  1. I don't know how anyone can willingly play the AI in this game. Every time I've attempted to , I've fallen asleep not long after. With cmchat and the oppenent finder forums why would anyone subject themselves to such torture ?
  2. YES YES YES! These are THE two things I want to see in CMAK! Radom Area and surpression fire within an arc and the ability to control how much ammo you use whilst firing mortars in a 60 second turn.
  3. I'm hoping CM3 will have 4 player support but I doubt it. How awesome would that be though? You and a friend taken on two other friends, it would really add an intense amount of teamwork to the game. Althugh , I suspect many friendships will be lost forever because one guy rushed his tanks early and you were left without support
  4. I play small battles exclusively. 800 points or so for attacks and assaults and no more than 1000 for meeting engagements is usually what I play (usually = 99% of the time). I think cm gets boring when you get too far past the company sized engagements, because you tend to hold no regard for individual squads, at guns, and ht's.
  5. Any chance of beefing up the CMBB retail edition with the strat guide thrown in? I can't see how you guys can make a SE version of cmbb , as its pretty much damn perfect as is.
  6. You can't add models into cmbb nor into cmbo. Sorry.

  8. They are done with patching cmbb except for 1.03 , so, no they aren't. However, CMAK has polish troops and I hope they take the time to get them right and I think they are planning on doing it. I'm an American but my geneology is Polish, so I'd like to play as the poles once in awhile.
  9. Ah good. I thought I had the right idea about their use and I don't just suck with them
  10. Ok, I'm constantly trying to come up with new means of smiting my #1 oppenent Sidewinder, which means coming up with fresh tactics using different units in cmbb. Neither of us had ever really used AT mines until i brought them to the forefront when I found they were surprisingly effective. Now it is almost impossible to play an attack without coming across at least one AT mine Which brings me to the wepse. I've always wondered if there is anyone out there that finds this SP artillery piece of any use. Sure, at first it looks like a bargain. Low priced, long range optics, and a great anti infantry ammo loadout. But upon further inspection, I've come to think the costs outweigh the benefits. First off all, this thing has an obese profile. Even in a hull down position, nestled away from most lines of sight even an infantry squad can identify them at ranges of 1000 meters. This really ruins its use in a defensive environment, with a good oppenent capable of wiping out your entire wespe platoon before they see action. Second, It has eggshell armor. This would be fine if your enemy was regulated to infantry only, but that's just not a realistic assumption to make. One might say this isn't much of a problem just speed away to another location when armor is spotted. Well, that brings us back to #1, usually the enemy can take you down before you even have a chance to issue a reverse order. So, cm-wise ones, I implore you to teach me the secrets of using Wespe's in a combined arms battlefield. How did the germans use them? I was under the impression that they fired indirectly IRL, but that is either not the case or impossible to do in CMBB. Thank you for your time.
  11. "Always bring along a few Tank hunter teams and AT rifles. Nothing is more embarising than having a HT rape half your forces." I wouldn't waste points on TH teams for the russians, they very rarely get the job done. At rifles are ok here and there. " Use support weapons in mixed teams. Ie 82mm, 50mm and a Maxim all work together." Yes, good idea. Although the 50 mm mortar leaves quite a bit to be desired. "If you can, take the SG43(sp?) over the maxim any day. It's faster and lighter, hence it moves and sets up quicker." Dp lmg's are cheap as hell and work great in pairs, you should try that too. " An arty spotter with a radio can bring down a good amount of pain even in a ME battle. Trust me on this." Unfortunately they are very very expensive point wise for the russians, so, no thank you.
  12. Wowee wow wow wow! I'm going to have to start using the King Tiger in qb's when that mod's released!
  13. You can use sharpshooters to target tank commanders and button up a tank. I wouldn't really use them against HQ's, but thats just me . (Actually I consider Sharpshooters a waste of points in qb's, but others like them) Flamethrower men are great to hide in woods or small shacks near roads and blast a tank as he goes by. They are also very useful in CIty battles and at night. Using them on attack is pretty difficult, which is why I buy a couple of flame tanks if I'm attacking, they do teh job much better. You can take out mines with Pioneer teams, just target the mines and have them throw their satchels on em. Make sure there are no friendlies too close or they will get hurt.
  14. Sounds like you put a good deal of thought into this project, i wish you the best of luck. That said, since this isn't a mod related website my vote goes towards a tactical tips/AAR website.
