Would you have played this game much differently in CMBO, given similar force dispositions? Any thoughts there for those of us just cutting our teath on (and enjoying) CMBO:SE, without the trenches, covered arcs, and MG effectiveness of CMBB?

Did a quick search of the forum and couldn't find a reference, though I think I've seen one before. In CMBO, doesn't artillery called in by a FO primarily fall in a north-south or east-west pattern? If so, does it vary by map, etc.? Thanks for any help.

If I follow you correctly, my understanding is that a vertical bar on the helmet indicated an officer (I had always assumed that it meant Lt., but now gather that it was Capt. etc. as well) and a horizontal bar on the helmet indicated a non-commisioned officer (e.g., seargant). Peter

Hi- I am relatively new to CMBO, having only recently discovered it. I played the demo a lot while waiting for the retail version to come out--got that this week. My question is, can someone provide some quick recommendations/explanations for the graphics and sound mods? I understand that the Special Edition retail version has some already included, but are there others that are really good? Also, do the mods add to or replace the current graphics/sounds? What if I want to play Utah/Omaha Beach? Would a mod for that replace the standard or default settings and require me to install one or the other before playing? Any advice/tips are appreciated. Thanks in advance!
