  1. It's been a year. The keys still can't be remapped, from what I can tell. Any updates?
  2. Ok, I'll look for some missions without the UF. Thanks for the speedy reply. Crossing my fingers in hopes my disc installs correctly; somehow it seems to have gone through a war on it's own.
  3. I realize they are an integral part of the campaign, but they annoyed me so much on release that I just gave up. I did use the search function but couldn't find the answer to my question. Which is: Is there a way to remove unconventional forces and/or has anyone made a mod that allows for single play without them? Thanks
  4. Bleh- turns out the arrow keys are either hard-coded or I can't figure out what they would be (e.g. up, up arrow, forward, etc. in the hotkeys.txt file). I think including a key, um, key would be a great idea if more customization could be built in with a patch.
  5. Thanks for the tip and the astonishingly fast reply. I use the R/L mouse buttons as well, but sometimes my fingers start getting tired from all the mouse button holding so I like to just use the arrow keys to scroll around a while.
  6. I have been trying the demo, but the controls are just too out of whack for me as a left handed player. According to the manual, the WASD and the arrow keys are both forward, back, left, and right. In fact, the WASD keys control move forward, back, left and right, and the arrow keys move the camera angle up and down. This makes it difficult to move around the map and such without weird hand movements. Is there any way to remap or customize the control scheme?
  7. I took a look at the linked threads and found way more than I can digest for some time. I got the terrain hex mod, the units tables, and am going to print the .pdf manual out for leisure reading. Thanks for the tips!
  8. I realize I am way behind the curve, but I just bought the CM Anthology in anticipation of Strike Force. I need some help though. Is there a beginner's FAQ somewhere? Or a site someone can recommend to me with newbie help? My most pressing questions at the moment regard terrain, Line of sight, cursor speed, and unit capability. 1) Basically what I have been doing is changing the camera view to "flat", seeing where blind spots/ LOS will be available, and moving there. I use the LOS command from the menu as well, to ensure I my troops have sight of the enemy (hoepefully without them seeing me). Is this the "standard" way or am I missing something? 2) Is there a way to increase the speed at which the cursor keys allow me to scroll, pan, etc. the camera? Right now it's painfully slow and I end up using the buttons on the UI. 3) Is there somewhere I can look up what each unit can do or its' typical combat role? Thanks
