  1. Cool, thanks guys. Makes searching through CMMODS a whole lot easier
  2. Don't know if this is the right place to ask this... But anyway: I've been trying out McMMM, and I keep getting this message: "Cannot focus a disabled or invisible window." And it simply stops installing. After I then tried uninstalling to see what happened, I got alot of doubles in the list of Uninstalled mods... Anyone else had this problem?
  3. Oh yes, good call. You're also supplied with a sun-driven power outlet. It was fortunate that your ship was loaded with those.
  4. ...with nothing at all apart from a spanking new computer and a fresh install of CMBB. Fortunately, you managed to bring the required patches on a CD, as well as a handful of mods. The question is, what mods would these be? (You can interpret 'a handful' any way you like)
  5. So, no news? Hope all this information isn't lost forever
  6. Uhm, what happened? I sat down with a nice cup of tea, ready for a cozy reading only to find that every link I click gives me this page: You have requested a topic that does not exist! ยป Please use your browser's back button to return.
  7. Link? Directly to those articles preferrably [ January 26, 2003, 10:57 AM: Message edited by: Bjorn Kristinsson ]
  8. Hehe, funny. I was trying precisely the same thing yesterday The really really heavy artillery takes up to 25 minutes to ready is seems :\ I'll be watching this thread, I'd be interested to see how it's done.
  9. Sorry, it looks like my whole webspace is offline for some reason. Should fix itself later today (hopefully)
  10. You should be able to plug your old HDD to your new computer, and then copy everything from that to your new HDD. You might have to change some the jumpers on the old drive to make it a slave, I can only refer you to your manual on that one. Or try every option, one at a time, it'll work, eventually
  11. Ok, here's the list of textures as far as I can figure 'em out. If I remember correctly, their order is counter-clockwise, that is to say: </font><blockquote>code:</font><hr /><pre style="font-size:x-small; font-family: monospace;"> #1 #2 #2b #3</pre>
  12. Preview! This is sort of starting to work Don't know if I'll ever actually get further than this, but we'll see.
  13. Oh dear... They're not making it easy for us. There are 3 textures for each season/time of day, ordered like this: Tex#1 - Text#2 - Tex#3 - Tex#2 (mirrored) So basically, it appears that Tex#1 and Tex#3 have to be looping, i.e. start and end in the same way, because they'll connect to one end of Tex#2, and then the same end again on the other side, because Tex#2 re-appears mirrored. Bum.
  14. Hmm... I think I just figured it out A few things I'm not sure about yet, but you can probably expect a few preview screenshots in a couple of hours..
  15. I'm working on new skies for CMBB, but have run into a rather annoying problem: I can't figure out the textures! They seem to be the 14xxs (and possibly some 'blanks', as there is only one winter texture)... Anyone have any idea which one goes where? On the first attempt I made a whole panorama to replace a texture, that doesn't seem to be the way to go, only covered a quarter of the sky. So I found four clear-skies textures and tried putting them together to see which one goes where, and three of them seemed to work fine any way I put them... But there was always one to spare that didn't seem to fit anywhere... P.S. Are there any replacement skies available anywhere already, by the way? Haven't seen any... 16. Sweet! Yeah, I want those too, there often wasn't enough paint to cover the tank so they had various ways of compensating.. White Stripes (nice band, but I digress ), cross hatch, only the front painted white... even covered parts of the tanks with sheets and whatnots.
  17. A mod manager would still be handy if you've got many skins lying around and you want to be able to switch back and forth alot... Although a carefully planned directory structure could take care of that too.
  18. Why start a thread with an URL to another thread?
  19. I've done a bit of skinning for IL2 Sturmovik, and there I ran into this great colour guide: http://www.flugzeugwerk.net/color.htm Don't know how accurate it is, but it's a brilliant thing. Makes it easier to have your skins look like they belong to the same force Any such thing for army vehicles? Sadly there are no RAL listings on that page, and the colours have different names (no dunkelgelb or rotbraun for instance). Edit: Just found this site where you can enter in any RAL number to see what the colour looks like (as well as your monitor can handle it anyway) http://www.easyrgb.com/reference.php It doesn't have 7028 though, the base RAL colour for German tanks in Europe from 1943-1945 [ November 07, 2002, 08:57 PM: Message edited by: Bjorn Kristinsson ]
  20. Still pink mate... It's clearly visible on the screenshot, too. Very good apart from that, though.
