  1. Thats an excelent idea. I love it. I was stationed with 2nd ID in South Korea, and would really enjoy playing that. Plus, it is a plausible modern day conflict, that is set somewhere besides Middle East (tired of sand)

Nato forces could be present, including Brits, Germans, Italians, Canadians, Australians, etc

The Russians could be on the North Korean side, plus Chinese.

    Awesome!!

  2. I guess my mailbox is kind of small, and the mailguy always stuffs it, folding and smashing everything. Just send them the way it is, Ill go complain at the post office.

Cant wait to play the demo

  3. I would like to see 2 missions. One set in open area, and another in urban enviroment. I want to see combat engineers blow holes in building's walls, fluid infantry movements, light posts, junk littering the streets, civilians cought in crossfire.

Id like to see new camera movement system- using mouse wheel to zoom in- out.

I want to see a revamped tile/mission editor. Being able to make my own tiles. Drop-in style editor, more intuitive to use, more flexible

Hopefully it is 6 months away, not 9 ;)

I am being deployed overseas, so hopefully it will be ready when I come back in 1 year

    Steve

The only gripe I have with your system- bad packaging. Each Combat Mission I recieved came with the CD stuck inside the manual, and it was crammed and bent by the mailman in my mailbox. I had to manually flatten each CD.

I wish you send out games in a box.

  5. Thats great to hear. What about having different shoulder patches according to the unit in the mission? Also, will the infantry use mirror textures for both arms/legs? Id like to be able to place combat patches, drop-leg platforms and such in more realistic fashion( not having the same texture on both sides)

Also will the trenches (if used) be 3-D? Will the urban combat be improved? Id like to see better entering/exiting of buildings, stairs, etc

Lights on vehicles? Civilian population? Civilian vehicles? Can the new engine handle that?

  6. I am hoping that NCO's and ranks will be better implemented. They actually lead the soldiers to battle, not officers.

Also Id like to be able to swap shoulder patches with ease, depending on mission.

Also maybe have more random infantry textures, not all generic.Kind of like having different faces. BTW, can we have different races presented- asians, black depending on scenario

  7. Here are my thoughts about the timing of the demo release and the game.

    1. Normally the demo contains most of what the game is about, not just "beta" version. Example- Battlefield 2 demo. Its had everything the game has, except Chinese side.

    2. For example, Ive been waiting for Battlefield 2 to come out for years. I participated in forums, join a clan prior to game release. I feel like when developers release the demo prior to game release, they care about their customers. First, they give us a chance to play the demo prior to game release. If I like the demo, Ill ether pre-order the game, or be waiting in line 1-2 hours at the store to pick it up.

I have e-mailed the DICE (game developers) and told them about an inaccuracy of in-game M1A2 Abrams tank. They listened to me, and changed it. I respect that.

    3. If demo is released weeks, or months after the game, I guess I feel impatient since the game that Ive been waiting for years is out, and I can not play it. I guess I feel like I deserve having the demo- since I own about 300 games. I do not buy games without a demo. I am not rich enough to drop 50-60$ for a game, and not being able to return it.

BTW, I have nothing against Battlefield. You are my favorite game developers.

Yeah, having a demo after the game release is not good. Most likely will not be buying this game

    Wow... <shakes head>... </font>
  9. I can use different style grenade pouches, more subdued. All the textures you see are taken from real photos. And I did mention in my first post, that the sides are not finished yet.

I am planning on using the Italians as the Iraqi Insurgents. I think that will be the best option

  10. Here is a mod Ive been working on for awhile.BTW, the sides are not finished yet. I am still working on the Iraqi Insurgents.

Up close. I tried following Juju's advice, but can not find a way to get rid of those lines above the rifle.

Thanks to the Battlefront team for a great moddable game. Keep up the great work. I hope to see this in Combat Mission 2

  11. I am working on a modern mod for 1st Infantry Division US Army so I can recreate battles fought during Operation Iraqi Freedom. This is a screenshot of my work in progress. What do you all think?

BTW, I am having problems with a line appearing above the barrel of the M-16. Does anyone know how to fix it and why it happens?
