  1. Holy huge illustration... doesn't even fit on my screen... Turns my thoughts to the divine...
  2. I think this is what you want. here
  3. no way. loveless was great but isn't anything is way more sexy... oops, my comment is posted too late to get me in with the cool kids...
  4. I don't think it will fix your CM problem with the flickering mousey thing, but I would sure defrag that drive. I usually start mine before I go to bed- almost every day. I've had far fewer general "issues" with software since I started getting in the habit a couple years ago. Cheers.
  5. In reference to my earlier post about SKI TROOPS- you can't see the skis and they don't look like they're skiing. But getting my ass handed to my by the AI more than makes up for it. I also have to say that the sounds are much improved over the CMBO BTS sounds, with bullets whizzing and hitting the earth and so forth. They still aren't as good as the mod sounds I have in CMBO, (thanks to some of MadMatt's) but it looks like BTS has also liked his skills enough to put some of them in the stock game.
  6. More experienced TCs and infantry have smaller and smaller command delays- something I've found quite useful. Veteran AFVs can move out of harm's way faster. I would also affirm that their gunnery is superior and well worth the point cost. Of course, If you want to use their guns for antipersonnel purposes, it might be wiser to buy more (cheaper) SP artillery. To reiterate: for me- Tank vs. Tank= buy experienced crews. Tank vs. Soft Delicate Flesh= anybody can pull a trigger.
  7. Well, hey, I just ordered CMBB today, and even THAT was fun... I'm sure I will be fresh meat for a while but I just think that SKI TROOPS would be cool even if they aren't that great in practice. SKI TROOPS. Now somebody will tell me something bad about SKI TROOPS...
  8. As for your last two questions, I figure that there is a lot less certainty- not to say that the crews don't aim, but my (somewhat limited) understanding of these weapons is that a tank or AT gun crew is going to have a better idea of what's a successful single shot than a heavy machine gunner peppering a halftrack with smaller rounds, and even moreso than a mortar team. In my experience, killing HTs with .50 happens rather often, less often with mortar fire, but neither weapon has anything like the success rate of the heavier weapons against HTs.
  9. Hello, folks. I took a somewhat long break from CMBO when I could no longer play hotseat with my favorite human opponent, and games against the AI have been less than challenging in most cases. I'm hoping someone who reads this would be up for a casual PBEM. I'm sure I can manage several turns a week at the very minimum- perhaps up to and over once per day. I usually play allies, but I'm up for anything, being so BORED by the computer. As an aside, how do people think CMBB would run on my system? PIII 550 GeForce2 32mb Win98 SE 128 mb RAM I'm keen to get it when it becomes available, but I do realise the age of my computer increasingly becomes a factor as each new month passes... ho hum. It's good to be back in the spirit of the game, though, and I look forward to a real opponent again. It would probably be good for me to start with a not-so-huge battle.
