I do believe that AA vehicles wont be in the game just yet.
Battlefront are trying to create a really good ground to air combat system, but I believe they are not there just yet.
Until the new ground to air system is in place they aren't releasing any AA units if I have understood the situation correctly.

I haven't tried them yet , but I'm guessing that if a tank is "only" knocked out it might appear on a later map if you are playing a campaign.

In CMBO the churches could take alot of led while keeping it's occupants fairly safe.

I notified two sites and neither has responded, although one did mention the demo. It seems that the game and its makers are probably not "mainstream enough" (read greedy bribe-paying marketing weenies) for most game sites to want to review it. Screw 'em. We know what we got here.
That's what I was afraid of. If we're lucky it'll get a good review from the hardcore sites out there and that will draw the attention of some of the more mainstream sites (PC Gamer is probably our best bet again.) .
I can't say I totally blame them. Comming almost straight from the old CM I find the new UI a little daunting to get into.

It's a very complex game for a niche crowd.
Only a few sites (three moves ahead etc.) probably have the right people to properly review a game like this.

Ditto to the suggestion. The video AAR's were each worth a thousand words of forum pointers. I also agree that human vs. human would be VERY interesting to watch, although one of the things that made the demo video AAR's instructive for newbies was Chris's running commentary.
I agree Chris's commentary was very interesting.
If someone had waaaaay to much time on their hands they could edit together turns from wego and add commentary to it.
I would however settle for a RT 1vs1 multiplayer battle

I confess that I was addicted to RTS Replays. I find myself a bit damp and tingly at the notion of CM Replays.

Anyways, maybe some of the regulars from, for instance, the PENG thread would take an evening off to record an exciting realtime game for the good of battlefront and the wonder that is Combat Mission
.Or if I dare aim higher , maybe Steve could challenge one of the other developers (Moon, Charles, Kwazydog etc.) or a betatester to show the game off.

Small quickbattles was my favourite type of game in the old games to. A snacksized map with a FUN interesting troop mix. To much realism in the trooptype department makes small games less intersting IMO. Fix the mix or do sumfink Battlefront

Hmm...yeah , I suppose it would have to be realtime , but I've already watched an AAR vs the AI and that was sort of interesting but a multiplayer game would be really exciting in my opinion.
Or you could just edit together all the movies from a wego

I've been watching alot of shoutcasts of Company of Heroes and starcraft games online and actually find it fairly interesting. I wouldn't mind seeing some more youtube clips from Combat mission battle for Normandy .
A game between two real players could be very tactical and exciting to see. While maybe providing the seasoned players with some new tactics it could help us new players to get used to the UI and at the same time get a "feel" for the game.
So get on it people....put on a show for the new guy and sell a few more games for Battlefront while your at it
