  1. Edwin..if you need any WWI armor and bi-plane graphics feel free to ask as I used a few in my stalled (a bummer 60+ minute AI turn problem to resolve) Russian Campaign Mod...you might even make them look better than I did..
  2. Nevermind: Oh what headaches a wayward semi-colon can cause............... [ March 01, 2008, 01:30 PM: Message edited by: J P Wagner ]
  3. I'm not HC but I'll simply interject here by saying you sure can...just check out some of the mods and you'll see non european countries like Japan have been created.
  4. I guess if you really wanted Zukhov as your at start HQ, you will need to open the editor and make the switch there........
  5. Along the line of what JJR wants, I need to dig out my copy of SPI's INVASION AMERICA. I'll have my RCW mod under my belt (for better or worse) way before then, so unless someone else wants to lay claim to the project, I'll attempt IA as my second mod attempt.
  6. "I’m trying to put a “Battle for Seelow heights” scenario together, but it goes slow." You ask a question, lodge a complaint, and express disappointment, yet here you are with the above quote mentioning the speed, or lack thereof, of your own mod! In*******credible!
  7. Very nice....Someone will need to do a conversion of SPI's INVASION AMERICA (set a bit further down the timeline where Canada and the USA are all that remain) which will complete the hypothetical picture of this expansion pack! Looking forward to summer!
  8. I recommend you leave the default campaign files alone. Simply copy the folder and .cgn file outside of the campaign folder, rename them, and then place them back into the campaign folder. Use these files for your changes..Also, if you find that your changes are not remaining, you need to open the configuration settings and make certain that all 4 entries: bitmaps, interface, sound and localization, are set at 1 and not 0. If they are 0, then change them and save.
  9. Interesting thought, but though I have a "drop dead" date when Poland, the Northwestern Whites, and the Western Allies enter the war, they can come in earlier due do some activation triggers, or later due to % triggers. To afix a specific date on the at start forces would prove difficult. Also I have some activation triggers set up for the "at start" forces which might bring neutrals into the war faster. For example, if Poland moves their army away from the Lithuanian border to fight the Bolsheviks, Lithuania can start increasing their activation pro-Red and perhaps eventually invade Poland. I probably will simply need to Garrison all of the "at start" units and put easy cancel triggers on them once they become active, so they can start implementing the Offensive scripts...
  10. Outside of using the Garrison script, is there another, perhaps quicker, method of preventing the AI from moving units of Majors that have not yet been activated? I am trying to cut down the AI turn length and having the AI shuffle these units around adds unecessary time to the turn.
  11. When I mentioned that extensive play balance testing will be needed, it is my intention to post the mod so anyone interested can help out and make suggestions. Playtesting by myself will work for a bit, but fresh eyes and sharper minds will be needed to make it better. I will mention one negative now which I hope will improve, and that concerns the length of AI turns. I have cut it down quite a bit but it is still way too long for my tastes. I'm hopeful though that as I script more, it will get better. For example, detailed Garrison scripting helped alot.
  12. The Russian Civil War 1918-1921 Map and OOB's are completed. Most of the scripting is completed though I need to do quite a bit of AI Offensive work. I'm 90% finished but there will need to be some extensive play balance testing yet to do.
  13. I doubt very much if they were succesfull at that. Poles didn't like the Russki's.... much. </font>
  14. Hubert: I was able to solve the save issue without the need to reinstall. I opened the game and exported all the data then started a new game and imported it all back in. For some reason I forgot to do this step with the new patch so it was my screw up....
  15. Hi Hubert..I should have mentioned that I'm on XP. I'll try the reinstall...thanks
  16. "For Rambo V, the rumor is that Stallone wants to use an alternative script he wrote for Rambo IV, which involves Rambo’s daughter being kidnapped by cult leaders." Found that on one of those cinema rumour sites but I guess alot will depend on how well this movie does.....
  17. Considering what I gave in Federal Tax this year, getting a whopping extra 600 dollars back is like giving a leper a manicure.......
  18. I'm afraid that did not work as the same pop up appears and the game loads without any of my custom bitmaps, scripts ect. I have not been renaming the subfolder, the only thing I have been doing is transferring and replacing the campaign file, and .cgn file between my home and work pc. Would working on the game between my two pc's and always replacing the existing files cause issues? Hubert...is it possible that the save file is somehow being generated in two separate folders? I ask because of the following: When I save a game I get this screen. All my saves and the most recent (highlighted) are present) But then when closing the game and starting up the game again, when I want to load a game, I get a blank screen. Why aren't my saves being shown? Even the one I saved moments ago is not there. [ January 28, 2008, 09:56 AM: Message edited by: J P Wagner ]
  19. When I try loading a saved game for my mod, I receive the following message: Could not find directory Saved game will be loaded without customization. The game loads but without any of the custom bitmaps though they were present when I started a new game. I checked the save folder and found the save file there, but what is missing? Seems odd that the game loads ok but does not save correctly. Where did I screw up? <a href="http://img161.imageshack.us/my.php?image=image002ob2.jpg" target="_blank"> /> [ January 25, 2008, 08:28 AM: Message edited by: J P Wagner ]
  20. Hubert.... I received your email and everything is working fine. I thought that perhaps you discovered a problem with the National Colors changes I made because they were not in the file you sent, but I added it back to test it and it still is error free....now that I know not to dupe original bitmaps that are not changed I should have no further problems... a final thanks........ 21. Wow, that was quick! I'll acknowledge its' arrival when I get home this afternoon... Thank You for taking some of your time to have a look at it....
  22. Hubert...I never knew how much Outlook Express and/or Optimum Online sucks until now. The emails were deposited into the "sent folder", but so was the first one I mailed yesterday so who knows. If you do not get the two I sent today, I'll try using another account/server. [ January 09, 2008, 03:09 AM: Message edited by: J P Wagner ]
  23. That's odd...it should have kicked back to me if I screwed up...oh well, someone must have received a strange email if I wrote the addy wrong... I'll send it out tonight and I'll split the folders into 2 emails just in case my provider could not handle the 26mb zip file transfer... [ January 08, 2008, 01:10 PM: Message edited by: J P Wagner ]
