  1. Does this mean a terrain tile is now 1 square metre as opposed to 8m?
  2. Ah, you mean Combat Mission: Alizée Korps... .....and what a Korps it would be...
  3. Don't you mean Combat Mission: Beyoncé Overlord ?
  4. It was included in one of the patches so if you install the latest patch you should find it.
  5. No apologies needed mate. Just do what feels right.Looking forward to your masterpiece.
  6. Here you go: http://homepage.mac.com/gibsonm1/CMSF/FileSharing24.html
  7. 1-1. Bloody hell, what a result. Awesome defence, We could have even won it. We've been lucky though, both Italy and slovakia have been pretty ordinary.
  8. Well done mate. What a stunning map.Looking forward to trying it out.
  9. I thought so . I've heard that story but don't know if it's true or not. Maj. Gen. Thomas wrote a book called Pathway to Adventure it might be in there if you can find a copy.
  10. sorry, are you asking to confirm if I met him or something else?
  11. I had the distinct pleasure of meeting Sandy Thomas on Anzac Day this year.A mate of mine is a cousin of his and introduced me.He's had an incredible life.
  12. You gotta be kidding, Disney's version pwns all other versions....
  13. Did you try saving the new map, closing and then re-opening?
  14. I've tried it but don't really use it that much.I play pretty much exclusively with the mouse only as it frees up my other hand to hold a beer or do an Al Bundy.
  15. First off, my sense of perspective is just fine, thank you. CM is a series of games is it not? So don't you expect everything to improve each game? I accept that we have a new engine and there would be bugs to iron out, but when the new game is missing a lot of the little details that gave Combat Mission it's flavour then, yes, it is a design failure. If CMSF had been called something other than CM then, perhaps, we may have been more forgiving. Secondly, I responded to both comments in the manner in which they were given.
  16. Yes, but when you put the name "Combat Mission" in the title you expect the new game to build on the old (and I mean features here, not code base) and not have parts of the old game that were great, not there. That said, I really hope CMN will be the "true" CM sequel we've been waiting for. I think the new camera controls are great too but the rest of the UI leaves me cold. You can't help but not stop comparing the two when they both have "Combat Mission" in the title.. Life...get one.
  17. It is if the new game is still called Combat Mission..
  18. Well, we've just come back from 5 days of residing at the NICU,(thats Neo-natal Intensive Care Unit for you acronym bunnies), bub's tummy was getting larger for no apparent reason so they re-admitted her and put her on IV fluids. Missus and I stayed in one of the rooms that they have there for parents so we could be close. It wasn't too bad, they have a kitchen, tv room and the like, but our room had no window so it could feel pretty repressive at times. No internet but I borrowed my nephew's laptop and loaded a couple of games on it and mostly played Armada 2526 to keep me sane. Great game BTW. We were lucky that we had the missus' keycard to get in and out of the hospital, so if i wanted to go outside for some fresh air in the wee small hours I didn't have to worry about going through the security exit.Which is on the other side of the hospital. They still haven't a damn clue why she blew up like that and it seems to be happening again but we're hoping we don't have to back for another stay. If we do I'm making sure we get a room with a bloody window, I'll go nuts otherwise. It's 0230 in the morning, bubs still hasn't settled, she's due for a feed at 4 but I fed her about 30 mins ago as she was giving me the hungry signs and I was hoping it might get her sleepy enough but, alas,no joy. The missus is in bed and I'll join her after 4 then she takes over for the 8 o'clock feed.I'm bloody knackered and I'm really glad I'm not back at work yet, but all I have to do is look down at my tiny daughter to make me smile and to just get on with it.
  19. Looks like the family is coming home tomorrow. With bubs being premature, she doesn't cry much so we're going to have a reasonably easy first month but once she hits full term we'll probably be in for it,lol.
  20. Well, my daughter is out of NICU (intensive care) and in the ward with the missus, so everything is going great. I'm looking forward to not having to commute to the hospital every day after work.Luckily Wellington is a pretty compact city so it's not too far.Traffic can be a pain though. We're also lucky that that my missus is a nurse there so I can use staff parking and she get's a little bit of preferential treatment by getting her own room. She can also use her swipe card to come and go as she pleases. Hehe, I used to be a farm shepherd and I've been a fishmonger.Poo's fine, the only smell that gets to me these days is vomit. Thanks mate, I've been told that by a few people, so it must be good advice.
  21. Luck for me I have strong willpower, otherwise I'd be doomed.
  22. Changed my first nappy last night,it's still all meconium so at least it doesn't smell. It's a bugger to get off though, it took me so long to wipe it off her that another bubble of the stuff popped out as was almost finished. And she peed, lol. LOL, there's other websites for that, I think they even throw screen wipes for free with your subscription.. Hehe, BTW, the missus thinks what you wrote was cute.
  23. LOL, I might be in luck though, she want's another one as quick as possible... That wouldn't work for me, I'm a crap liar and the missus said she would cut my old fella off. Which would kind of defeat the purpose but I'm not arguing with her, I'd be wrong anyway.. Here's a pic of some ugly mug with a beautiful little girl..
