  1. In the last three weeks both me and a friend purchased Battlefront products paying for them with credit cards. Specifically, CMBN Big Bundle, and for me the Vehicle and Battle Pack. In early January, both our credit cards were hit with fradulent transactions. Luckily we both check our balances regularly so we reported them to our credit card providers. It is too much of a coincidence that we both were hit, so I am letting you know through the forum (not sure where I should have reported this) so that you can check the security of your ordering system because it may be compromised.   2. I have one friend who has the VP and BP but another one who doesn't. I play PBEM with both. If I started a scenario from the BP are you saying that my second friend who doesn't have either the BP and VP could play that scenario? If that is the case then only one of us had to buy the VP and BP. What I was thinking is that although the BP and VP files are in his install they had to be activated by him purchasing both. Anyway, I could find out by starting one with my second friend to see what happens.
  3. Okay I picked up the BP and the VP. JoMc67, I may be wrong but including the scenarios that come with the BP there are a number of scenarios I downloaded at the depot that indicate you need the VP to play so you can't play against an opponent who doesn't have the VP. Anyway looking forward to checking out the new vehicles.
  4. I posted a comment at the Scenario site but for some reason it did not get posted. There is a major issue with this scenario. My friend and I are currently in to our second playing with me as the Germans again. In the first playing I surrendered before we got to the time of the scenario we are now at. When there was 36 minutes left in the scenario, the tank platoon reinforcement consisting of a single Panther appeared. I have now tried twice but no matter what movement plot I give to the Panther it moves to the green highlight exit hexes for the convoy and then disappears. It totally ignored movement plots as if the movement to the exit hexes is programmed in to the scenario. LiveNoMore, maybe you can let me know what is going on. Thanks.
  5. Thanks for the replies. I play at Warrior level. I currently don't have any saved files that I can forward to you but am playing 3 PBEM games. What I do when playing is first make sure I have not selected any units so that all spotted enemy units are shown. I then start clicking individual units to determine which ones are doing the spotting. I will let you know when I have this happen again.
  6. Currently, knocked out vehicles continue to able to spot enemy units. I know this is the case in CMBN and I assume it is true for CMFI and CMFB. In the scenario I am playing the only unit that can spot some of the enemy units is a halftrack that was knocked out early in the scenario. Hopefully this is corrected in the patch for Game Engine 4 so that knocked out vehicles will no longer be able to spot enemy units.
  7. Thanks Howler, I went back and looked at the range and both Marders were closer than 400 meters. I guess the weapon they are using has stunned the crew of the Syrian tank because as I mentioned it has not yet fired back, thank goodness, or the Marders would be toast. I've put both in reverse while maintaining an armour arc of fire.
  8. My friend and I are trying out the demo, specifically the Alamo scenario. I have two Marder 1A5 which indicate that they have the Milan 3 ATGM 6s. They have been firing at a Syrian tank for the last two minutes but not with the AT missiles so all their hits are bouncing off the Syrian tank but for some reason it has not returned fire. How do I get the Marders to use their AT missles? Thank you.
  9. The product screens for the above two indicate that no download is needed as long as I have the Commonwealth and Market Garden modules plus I have an up to date game. I do have both modules, and on my initial screen at the bottom right it shows "v4" and "Game Engine 4" so I assume that I have to do is purchase the above two packs and they will be activated. Am I correct? Thanks.

  11. I've been looking in the manuals for an explanation of the different levels of cover. By levels, I mean which ones afford the best protection and so on down to the least protection. For example does being in a house give a unit better protection then being in a foxhole? What about wooden bunkers which I assume wouldn't offer much protection from a tank's main weapon. If someone can tell me where I can find this information it would be much appreciated.
  12. I'm wondering what the experience of other people have had playing Montelimar. I am playing the Germans in a H2H against a friend of mine and can't believe the number of tanks the Americans have. It must be somewhere between 25 and 30. I've knocked out about a dozen mostly by infantry with panzerschreks and panzerfaust. I just lost the last of my 3 assault guns and still waiting for the panzer reinforcements but only 38 minutes left in the scenario. I hid my infantry behind buildings because the Yanks just advance in a line of tanks and keep blasting the buildings until they collapse at which point the infantry hiding behind them can't run fast enough. I did get a convoy off the map but it certainly seems like a real tough one for the Germans.
