I really applaud to this wonderful effort and tool. I always got an allergic reaction seeing flat maps with no terrain undulations in CM in the past. This tool certainly helps to make the game more realistic.

I don't see any mention of a planned release in 2023 in the original post.
2nd last sentence.
"As noted by Steve, we are well on our way and are planning for a release this year - content and full scope remains TBA."

Is there an ETA for an update as to when we can expect a reporting on the current standing and expected future potentially possible release date of BAOR?
Since the original plan for BAOR release was 2023, I guess that means somewhen this year (2024).

If they release BAOR this year, all else what comes next is secondary to me. If they plan on another WW2 module, eastfront 1943 would seem to be the most logical step, followed by 1943 Tunisia. Big question still is when they update all CM2 releases to engine 5 upgrade. We will learn before the year is over.

It required something like 7-8 releases to cover 1 year on the western front...I hardly belive that one release/ year will be sufficient to handle the eastern front.
Well the market is shrinking for them with this 10 year old engine. Their call.

They could in theory still sell 3 Eastfront Modules. 1943 Kursk, 1942 Fall Blau/Stalingrad and 1941 Barbarossa/Typhoon.
And yes. Tunisia 1943, El Alamein 1942, Tobruk 1941 would also be possible.
Lets see what happens.

Professional humor there, well done
I know some folks would say that by 1985 & 1989 the NATO side would be overpowered relative to warsaw pact. What is wrong with that? Recent events make me very much want to kick the living daylights out of some RU forces.
Can second that. Maybe we will get to that point in the next module. But the more important point IMHO is to get East- and West-German troops combined with Belgian and Dutch troops into the game.

A look at the topo (date 1924) tells us there are 50metres height difference going from east (32metres) along the hills (84m, 83m and 69m) to the west. Maybe someone misread the topo or had no topo at all back then?

Now that CM:FB Downfall is confirmed, Operation Veritable and Blockbuster would also be of interest:

... 1943/44 Eastern Front would be easier to do and more popular (which also means more sales), for example.
Steve
So that's pretty much Kursk to the Dnieper 1943 - 1944 confirmed...

Did none of the Allied amphibious vehicles (DUKW, LVT etc) make it in? Could have sworn we got renders but I don't see them in the TOE page.
Lots of them were used in the Rhineland during the Rhine crossings . Would be a big failure if they were omitted.

CMCW - BAOR Module
We're well underway with this one. Now that our artists are freed up from Downfall and other work you can expect some juicy Cold War bones very soon. With that will come a more detailed laying out of what you can count on in the final product. I'll also make sure the guys behind it are the ones to answer your questions as "that's not my department"
And finally...
CMFB - Downfall is Released!
If you didn't pick up on it in the above, as of right now we have just opened preorders for the much anticipated Module for CMFB - "Downfall". This is a massive Module that brings CMFB right through to the end of the war, including adding Commonwealth forces and the plethora of the Third Reich's last gasp formations and equipment. Some of which you've seen fighting on the Eastern Front, some unique to Downfall.
I'm not going to post any images or details of Downfall because all of that is available by heading over to the CMFB section of our website.

The EXACT release date is up to Slitherine, but we're on track for an end of month release. And yes, you cheeky little buggers, I do mean this month
Excellent news! I am a happy camper now! Thanks for the update!

But the Eastern Front from June 44 to May 45 and the Western Front from September/October 44 to May 45 are available to choose from (hoping for the release of a new CMFB module in 2024
Eastern Front is just fine. Everything which fits CM:RT timeline will do for me. Appreciate your work!

Thanks for the update. Most interesting for me. I can live without all the rest. Especially CMFB would make ETO complete (Overloon 10/44, Paderborn 04/45, Comets and Pershings?) and CMCW might give us Leopard 1 and 2 and BAOR Chieftain and Challenger 1s (?) to play. Great news overall. Please focus on CMFB and CMCW.
To quote myself from a year ago. That is the only stuff I'm interested in and my only question is: WHEN?

Peter Caddick-Adams thoughts on Ukraine war so far. Well worth reading IMHO.
Just as in June 1944, the most we will be permitted to know of an attack is that President Zelensky has launched a counter-offensive. Whether it is the counter-offensive, we will only find out afterwards. Meanwhile, his army must “Keep Calm and Carry On”.

Several Russian telegrammers mention that Ukraine is trying hard to push in the Rabotino/Tokmak direction today.
Here is WarGonzo's:
https://t.me/wargonzo/14409Mashovets writes that the Russians are deploying more regiments to this sector to shore up its defenses but doing so will likely make other sectors of the defensive line more vulnerable.
That´s good news. Because that move will demilitarize even more Orcs.

Stupid question, but which Urozhaine are we talking about? Near tokmak?
Not Tokmak/Melitopol direction, but Mariupol direction. East of the Mokri Yali River, south of Welika Novosilka and direct east to Staromajorske, north of Staromlynivka.
