  1. H2HH turned into CMH some time back ... they're the same thing, only CMH is more recent. If you're happy with the H2HH that you have, then you don't have to change, but if you even need support you'll need to update first - I can't support H2HH any more. Also CMH has some things that H2HH doesn't. Most noticeable is that all games are on a single pane, instead of spread between separate panes per game type. Also, CMH tells you what versions/patches you have installed of the various games. GaJ
  2. Hi All, CMH 1.5.0 is at http://bit.ly/cm-helper The main motivation for this release is to eliminate the occasional case where if Windows crashes with CMH open this would cause CMH to have errors starting up next time (it's "App State" would get corrupted). 1.5.0 tries even harder than before to avoid this. In addition, 1.5.0 now keeps the "notes" about games (game->right click->Notes) separately - in text files that you can find yourself if you need to, and that CMH will never delete. So if something does go wrong, at least these are not lost. There are a couple of other minor bugfixes as well. GaJ
  3. Hi All, One of the more recent versions of CMH introduced a bug which cases the error message: "TypeError: SetNewDirs() takes exactly 3 arguments (4 given)" CMH 1.4.3 should fix this. GaJ
  4. From time to time I get forced to do "maintenance". It's usually because the hosting service is end-of-life-ing some techology or other that I've used - as was the case in this instance, at least a year ago now. Leading up to that time I had noticed that CMSFMods was not getting used - in particular, many CMSF Mods were getting posted at the BFC Repostitory and not at CMSF Mods. So when the time came to upgrade each site in turn (CMMODS, TOWHouse, Guitar Lesson Guide, CMSF Mods) I decided it wasn't worth the effort to keep CMSF Mods going. This assessment was vindicated by the complete lack anyone noticing that CMSF Mods went away. GaJ
  5. All the mods that were uploaded to my CMSFMods site are still there in my Amazon account. It would be a non-trivial exercise to turn back on access to them though. GaJ
  6. We definitely need a good place where scenarios can be stored, found, reviewed etc. I'm working on revamping CMMODs to properly support scenarios, and this sort of stuff. It's a background project, though, so it's taking some time... GaH

  8. 1.4.2 has the wonderful feature of fetching the details of CM releases from the web, so I can update those for it without re-releasing CMH GaJ
  9. CMH 1.4.2 should correctly detect whether you have CMBN 3.10 and/or the Vehicle Pack installed. If you have these installed, and it's not detecting that, can you let me know. Thanks, GaJ
  10. CMMODS no longer suppots CMSF. The CMSF modders weren't supporting CMMODS, so I couldn't be arsed supporting CMSF. I should take that link off the page, I guess. GaJ
  11. I reckon someone would have told me it was out more quickly in that case (It's worth noting that I visit CMMODS very rarely myself these days, so if there's an issue y'all better let me know) I'm just glad it was "easy fix", phew! I dread the day when a difficult one hits! Cheers, GaJ
  12. Yep - all fixed - the hosting provider made some changes that I wasn't quite on top of, but I seem to have caught up now GaJ
  13. There is an upper limit, but it was set somewhat arbitrarily - I can't remember what it was When it's back up, I can take a look... ... I think that I found the problem, some DNS thing. We have to wait 5-10 minutes for "stuff to propagate" to see if it fixes it. GaJ
  14. Hi All, CMMODS went down over night - I don't know the reason why yet. The hosting provider (heroku.com) made some changes on Monday: my other sites are still up, and CMMODS supposedly passed the "readiness" test, but this might be the reason. Or it might be something else. It might be the weekend before I can give it proper attention - thanks for your patience. GaJ

  16. Yeah - that's because it was kind of confusing that it's V2.20 of CMBN that has the 3.0 engine, so I tried to make it clear. Wheras with RT there's only one version and one engine and that's it (Plus, TTYTT, I haven't actually thought about "what engine is in RT!?") GaJ
  17. Hi All, There's a new version of CMH available, in the usual place: http://bit.ly/cm-helper In terms of managing your H2H games, this has a couple of "niceness tweaks" and a couple of bug fixes. The main change is in it's ability to tell you what versions of which CM game types you have installed. This version reads an up-to-date catalog of that information from the cloud, so that as new releases come from BFC, it tells what you have and if you are up to date. Right now this is not really a big deal, but as more "modules" and "packs" come along, and these start depending on each other, this is likely to get more important (for example, you can't have the "Symbiotic Shrimp Pack" unless you have V2.1 or greater of the "Estuaries and Byways" module of "Space Lobsters of Doom" base game) As usual, any problems drop me a note including the complete log. Help->Report Bug is the ideal way. GaJ
  18. Meanwhile, this thread got way off the original topic, which remains a really good question: why are men who are _in_ buildings so easy to spot from the outside? (Somehow we got onto how to get into the building in the first place, which is a different question!) GaJ
  19. Where can one get this scenario? Edit: Answer: at CMMODS, of course
  20. I've been watching reports of H2H games of this scenario with interest, and this is the first time I've heard of the Russians loosing... GaJ
  21. The "list of bug reports" is maintained at h2hh.fogbugz.com. Only I can see the list But that is where you submit your bugs reports (this is where the Help->Submit Bug Report menu item takes you). There isn't an FAQ about what to do when things go wrong because usually I try to fix things so they don't go wrong I'm trying to get to the bottom of why a computer crash cases AppState.txt to get corrupted - it's pretty crappy if you have to re-set-up CMH after a computer crash. However, since this likely won't get fixed "overnight", I've added your tip about recovery to the User Manual. GaJ
