  1. Hello, so finally i played the demo without any problems, guess my windows had some hick up. Ok - i admit i played it twice... And after i got used to the new optic, which is not quite as functional as in part one, i really fell in love with the many small improvements there are in SC2. Hubert did it again! If the fullversion represents what the demo promises it will endanger my private life for sure ! I cannot wait to have that game !
  2. Hello, just downloaded the demo but i get an error message: "DIRECTSOUND FAILED: dserr_generic" An short look at dxdiag showed no sound probs. Anyone knows what went wrong ? Btw.: its great to finally have the new SC ! Hope to get it work here soon.
  3. Hello, well SC cannot take every historical incident into account. The main problem is for me Ireland having no port. But this can also be for an game balance reason. I guess you just have to notice, that you just put one corps to Ireland and destroy the Irish army with airfleets and ships.
  4. Hello, the Americans get more angry, so it also depends on that situation. But I guess you do not need the Kriegsmarine to threaten the Brits, Luftwaffe will do, too.
  5. Hello, although I do not know what cookie-cutter means, I did two Mods, but they are "whats if"s so it depends on if you like that kind. Feedback would be welcome, get them here: http://www.anvil-soft.com/downloads/MidEurope_pact.zip http://www.anvil-soft.com/downloads/Cordon_Sanitaire.zip
  6. Hello, I miss this option, too. And that you can deactivate a country in gerneral, when you realize it was a fault to activate it. As its now, you have to restart the campaign design...:-(
  7. Hello, perhaps the exact name of the Mod would also help to clear your problem.
  8. Hello SeaMonkey, I do not know if you read my offer in the other thread...I can put your Mod online for everyone, if you like me to.
  9. Hella Fella, I finally had time to test it and I, too made it in 1945, but I played in girls mode (beginner) and its a nicely designed mod. I like it and will try "men mode" and later "hero mode". Many nice ideas and good variety to the usual SC scenarios. Could not find any ideas by me though.. Keep on our excellent work...i am waiting for the next..
  10. Hello, I got it via mail, but probably I will have time at the weekend to test it - i am looking forward to it. If you need a place to host it (I have read your thread "Return of the allies"), I can put on our server for the masses - but please put an "read.me" to it, that people know its from you and what settings you recomment. Just tell me and it will be online.

  12. Hello, has anyone had time to play one of these maps, yet?

  14. Hello, for all two player lovers here is a beta version of the MidEurope Pact. "Beta" because I only played against myself, which has obvious disadvantages. Also I did a new scenario called "Cordon Sanitaire" based on the French idea after World War I, that the small countries as Hungary etc. could build a safety ring against communism. Again its aimed at an advanced Axis player. Get them here: 1. Two player MidEurope: http://www.anvil-soft.com/downloads/1939%20MidEurope_pact_2Pv0-8.zip 2.Cordon Sanitaire: http://www.anvil-soft.com/downloads/Cordon_Sanitaire.zip @Seamonkey: You can modify the map as you wish, but if you publish anything, do not use the history I invented. I want the maps to match the texts I provide and invest some time in synchronizing them. So please use your maps for your joy and e.g. write its your personal variation of my mod with a link were they can get it, if you want to stick to the hitsory.

  16. Hello, yes, but once you eliminated them you cannot bring them back. So I would have to do the whole map again. BTW: Did you get the two player version ? I also started a new scenario, but its still in development.

  18. Hello, well, this Finland confusion is sadly normal for this scenario, but it is the programmers fault somehow. The problem is, if I want to get rid of this behaviour I have to start creating the whole map again. The editor seems to "remember" further thoughts, one of them being a conquered Finland. Then I changed for better balance and more interesting history. @SeaMonkey: I'll have a look at the current ballance and then you will receive a version(Probably this weekend).

  20. Hello, well I have an upload opportunity, the one I used before. I just was not sure if you like to have it directly to an email account or via a download. Also it could be spread, though unfinished.

  22. Hello, I will give it a try, though i am very busy at the moment. One version is already done, i played it hotseat, but as I said before, the fact that i know my moves, provides surprises. The major problem i face is anyway, that I do not want to change the setting too much, for it results in a different history and i do not want to change that in a two player mod. So I have to arrange it that the Germans have enough strenght at the beginning to rise to an economical power, for the Russians are involved too early. How long should I test a version, and were could I send it, or should I upload it as "beta" ?

  24. Hello, I will consider this idea - but the core problem is testing. Its easy to place units, but it takes ages to find the unbalanced parts in a scenario. Anyway I do not even have human counterparts to test it and if you know your enemies moves, you probably miss some unjust settings.
