  1. Many thanks to all who were involved in the organisation of this great tournament. In particular I must thank Kingfish for keeping the original player’s name on the results page (apologies to the individual concerned), so as to hide my embarrassment. Good luck to all the winners for the next round, and may the best man win as long as he comes from the group I was in. Until the next time……… . Red

  5. Kingfish has this been done yet as at present my inbox is empty. Cheers Red
  6. Silly point but have you put them in the scenario folder? Also if you have more than one game BB/BO have you put BO scenario's in the BB scenario folder? Red
  7. Hi Robert, Thanks for all your efforts. I hope to start ROQC soon (RL in the way at present). Have many people finished (if any)a campaign 1941-1945? If so is it common for them to start another campaign? Thanks again Red
  8. You may wish to try the opponents wanted forum Here Normally i would be happy to oblige, but i am pretty busy at present. The take up on this forum will be pretty slow. Red
  9. Agree with Firefly this morning it is horrendous. It has taken me 15 mins just get into this thread. XP IE6 9.45am GMT Red

  11. I think in a attack/assault the defender gets foxholes, where as in a probe you don't. Red
  12. Thanks guys, Yes the Ctrl v solves the problem completely. I didn’t think the movement paths would remain without the relevant vehicle present. Michael has a fair point that there appears to be a ratio between movement left and how far you can further adjust without adding a further waypoint. Red
  13. Hi all, I am having a problem with right clicking waypoints to extend their position (click & drag), when the way point I wish to adjust is in close proximity to unit. All I keep getting is the orders menu, with the option to add another way point. The situation would normally come about when a lighter tank comes into contact with a superior unit. The Tac AI replots move (normally reverse) to what it thinks is a safer position. On some occasions the turn finishes with the move incomplete, and a small amount of move to be completed next turn (5 meters or so). Often I wish to extend (not change) this to a better position, and due to the possible danger do not want to add additional way points, and then additional command delay associated with these. Because the waypoint is so close to the tank all I get is the orders menu. Obviously this is not so critical on most other moves. However every second counts when up against better tanks. Any thoughts? Red
  14. I was hoping someone might comment who has zipped their BMP folder to see if its worth the trouble. As it stands, it only seems wothwhile if you are short of hard disk space. Thanks Red
  15. Well now i have got you attention how big is your CMBO BMP file? As we all know it is possible to create some huge folders. Currently mine is 640mg, with not that many mods loaded. I have two questions relative to this point. This being does the size of the file influance the speed of the game in loading by much? and has anybody zipped their files as suggested in the CMMOS instructions to reduce the size of said folder. If so was it very time consuming, and what problems were encounterer if any. Thanks Red
  16. I have managed to get a halftrack stuck in a crater. I did not notice any improved cover benifits. Spent the next 5 turns trying to get it out only to have it knocked out by 105mm artillery. RR
  17. Being one of the brave souls i have to agree with Sanman that this is one big learning curve. The intial setup took me ages and i still got it wrong. Having not played much above 2000 points this can blow you away. I agree it is easy to lose units, and on many turns i have forgotten to issue orders, which normally results in their demise. I can understand peoples reluctance to have a go at these large operations, as i had some misgivings at first. I would suggest to those of you that have not tried them "give em a go". Having said that i can understand this will not be to everyone's liking. BTW we are approaching the end of the second battle and my global morale is nearly into single figures, need i say more. 18. Nevermind Thanks for the offer, but as you mention the file size is a problem. I have had enough of mega downloads on my dial up CMBB v1.01 at 68meg for us CDV users  Red
  19. Your lucky, If you have got the CDV version  all you get is their intro movie, which has absolutely nothing to do with the game. From memory a laser beam destroying a pyramid, with the logo emerging. BTW what is the BTS movie about?
  20. Sardaukar Can not find any ref to this paragraph regarding the obvious penalties should this occur. Campaign continues as long as even single crew member survives, but it can have adverse effect on experience level of your crew (and due engine limitations, your overall force quality). How are experiance points reduced if you suffer crew casualties?
  21. Sardaukar I have just started your armour campaign. One question so far is the force size always between 1000 - 1500 points? BTW nice idea see how far we get.
  22. Redimpz Like you i have been looking for such a patch, without any luck yet. I have the CMBB patch which works fine. So if anyone out there knows of a patch for CMBO (CDV version) please let us know.
  23. Being a late arrival to CM i am only just getting to grips with CMBO let alone CMBB, and now this. I have some serious catching up to do. BTW is there any fog in the desert for us ATI users? or are there dust clouds instead of fog
  24. Are you refering to files you have created and saved, or files that you have saved from e-mails sent to you?
