  1. Thanks, Diesel. I did as you instructed, changing the executable to my existing one, but it's still not registering on the installed program screen. My woes continue.
  2. Gentlemen(and ladies?), I found this thread during a search and thought that this might be the place to post my question: How do I get PBEM Helper to recognize a particular CM game? It's already detected CMAK, but I'm having trouble with CMBB. I followed the instructions listed in the above linked tutorial under "Tell PBEM Helper about your CM executables", but the problem remains. Suggestions? 3. Andreas, I posted some comments on "Inherit the Black Earth" at the Proving Grounds. Your lack of response wounds me. *sob*
  4. My bias-o-meter(or is it BS-o-meter?) is ringing loudly. Try checking more than one site as a reference.
  5. Hello, Hans. I managed to find the scenarios linked below. I can't vouch for their quality as I haven't played them. Escape From Klin An Unexpected Obstacle [ October 25, 2006, 08:04 AM: Message edited by: Shmavis ]
  6. Calm yourself, please, or you may be surprised to find yourself banned. Consider it a friendly warning.
  7. I christen this thread the "Zombie Thread", for it will not die, and the conversation has already drifted to inter-human biting. Resident Evil, anyone?
  8. Uhm... now wasn't that a stupid thing to post? Now you've got me to connect a few dots. If you are who I think you are, and I am quite sure I'm right, you are still banned. So I've banned you again. For you old hands... you might remember a certain Australian who had another (in)famous SS commander's name as a Forum handle. After a string of abusive postings he finally got himself banned when he posted some rather, uhm, distasteful pictures from the Hollocaust. It's gone down as one of the worst, most offensive posts of all times. I'd rather not give him the chance to top his past acheivement. Steve </font>
  9. LOL! You know, Michael, I noticed that member name and thought the same thing. We can expect more and more of these.
  10. Hello, Hofbauer. We talked about the course that the ToW forum would take, didn't we? You must be busy.
  11. That's not fair. These types of remarks are made by people from all over the US, not just southerners. </font>

  13. Support units like this will shift their command lines to another leader unit(if within command radius, which depends on HQ experience and command bonuses) if their attached leader is too far away. What's the experience level of HQ unit? Does it have any command bonuses?
  14. I doubt instant death as well. I saw a video on the History Channel of some Commonwealth forces(a New Zealander squad, I think) accompanied by a combat cameraman that encountered what they thought was an enemy position in a small cave off to their side. A flamethrower was brought forward and the hole was bathed in flame. A lone Japanese soldier staggered out of the flame, crumpled to the ground, and just sat there, burning and staring at the camera.
  15. "Paper", indeed. I had to buy my copy. I think that's pirated material.
  16. Holy god! The Good Humor van was the best part!
  17. Hello, Stoffel! I have to say that there are more than a couple of people who remember the German occupation of Crete and are still not happy about it. I'm surprised that monument lasted as long as it did. This may be a complete fabrication, but I had an instructor who was stationed at Crete for a few years, and he told me the story of a German veteran. This guy returned to Crete decades after being stationed there during the war, occupation duties and such. As he was walking along a rural road, he encountered a sheep farmer. The farmer noticed that he wasn't a local resident and asked the usual questions. When the veteran explained the farmer excused himself for a few minutes, returned and shot the veteran. This may be a rumor turned legend, but all of the Greeks that I've met were not people with whom I would trifle.
  18. Man, this forum needs a sticky thread about a certain cranky individual. Kind of like "Keep your hands and feet away from his mouth." You didn't get positive marks on your report cards for "playing well with others", did you?
