I am running TACOPS on a Powerbook G4 that only runs OSX but does run OS9 in Classic and the game works fine - feel free to email me for detail if I can help in any way. TACOPS is one fo the only serious wargames available for Mac thanks to the Major and a gem.

I am an ex-army vet (1976-80) with a new Powerbook that I like but have little selection for good solid waragmes. Being new, I wanted to ask the forum and the Major if Tacops (I have a purchased copy) would be nice for playing solitaire games on planes and hotels as I travel a good bit for business?? Any suggestions on getting up to speed and also any other sources of scenarios and etc. would be much appreciated. Are there alot of scenarios for the Mac version? Quick look at game content on my hard disk and it appears that there are alot issued with game? exactly what i do - boot into OS 9 with my new Ibook and it runs fine and is great.

I just got a new Ibook and am very happy to report that booting to 9.2, installing game and running from there is working ok - just started game and ran a few turns and all is ok. I have done nothign with any extensions as I read others have had to do. This is great as CM is my favorite game and the Mac is my favorite computer. will report back if any problems occur as I play further - best of luck fellow Mac users.
