  1. Well, I have to confess that I'm dissappointed too with the chosen vehicles for the patch. It's a pity BFC didn't choose to make the 3d-model creation accessible to the CMBB fans, as I'm sure many would contribute and make great additions to the game. Well, it's too late now.
  2. Ok, I see your point. We really should stop bumping this thread.
  3. Any T-34 with the three-color camo that was applied to some unit during WW2.
  4. Boy oh boy! There are gorgeous... thank you very much Mr. Noobie!
  5. Hmmm... my undestanding of MTC is different from what I deduce by reading here. If everyone is using MTC, they will go to ground, or stop, when they have LOS with the unit that ambushed your point team, not when your point team is ambushed as I undestand from reading the above. So, am I wrong undestanding than in this particular tactical example, Move to Contact would give you more advantage that the simple Move that was suggested?
  6. Ok, let's start guessing about the models. I'm personally praying for an IS-1, an IS-3 and a Stug-IV. O please, please, please
  7. Hello, They usually wear it in the blue shirt under the uniform. The arrows and the yoke is the simbol of the "Falange", a party founded by the politician Jose Antonio Primo de Rivera, who was killed by the Republicans during the Spanish Civil War. The simbol was called the "Yugo y las Flechas" (the arrows and the yoke). Sin novedad en el Alcazar! (That was a popular greeting among the soldiers of the Blue Division). P.d. Great site about the "Grossdeutschland". I also enjoyed very much your scenarios. Thanks
  8. Well, if they are basically guns with similar ballistic characteristics, with basically the same optics, why would the first shot have less probabilities in a semi-automatic gun than in an fully automatic one? The hit chance should be the same for the first shot, and successive automatic shots in the salvo should have a slight less hit chance (vibration in the gun mechanism, sligh movement of the vehicle, etc.)
  9. While playing around with the Soviet IS heavy tanks, I found out several characteristics that raise some questions that many of you may answer - The IS-2 M1943 is rated in CMBB as having a "very slow ROF", while the IS-2 M1944 (early or late) are rated as "slow ROF". Did they introduce some kind of improvement in the D-25 guns to make loading them faster? (a semi-autoloader or somefink?) - In the IS-3 Heavy Tank, the commander cupola was removed (as is reflected in CMBB). If the cupola improved the crew spotting abilities, why did they decided to remove it? Did they replaced with some kind of panoramic periscope? - Why was the coaxial MG ammo reduced so drastically in the IS-3 with respect to the IS-1/IS-2? Did it reflect a change in doctrine or employment? Thank you very much for the answers
  10. Fantastic looking mod, Saturnin. Eagerly waiting for it [ January 17, 2003, 12:24 PM: Message edited by: Iberian ]
  11. Yes, now that you mention PSWs... I seem to recall that the PSW 221 is using the same model as the PSW 222 (20mm gun turret, instead of 7.92 MG) [ January 12, 2003, 12:31 PM: Message edited by: Iberian ]
  12. Fantastic mod, Jorge! I love that style of camouflage. Thank you very much!
  13. FWIW, the Soviet AA guns are using the same models as the German ones. For example: the 85mm AA is using the German 88mm model, or the 25mm AA is using the German 20mm model.
  14. Hmmm... I'm just playing a scenario where a Russian wooden bunker with a machine gun was covering a stretch of road. I advanced a German PSW 222 armoured car into LOS to it, and it started to fire the 20mm gun against them, using only HE ammo. The PSW only needed something like 4-5 20mm bursts to knock the bunker out. Some of the bursts were reported as entering the firing slit, and you could here the excited voices of the German crew each time they hit the bunker. I would imagine that a higher caliber HE shell would be a lot worse than the 20mm HE... but maybe the rate of fire is what really counts here.
  15. He, he, he... I noticed at work, but I couldn't reply until I arrived at home! Again, I have to thank you for the wonderful job done on these guns, they look superb in game. By the way, yesterday I played for the first time the CMBB scenario "A Warm Place to Sleep", which I really enjoyed. To my surprise, I noticed that Mike was the author of the scenario too. Again, I thank you very much, Mike.
  16. Mike, I just downloaded them. These gun mods are astonishing! Thanks again for your great works of art. Best regards.
