  1. Learning curve is pretty steep I would think. Can't think of another ladder with one undefeated player with 100+ wins. Gorski
  2. Terif Allies beats Gorski axis. If you have not been beat by Terif yet, you need to play him. You get a chance to see the optimum move for any given situation.
  3. Interesting. Got another loophole for you. What happens when UK puts a bunch of ships off of Spain so that Spain is entrenched when Germany invades?
  4. No co-op option available. But it anyway. I played the demo a long time and was surprised how much more there was to the full length game. GOrski
  5. Armenian-axis beats gorski allies. bid was 150
  6. Armenianboy-allies beats gorski-axis. British early jets and supercarriers rule the skies. Entire German panzer army cut off in the south east due to a partisan. sigh Gorskii
  7. You must be new. You are supposed to be cracking their head not their nut. Gorski
  8. Armenianboy axis, beat gorski allied. The bid was something typical 100-150. Great game. Germans got lucky with jet and range tech, but never got any tank advances! Russians got lucky with inf and industrial tech. The other Allies started fielding 5/5 supercarriers late in the game, but it was my first time using supercarriers and I could have done better. Russia surrendered August? 1944 and I conceded soon after. <S> Armenian Gorski
  9. Destroyer(allies) beats Gorskii(axis. Bid was 150
  10. We still do not have the full effects figured out. I was looking at Barbarosa. Put a tank 1 hex south of Konigsburg. If you move North East, You will move through 2 river hexes, 2 open hexes, and finally 1 hex with an enemy tank in it. The river hexes have 2 Russian units exerting ZOC on them. No matter what repositioning I tried over the course of about 5 turns, I couldn't move more than 3 hexes Northeast. If I swing North after the river, I can move 5 hexes. Until you kill both Russain units and remove the Russian tank, you can't move 5 hexes north east. Puzzling  Gorskii [ March 29, 2003, 04:28 AM: Message edited by: gorskii ]
  11. Romania joined before the Yugoslavia coup. Next turn I conquered Yugo and Greece. Does anybody know if Hungary and Bulgaria will still join me? Should I just attack them too? I also DoW and conquered Finland and Sweden. Allies DoW LC. I have of course already conquered Pol, Den, LC, and France. No other DoW's have been made. It's June 8, 41 now. Gorskii
  12. Gandalf's post doubled. It was only 1 game. Gorskii
  13. An HQ for 5 armies is not just a few generals. Somone said something about convoys. Think big convoys to supply attacks, front level artillery, MP's and Generals dictating road priorities(not joking) , major vehicle depots, etc. Just look at the game scale. An HQ takes about the same amount of damage as all the other units. Which halfway implies that it has somewhere close to the same number of troops in it as the other units in the game. Gorski
  14. Cmon guys. It's an easy question and I know most of you know the answer...
  15. That is the way the game was designed. Better off losing moscow than hedgehodging it. Since you brought it up, why have we heard of no abuses of this in ladder games? I can't believe that EVERYBODY that plays on the ladder is above using the gamey surround Moscow tactic. Gorskii
  16. I have forgotton which hexes you need to garrison to keep Italy from entering early.(tried to search for it too) Gorski
  17. You guys are referring to capturing a hex that has 2 enemy zones of control in it right? Gorskii
