  1. AOM does not have STUNNING graphics, good, but nothing special. Anyway, when ever I enable AA CMBB won't show up, what gives?
  2. Their sources are listed at the start screen of most battles. Here is another great source: http://www.stormpages.com/garyjkennedy/
  3. I set my game resolution at 1024x768 when I first installed, now I want it at 1280x1024. How?
  4. Turrets flying off and tanks being blown in half are not relaistic at all. Most of the damage occurs inside the tank. Usually only small chunks of metal and bits of track will go flying, depening on where the round impacts. Sometimes hatches will be blown outwards.
  5. Shipping went America to Britan to Russia. I think.
  6. No crap. I'll be firing at an infantry squad in a foxhole, a shell will land right on the rim and not one man will be harmed. In reality wind DID and DOES affect shells but only at fairly long ranges. I can remember reading somewhere about how sometimes inexperienced batteries would open up on the exact coodinates given but wouldn't factor in the wind and the shells strayed a quite a bit.
  7. The manual says that the spotting rounds are seen by the FO and he will adjust accordingly. If you are looking to adjust yourself then look at the size of the mortar round and look for an explosion size that would fit its calibre.
  8. Almost all German AP shells of WWII(disregarding HEAT in this sense) were fitted with an explosive charge of various proportions. Today I recieved CMBB as a Christmas gift(woohoo!) and its great. In the few skirmishes I fought today I noticed that only the Russian AP shells/shot are listed in the info window as having HE content. For example I select a T-34 and tap the "enter" key and it reads something like "76.2 mm AP round(large explosive charge)." Same thing with a 76.2 mm field artillery piece a little later, Russian. However, I find no mention of such explosive charges in the info window of German shell/shot even though the Germans chiefly used HE content in their AP shells. Whats the deal?
  9. I love it. Good job. [ December 24, 2002, 10:26 PM: Message edited by: Wolfgang_Otto ]
  10. Just you. Brighten your monitor. I had the same problem with other games. Also, can't you alt-tab out of the game to get the text to reappear? [ December 24, 2002, 10:54 AM: Message edited by: Wolfgang_Otto ]
  11. yeah. how common were Flak guns used in this role? and di they still use the same Flak ammo?
  12. Yeah. Band Of Brothers is great. But it pisses me off when I want my infantry to advance like Easy Company and they freak out and hide!
  13. Well, I would guess because of extreme rarity. We are talking like two guns here. They were for prolonged bombardment of towns, like Lenningrad and huge concret fortifications. You wouldn't call in a fire mission with one. One shell every 10 minutes or so would be the max.
  14. Thanks a bunch guys. So let me get this straight... British only like solid shot. Americans used both. Germans used both. Russians used both. How common were they to the individual nations? And what about HEAT rounds? They are only good aganist soft armor correct? Half-tracks and the like. [ December 21, 2002, 10:48 PM: Message edited by: Wolfgang_Otto ]
  15. Ok thanks a bunch! How common were they?(guess?) And are they depicted in Combat Mission II?(ordered...not arrived yet) Know any additional sources I can consult about this?(books...websites...) [ December 21, 2002, 10:19 PM: Message edited by: Wolfgang_Otto ]
  16. Questions. German anti-tank shells of WWII, didin't most have an explosive charge? Was it supposed to explode on the OUTSIDE of the tank or INSIDE? What about American/Russian/British anti-tank shells? Did they have explosive charges?
