After many failed reconfiguration attempts (and reboots) correct the conflict between my sound card and video card... I found the answer to be "shift - s" before minizing!

Funny you should ask! After a while, I began to notice that I would always here the distant sound of artilary just before the reboot, although I would never see the CMBB screen. This got me to thinking what you already figured out. I looked and noticed my sound card (Delta M-audio) was using the same IRQ #9 as my prophet card. I disabled the sound card and presto! the problem went away. So, now the question, how the heck do I change this on a PnP system?

Hey, thanks for the time and advise.. It took me a while, but I finally came to the conclusion that I don't have an AGP card. It's the PCI card! So.. any AGP settings are not relevent to my machine. I did try a few more things though.. Uninstalled Norton utils (lots of stuff runnig in background), disabled NAV auto protect, disabled web content desk top. Still getting the same results I'm currently downloading the latest kyro drivers for my card.. they did have other (older versions), I'll try these and hope I find a good combination. Thanks Again.

Yes, I am running directx default settings. The kyro/prophet drv. version is 1.6.16.55. Also, I've just installed directx 9. I rebooted and tried again with the same results: 1)started QB, 2)hit "alt tab" to minimize, 3)click on the task bar to maximize 4)REBOOT occurs

I'm using SP3. I think I'm running directx 8.1, but will verify this when I get home. Maybe I should download version 9? Haven't had this problem before, but don't currently have any other directx games installed.

The other night I played as the soviets against the computer. I had one T-34 and had already destroyed 5 small German tanks. There was one remaining, hiding behind a small house. While all I had to do was to watch over the house and wait the tank out (I was defending), I made the mistake of blasting the house. The problem was, that was my last round of ammo! Well, the hiding tank, immediately came out and began firing on my infantry, without regard to my T-34. My question is.. how did he no that I was out of ammo? If he was indeed hiding? btw - I only managed a draw.

Thanks! I don't believe the hq had LOS to the targets.. must have been the problem.. and I'll have to give the TARGET NEXT another go!

FNG here! I'm working through the 3 scenarios on the demo and have the following questions: What is the command TARGET NEXT? Is it functional in the DEMO? (doesn't seem to be) Why can't I target Artiliry over hills? Thanks! I have orded CMBB, BTW, but can't seem to stop playing the demo and wait for the full version.. LOL