  13. In hindsight I should have known that RT was Red Thunder. I don't have Red Thunder. Thanks for the replies. Since Red Thunder covers the last year of the war I would be more interested in the earlier years of the eastern front. I am surprised Battlefront isn't working on that or a North African game like they had in the original Combat Mission series. However, I am very much looking forward to Rome to Victory. In my opinion, the current Combat Mission series is the gold standard for computer tactical warfare.
  14. If I have a spotter that is killed before the barrage he called in takes place, will that barrage still occur?
  15. Thank you for the prompt reply. I was looking at either a 28 or 32 inch 4K monitor. Would the issue about being able to read the text and control panel be more of a problem with the smaller monitor? What size monitor would you recommend?
  16. I am planning to buy a new computer which will be Windows 10 and also a 4K monitor. I have CMBN, Commonwealth module, Market Garden module, CMFI, Gustav Line module, and CMFB. First question, can all of these be displayed at the 4K resolution of the 4K monitor, 3840 X 2160? Secondly, would I able to install these on my new computer before uninstalling from my current computer? I saved all the license numbers etc. Thank you.
  17. I am just starting a scenario and am placing my units. There are some light mortars that start in buildings. I assume that they cannot shoot when in a building? Is this correct? Thanks in advance for any help.

I am playing a scenario where the Yank squads don't start the scenario with bazookas but the halftracks they are riding in have them so I used the Acquire command to get the bazookas and also acquired the 60mm heat which I assume is what the bazooka fires. I broke down the squad so that there is an antitank team to ensure that the bazooka is fired. Is this correct? Or will an intact squad with a bazooka fire the bazooka when targeting an enemy AFV? The squad also has grenade launchers which have a range of 350 metres. Is there a way to select this weapon to fire, or is it arbitrarily chosen by the program? Thanks.
  19. Thanks for all the replies. I kind of figured it could knock out halftracks but wasn't sure about Stug's and Mark III's and IV's. I assume that heavy tanks would be immune. In the scenario I am playing, Carbide Carbide, the terrain is basically hedgerow so the Germans have been situating their tanks and the one Stug (now knocked out) in ambush positions and really not moving them for long periods so they are easier to target. Causing a crew to panic and abandon a tank is almost as good in addition to immobilizing it.
  20. I am playing a scenario as the Yanks where I have 105 mm artillery. I'm wondering if it can knock out halftracks, tank destroyers like Stug III, or possibly Mark IV's. The proof being anyone who has played a scenario where they have seen any of the AFV I mentioned knocked out by 105's. Thanks.
  21. Thanks, I deleted the two cloud files and that fixed it. I loaded a number of scenarios and noticed that the new horizon did not load for all of them. Must be for the smaller maps only.
  22. I installed the horizons mod by Aris and checked out a replay from the scenario I am currently playing by PBEM, In For A Pound. There were "waves" moving from right to left on the ground during the replay almost like what you would expect if there were smoke moving quickly. Anyone know what might be causing this? Other than that the horizon and sky looks great.
  23. Sorry but I want to make sure I understand the procedure before I do anything. I have a file folder called "User Data". Inside this folder is another file folder called "Mods". There are actually four Bitmap image files for Canadian uniform, officer and vehicle which I didn't know were there. I suspect they were installed when I installed one of Kohlenklau's Canadian scenarios that he generously provided me. So I should create a new folder in the Mods folder and then extract the horizons mod in to that folder, correct? Thanks again to everyone for the comments and help.
  24. Thanks Badger. Going on your recommendation I downloaded "Aris Horizon & Clouds Mod". I have never installed a mod before so I assume that I merely extract this to the mod folder. I am actually currently playing In For A Pound PBEM so would installing the mod now screw up our game? Also, it is my understanding that anytime there is an update such as to Game Engine 4.0 that mods have to be manually re-installed.
