  1. Mac version! You've got to be kidding me! Fantastic news.
  2. Nah don't be like that. Maybe I'm still too wide-eyed having only just noticed CMC but I'm content to wait for this game to come out (just so long as it doesn't take another 3 years!). I've always been impressed with Battlefront, they won't let us down.
  3. Hahah anyone else read the 'Here is your news roundup for November! Lotsa BIG news this month!' and for a few seconds think hurray its coming out!!!? Then scroll all the way to the bottom and see no. Haha, far too eager for this! My sympathies to those who seem to have been waiting for three years.
  4. I've only just noticed Campaigns and I have to say, having just read the AAR too, that it looks absolutely awesome! Was a big fan of CMBB but got a new Mac so my Apple only version couldn't be used but campaigns will definitely make me buy it again! What I've been looking for for years. Its a shame it seems to be taking a long time, it seems as with many others if it were available I'd buy it tomorrow. Are there any other AARs available/planned?
  5. Good idea. People have their problems with Battlefront.com but I think it is an excellent company. The willingness to attempt improvement is a very commendable attribute. Well done.
  6. Okay thanks for the quick reply. Just to clarify though I bought the mail only version that will still need updating?
  7. Having bought TOW in the last few days I was just wondering if the version I bought (from battlefront.com) will already be the latest version with the new 'uber' patch or will I have to download that beast once it arrives?
  8. I was just wondering if anyone with experience (or knowledge) of running TOW on a Mac via the BootCamp route could tell how well the game runs? I have one of the earlier Duo i-Macs and the demo appears to run fine but before purchasing I just thought I'd ask.
  9. Dear Battlefront please please please create an OSX version of this game. One of the things I have been so happy about Battlefront before is their dual compatability policy it was a total breath of fresh air to have this kind of amazing game available on the Mac. I know it can be run on bootcamp and this I have done but still don't we loyal Mac customer faithful deserve a native Mac compatible version? Don't give in to the PC dominated market please tell me and other Apples that there is some light at the end of the tunnel. CM was just about the best game I ever played, and now that I can no longer run it on my Intel based Mac I miss it so much. Please Battlefront help the underdog and preserve your previous loyalty to the Mac gaming market. Thankyou Locks
  10. My bad wrong forum, shouldn't have bought a mac or drunk that many beers........

  12. Hi Jason Just a quick note, How the hell do you know all this?!!? You seem to speak with such authority and seeming sense I don't doubt a word, you should be congratulated on your incredible depth of knowledge on the subject! (haha, just reread not intended to sound quite so brown nosing!)
  13. Hello I am reading but have never heard of this happening before, don't want to sound patronising but are you sure you picked the right men you intended to? I only ask as I have, in the past, thought I had swapped from one nationality to another and then not and so ended up with the wrong soldiers. Cheers T
  14. MickeyD You're right, it would be a lot simpler to buy a PC but man, a PC  !! Can't really afford to get a good Mac that would run CM and don't have the space for an iMac/eMac. Looks like its going to have to be a good old blue and white or bit better G3 maybe early G4 tower they're not too expensive. Really can't wait for the next CM and miss the old. . .
  15. hahaha good point well made I've not got loads of money so was looking into a G3 of some sort, what do you use, will this be sufficient do you think? Not a computer expert as I'm sure is obvious, was running BO/BB on a G3 PISMO powerbook and it worked ok
  16. Hello As mentioned in a previous thread I am currently completely CMless running OSX 10.4.5 and was wondering about the future of CM. I did I quick search on the forum and couldn't really find anything definate on when a Combat Mission that would run on my machine would be out. I'm aware that BF are fairly busy with their various games at the moment so I want a bit of advice really. Would you recommend I get a cheap Mac (sorry PC lovers have and always be a MacMan) and get the supposedly brilliant CMAK or hold on for a bit (or maybe a lot) longer for the whole new product? Was a very keen CMBO and BB player but was robbed of both when my computer bust and got a new one. Thanks in advance for your comment
  17. Hey guys aside from the argument over weight of shells and that cheers veery much for the help the seminar went pretty well, the info I got from your links were very helpful in answering the questions so thanks again. On the name issue though, I had always heard and read that the reason the guns were called as they were 6, 17, 25 pdr was because of the weight of the shell, but it is not beyond the realms of possibility that the 6lb shell fired from the 6 pdr gun cost £6, is it? Sadly I upgraded to a OSX only machine last year so am dearly missing Combat Mission so haven't been on the forums much recently, is there any hope for us OSXers? I really would like to play it again and try out CMAK for the first time it sounds unbelievable. If it is anything like CMBO and BB it will be like nothing else. Heres hoping for a CMOSX Locksley
