: good luck with your move and everything. Alot of your Italy mods transfer very well to Normandy such as the German weathered infantry equipment/weapons/ faces and many others. Regarding anti-tank guns did you ever mod the Commonwealth 6 and 17 pounders? You did everything else so did I miss them somewhere? Cheers
  20. Dear Rambler, Looking forward to this mod without doubt! I would tend to agree with Erwin that the bullet/belt ensemble would be looking alot less pristine in the field. Vanir's pic looks as if that Vickers is ready for the Commanding Officer's inspection. Cheers
  21. Dear Durruti Column, Your Mark II helmet + netting mod is as good as the game software allows. Scrim for all helmets is one of my dreams for V3..... I agree completely your comment on the lack of basic variety for CW soldiers as provided by BF, an odd omission given the high quality attention to detail almost everywhere else. However, I still await BF or a modder to put metal butt plates on the Lee Enfields and Brens! Cheers
  22. Having recently upgraded to V2.1 I am in awe of BF over the improvements, dedication and attention to detail. I have an observation about the bmp for CW afv crews (Sextons and Priests)–smod_british_m37_vehicle_uniform. This bmp now (correctly imho) has them wearing battledress as they were gunners not tankers. On a detail point they usually did not wear much webbing so just a waist belt would be more accurate, just like you have done for the US equivalent crews – smod_american_m41_vehicle_uniform. However the Achilles and Wolverine crews were also gunners but they are still wearing tanker coveralls-smod_british_coveralls_uniform. I also notice that armoured car crews (Humbers, Staghounds etc) are still classified as afv crews for bmp purposes but they would have been in a cavalry regiment and thus more likely to be wearing coveralls, although not always. In action – source my father-in law who was a Sexton troop commander at El Alamein and fought in Sicily until wounded – all crews in open topped afvs wore a steel helmet, not a beret, for obvious reasons except possibly the driver who might be closed down. The steel helmet would have been a Mk2, Mk3 (not issued in N Africa/ Italy) or the RAC/para type helmet or in Normandy a combo of all three. In action in Normandy many CW tank and armoured car crews also tended to wear the RAC/para helmet especially the commanders. I know there are many photos of WW2 beret wearing Brit tankers but these were mainly taken out of action when a beret would been worn. If BF does get around to V3.0 or further V2 patches could it look at adding some variety into the CW afv/tanker crews bmps - both uniforms and head gear? You have done this for US and German crews, so why not the CW lot? Wandering slightly off-topic (apologies) could the next patch/upgrade “enable” the CW and German afv gear bmps – boxes, sandbags etc. Other posters have pointed out that they only seem to appear on US vehicles – same experience for me. None of the above are vital to the enjoyment of the game and no doubt some of the modders out there could make some of the above happen if they were interested. Cheers
  23. Dear Normannobot, I don't think your request is pointless or stupid. All pre V2 uniform mods now no longer work because of the file renaming etc. A few have been redone and I hope more modders, Veins included, will get around to updating their particular ones in due course. I guess that will depend somewhat on when/if they switch to v2.0/v2.1 themselves. Cheers
