  1. I extracted the file as stated above and still no ambient sounds. Tanks are still silently knocking down trees in Kursk and Caen. Since the hotfix does not fix the ambient sound problem, will this be fixed in an upcoming formal patch for Kursk and Caen?
  2. Hi Tartari, Thanks for responding. My TOW install is not modded. I only installed the TOW Uber patch from Battlefront over a vanilla install. Is there an easy way for me to isolate and identify the offending sound file that is looping and simply delete it from your sound mod folder? Would your sound mod still run if I did that? Great news about your mod for Kursk, I plan on buying that soon. When it is ready I can't wait to hear your new sound mod for TOW. Ruzbasan
  3. Tartari, I downloaded your TT_Sound Mod 1.499 from the Repository and it is fantastic! I read all all the posts in this thread and it appears that you have several sound mods for TOW. Do you have another sound mod that changes the tank gun sounds in TOW? Do you have other sound mods available for TOW, and if so where can I download them? Also, the sound mod above runs great in TOW except for one problem. One particular machine gun sound gets caught in a loop causing the game to stutter for a second. I am not sure exactly which sound in the mod this, but it is some sort of machine gun. Do you know which sound this is? Is there an easy fix for this problem? Do I just delete the offending sound from the sound mod folders? Thanks for your hardwork! Gary
  4. I spoke too soon. I got a lockup when as I was looking at the vehicles in the encyclopedia/museum. But this occurred after I had already looked at almost all the objects. I am working threw the tutorials and the game still seems stable.
  5. It worked!! I burned the "Setup_1b.bin" onto a CD on my work PC and copied it into the folder on my desktop with the other files from the install DVD. Ran setup and the game installed perfectly. I installed the latest patch and voila! The game runs prefectly!
  6. I will try to copy the troublesome "Setup_1b.bin" file from the DVD to a blank cd on my PC at work. My work PC does not have the hardware requirements to try a full install of the game. Only my home "gaming PC" has the hardware for an install. If I can get that one troublesome file to copy to a cd I will then attempt an install from my desktop folder.
  7. I just got the DVD version of TOW and the game will not install on my PC running XP Professional SP2. The game installs a little less then halfway then freezes while installing the maps.sps file. It hard locks my PC and I have to reboot. I have cleaned the DVD and tried numerous times to install but my PC keeps locking up during the maps.sps file install. Once an error message came up stating the maps file was corrupt. I also tried to install TOW by coping all the contents of the DVD to a folder on my desktop to run setup from there. But the my PC refuses to copy the "setup_1b.bin" file with the error meesage that the file is corrupt. Is there a fix for installing from the DVD? Or do I have a damaged or corrupted DVD?
  8. Astrocat, I have downloaded about 99% of my CMBB mods from your site. So I used whatever you had for those mods. (I have been modding CMBB for the last three months and can't remember which mods I used exactly, but they were from your site) Everyday I check you site. It's the best mod site for any game I have ever seen. We all appreciate your great work! Ruzbasan
  9. I've downloaded and modded just about vehicle in CMBB. I need just a few more mods to complete the game. I checked CMMODS and many other sites but have not found any mods for the following vehicles: CMBB Winter mods needed for: SPW 250-11 Pz IVG (Late) Pz IVG Sturmpanzer IV Brumbar (Late) BT-5A BT-2 Churchill III CMBB Summer mods needed for: Ostwind Wirblewind 88mm Flak gun Thanks for any links to sites that have the above mods. Ruzbasan (Unrepentant mod slut)
  10. I have installed several damaged building mods but I never see damaged buildings in the scenarios. The building mod files have different bmps for damaged and undamaged for each type of building. Since the bmps have differnet numbers for damaged and undamaged I installed all the bmps. Should I delete the bmps for undamaged buildings to get the damaged ones to show in the game? Thanks for any help. Happy Holidays! Ruzbasan
  11. Does anyone have a link to a list of the BMP numbers for each summer and winter vehicle in CMBB? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Ruzbasan
  12. Astrocat, Thanks! I just tried it and it works! Those are some great looking mods! I know this is asking a lot, but do you have a link to a list of all the CMBB vehicles and their BMP numbers for the final version of the game? This would help a lot as I mod the game. Thanks!! Ruzbasan
  13. Ok, I did some more testing running a test mission I made for Dec.43 with snow. I also checked the bmps in the zips and verified that they are ok. I unzipped the files and copied them to the bmp folder, overwriting the files there. The Canon Winter PzIVDgrey, PzIVC early, PzIVF grey worked perfectly. Awesome mods! But the following four Canon mods are not working: Canon Winter StugIIIG early Canon Whitewashed StuIIIG early grey Canon Winter Marder II Canon Winter StuIIIF grey (early and late) There is no change to the vehicles at all when these mods are applied. The base models are still showing up. I will send you more info as I test out the remaining Canon winter mods hopefully tonight. I'll keep you posted. Ruzbasan
  14. Astrocat, I failed to mention I am running CMBB Special Edition final version (1.03) with the latest version of CMMOS. However, I am manually applying most mods without using CMMOS. To be more specific, the winter mods by Canon that are not applying correctly are the German winter mods. Canon's Soviet Mods are working fine. Could it be that the Winter German Canon mods have incorrect BMP numbers from an earlier version of CMBB, causing them to not apply? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Ruzbasan
  15. Astrocat Many of Canon's winter mods for CMBB that you have uploaded over the last few days at CM Database are not working. I have made several sample missions to test new mods. Most of Canon's Winter mods are not showing up when they are installed. I verified that I am looking at the right vehicle or tank model at the right year and season, but for some strange reason most of Canon's mods are not applying. For example, if you apply Canon's StugIIIF early and late winter mod, no changes appear on the correct vehicles. Are these files possibly corrupted from the old crash? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Ruzbasan
