  1. There you go, i found this before and after map in Wikipedia. Golan Heights
  2. It's all nice and good, but it think that with the current circumstance any US involovement in syria will cause Israel to join. Now, the big qustion is where will the US forces will enter Syria from, Iraq? Turkey? or from the sea. In this case Syria will handle 2 front, which with the currnet quality of the Syrian army is not good news for them. You also have to remember that the Syrian army is under traind, maybe even less traind the Hizballah. Oren_m
  3. Especially in Lebanon, i suppose that you are familiar with the main export of the Baqqa valley in the east of Lebanon. Up until recently Hashish was Lebanon's main exporting. Druing Israel's occupation of S. Lebenon which ended in 2000, most of the Hashish found it's way into Israel, you could say that Israel had much to do with the wellfare of the Baqqa valley farmers. 4. Wow, i really did'nt noticed it! So i guess that they are not only terrorists but also stoneheads! Making war with this stuff would funny... Oren_m
  5. I see it more like this: Hizballah provokes Israel for 6 years since Israel left S. Lebanon in May 2000, Hizballah kiddnaping 2 Israeli soldiers and kills 8, Israel as a respones say: "We are now going to kick your ass so next time you'll remember what the IDF can do that you have forgot during the last 6 years". Oren_m
  6. From Wikipedia: So, by this definition Hizballah is a terror organization and it's "militants" are terrorists. They shoot rockets into civilian centres, kiddnaping people for political gain and use fear as a means to get their goals. Oren_m
  7. Thanks John, I am not in the reserves lists right now, but if the war will go wider, i might be called in to service. About the fire extinguishers, you are right they are some kind of Halon gas, but you really dont want to breath it more than 10 seconeds, longer exposure could lead to lung edema. Oren_m
  8. Here are some pictures of the demaged Merkava Mk.4, as you can see there was no penatration and the demage is not serious. Oren_m
  9. The crew was lightly injured and came back to the fighting a few hours later. They had to bail out because of the fire extiguising system went off due to the impact of the AT missile, but, by looking at the impact i think it was some recoiless gun firing. Oren_m
  10. Maybe the new CM game should have some sort of a "chaos" engine that will produce the surprises that a real combat should produce. Let's say that your company get hit by chemical warfare, and while they run away you call for air support and guess what happens? friendly fire! and each time you'll try to re-do the combat the results will be different, even the weapones the enemy uses against you will change. 11. It seems you are quite an expert. You are back from Bint Jbeil I presume. Khane </font>
  12. I know many people in the IDF who some of them are in lebanon, including my brother who's an infantry soldier, so when i say first hand, i really mean it. Khane, you're doing here a hell of a job, great going! Oren_m
  13. Well, i know from first hand that the Mk.4 Merkavas were'nt destory, they were'nt even penetrated, the injuries were inflicted by the blast of the rocket hitting. The Merkavas are still operational, only with new crews. Oren_m
  14. Yes, the oil an this. But think the Israeli-Arab wars are so classic for strategy games, such a shame...
  15. Four days ago the villege of Maroun Al-Ras has fell into a combined force of special forces mounted on APC's, tanks and heavy air support, what i'm saying? It's exactly CM:SF scenario, a special combined force is taking control over a hostile villege. So what do you say, could the whole game now turn into an IDF game in Lebanon or Syria? could it happen? Oren_m
  16. You're an idiot! have a nice day. Oren_m
  17. Now i'm really excited! Thanks steve, but i like my place in the tank. Oren_m
  18. Well, i was'nt called in...yet. But thanks anyway. Oren_m
  19. Now is a very good time to remember this post of mine! Oren_m
  20. I think Cancer is way more fun! It's much more challenging and you have many kinds to choose from (Several options). Oren_m.
  21. Great, now back to Iran, maybe just an air strike would'nt happen, but what about SF operation? The US army has lots of them stationed in Iraq, Saudi arabia an the Emirates, ofcours it would be very simple to insert them to the Iranian borders, but it could be very usful. I think it could be done just like the SF did it in Afganistan, they could call in air strikes and attack the facilities from the ground using explosives. Oren_m
