I was watching the replay of In For A Pound on You Tube by Jose Wales and noticed that the background panorama looks much better that what I had when I played the scenario. I assume the pano is a mod? If yes, how and where do I get it? Thanks.

I know that infantry have to enter a truck to replenish their ammo using the Acquire command. I am wondering how an armoured car can replenish it's ammo. In the scenario I am playing I moved an armoured car next to a truck which had the ammo that the machine gun on the armoured car is using hoping that the Acquire command would work but no luck. Is it possible to replenish the ammo of a vehicle? Thanks.

Playing Veni Vidi as the Brits. I placed one my sections in what appears to be rows of hedges by the wooden "pillboxes". I have been trying to move them but only 3 men of the section will move while the rest just sit there. Anyone else have this problem? Anyone know how I can get the rest of the section to move? Other than that, an action filled scenario. Thanks in advance for any comments or suggestions.

Currently playing this PBEM with a friend. I have the Yanks. One of my tank destroyers knocked out a Panther at range with a shot to it's side as it moved across my front trying to move to my left flank. However I have lost two other tank destroyers to Panthers. One of my bazooka teams ambushed a Panther and hit it 3 times from the side without knocking it out and then got taken out by the Panther. I have two more bazooka teams that each will be trying to take out a Panther this coming turn. However this time I waited until the Panthers rolled by their positions so as to get a rear shot. I have set short range target arcs for my infantry and machine guns hiding in foxholes as I can see German infantry advancing with the Panthers. My friend said he has some tanks bogged down but don't know how many. I suspect that at least one of them ran in to a mine field on the Yank right flank so maybe it immobilized it. I hope the reinforcing Shermans have some Fireflys but time will tell.

My friend and I are currently in the middle of a pbem game. If we purchase and install 4.0 will that screw up our game? Thanks.

Currently I am using FRAPS which is free to make videos of some of the action in my PBEM games. I also us it to take screenshots. The screenshots are fine but the video only lasts for 30 seconds so for the replay of one turn it takes two video clips. I have seen a lot of very well done and good quality videos on You Tube of Combat Mission Final Blitzkrieg, Fortress Italy and Battle for Normandy. I am wondering what software is available both free and retail that I could use in place of FRAPS. Thanks.

Is there a new procedure for taking screenshots where I would not have to use a 3rd party program like Fraps? Thanks.

Going back to CMBN I have been unable to take screenshots pressing CTRL/ALT/PrtScr simultaneously. It just produces a screenshot that is completely black. I can take a screenshot using FRAPS but am wondering why the first method no longer works. When I first got CMBN I could take screenshots using this method. I tried it with CMFI and Final Blitzkrieg but the screenshot is completely black. I am using Windows 7. Thanks in advance for any help and or comments.

It caught me by surprise too. I have never had an issue with loading infantry on any vehicle regardless of what unit the truck or infantry belonged to. This last turn the AT gun crew, along with it's two man ammo support loaded on to the truck with the A Battery designation and the AT gun is now being towed as well. The only comparable situation I have encountered is with tank crews that abandoned their tank. When they recover their morale they can only re-crew their original tank and not others that have been abandoned.

Ok, figured it out. There were two Beford QLD GS trucks. I was able to "load" the AT gun on to the second truck which was designated A Battery, also the designation of the AT gun. Thank you to everyone that replied.

Ian, as I indicated, I also moved the mouse cursor over the truck which is a Bedford QLD GS seating 13. The AT gun is indeed a 76 mm with a crew of 6 so there should be plenty of space. I also tried to "load" the 2 man ATG Ammo bearer for this gun on to the truck but again it showed the red arrow. In my next pbem move I will move the truck directly beside the AT gun to see if that makes any difference. Maybe the problem is that this particular truck is carrying ammo although it does show 13 empty seats.

Thanks for the reply. I tried this but it didn't work. I clicked on the AT gun, moved the mouse cursor on the truck, bren carrriers and even a jeep but each time the down arrow was red and not green which I understand means that the AT gun cannot be "loaded" on to that vehicle, or am I missing something?

I am playing a scenario where I have a limbered anti tank gun. I have a number of vehicles close by including a truck and bren carriers. What is the procedure and orders for getting one of the vehicles to hook up the AT gun and tow it? Thanks.

I saw today that there is a patch 3.12 for CMBN. I have the CMBN Bundle and Market Garden. When I start CMBN it indicates a version of 3.11. I do not have the Battle Pack. Do I need to install this patch? Thanks.

Thanks Ian and to everyone else that has helped me. Re-installed 3.0 and that did the trick. Now to get playing!

A little confused. Installed. CMFI base game, then the 3.0 upgrade, Gustav line, and patch 1.12. Version reads 1.12 and not 1.20.

Is there a specific order for installation or does it matter? I'm thinking, CMFI, Gustav Line, 3.0 Upgrade. Thanks.

Never mind, when I add it to the cart it shows $65 so my only question is that I assume that the license only allows me to install the game on one computer at a time so I could not install it on my desktop and my laptop at the same time. Correct?

Okay so I did a screenshot then reduced it using Paint to a size of 311 KB. Tried to attach it but it says you are only allowed a max of 501 KB. However my screenshot file is smaller than that so another problem. I also tried to drag it here and same message. Since that does not work here is the link to where I was on the Battlefront site. I clicked on the Store today to buy the CMFI Bundle and it shows a discounted price of $65. When I clicked on the delivery method it shows $90 for download. What gives? Secondly I assume that a license is for one computer only including the 3.0 upgrade which I am also going to purchase after I install the bundle. Any help would be appreciated.

Okay thanks. So my total cash outlay will be $75 USD. The "without further costs" is somewhat misleading. However time to try out CMFI.

Just getting ready to purchase the CMFI Bundle for $65. However at the Store it also says this: This bundle includes both "Combat Mission Fortress Italy" and the first module, "Gustav Line", in one attractive money-saving package! This bundle uses the v2.0 Engine until we have a chance to update it. Until that time we have discounted this bundle an additional $10 so that you can upgrade to v3.0 without further costs. I see that I can also add the 3.0 upgrade for an additional $10 so I don't understand the reference to "without further costs." I assume that when I order the 3.0 upgrade I will in fact have to pay another $10 so my total purchase price for the CMFI bundle and 3.0 upgrade will be $75.

Thanks, my friend bought it last night and I will be purchasing it shortly. He says the graphics are better than CMBN but the downside is that there are only about a dozen battles and none with Canadian forces. I have started searching the repository and there are some posts here at the forum about Ortona which is a battle that we are interested in. Is there a Ortona battle or is it a campaign? Hopefully there are lots of H2H battles that we can download. Thanks.

My friend and I have pretty well played all the scenarios for CMBN, Commonwealth and Market Garden modules so we are thinking that we would pick up CMFI. A couple of questions. If we buy the bundle do we still have to buy the 3.0 upgrade or is the bundle already updated to 3.0. Secondly is there a way that we can view the scenarios that come with the bundle. As we are both Canadians we are interested in playing scenarios that have Canadian forces and also some battles around Cassino. Thanks in advance for any information or comments.

I moved the breach team and it's HQ on to the objective area and about 5 green arrows appeared. I assume that this means that the demolitions have been disarmed and that I do not need to do anything else with these two units. Am I correct? Thanks.
