As a member of B&T I write a review of every B&T scenario I playtest but it seems a little inapropriate to upload my reviews of B&T scenarios to The Depot.
Not because the reviews aren't appreciated, or warranted, or impartial quality material, but the fact that as a member of B&T my review could be construde as biased in the context when considered against an independant review of a B&T scenario.
I have a few scenarios up at the Depot and a couple of reviews from independant sources as compared to a couple of thousand downloads...
I appreciate every review and thank those who have enjoyed my scenarios enough to comment on them.
Thanks for the reviews, keep em' coming!

If I may...
The winning AAR for ROW IV was 19 pages long and detailed a turn by turn account of the battle, the players thoughts and his feelings as he went.
Anakulin included overhead tactical screenies every 8 turns or so to help draw the picture of the overall battle.
You don't have to make it 19 pages, you don't have to have the most detailed screenies, but the more you put into it the more everyone gets out of it, but please keep the whole thing under 4 mb...
OH YEAH,
14 DAYS TO GO !!! DON"T PANIC !

I have no problem with my scenarios being included, Nicely Done if you ask me!

Damn it man, pull yourself together! You have 3 weeks. Nothing can't be overcome in that time!Originally posted by stikkypixie:What happens if we don't make the deadline. I have a game that I can't possibly finish in time.

That would be a designers perspective?

Or even worse... You pick up the field phone and find the enemy on the other end

True, every system has it's limitations.
Then there's the compromises...
I've often thought about replicating the Kokoda Track (trail ) Battles...
But more so with force mix where weight of numbers may be involved in a battle, or a seperate victory condition that can be made to work within the CM system.
Do people want the scenario to play out regardless of historical realities in a balanced game or do the want to refight the war the way it was on the day... just to see if they can do it? To see if they can beat the odds?
What do people want?
I'm really interested to know!

If your talking about the 'unrealistic custom scenario thread' you've entirely missed the point of my post...

I'm interested to know what people like in their scenarios... Historical accuracy at the expense of game balance or game balance at the expense of accuracy... or a canny balance of the two. Hard, sometimes impossible...
Having done a little designing myself it's a hurdle I've often come across. I can say I've favoured one or the other in the past depending on the scenario, but...
I'd really like to know what you guys think

Funnily enough, I'm currently reading Will Fey's Panzer Battles of the Waffen SS and it has all sorts of fun tit-bits just like that...
