Does the game move at a pretty slow pace for people who dont really like RTS games? I mean in that sense is it really more tactical but can be paused to issue orders?

One of the things I can never make out on the main page for this game under Features is if its a freaking RTS game or a turn based game? That page is terrible at describing the game and how it plays exactly Is there a random battle generator? Can you skirmish? Are there mods?

My friend and I want to play PBEM and were thinking of using that mod 1939 BLitzkrieg is that the best one to simulate actualy conditions at the beginning of the war? as far as naval and such?

What is the best way to keep Bombers from bombing harbors and such? Can you build AA sites in this game or do you have to keep a fighter unit near the harbor?

Can you load PBEM from a person using different mods than you? Also if the other person is not patched will that cause the PBEM to no load and crash the game? thanks
