  1. -> Phil Yes i agree that is the situation I am experiencing also. This doesn't seem right. -> Stoex That's the same mission I'm talking about! Really a lot of the missiles fired hit the terrain just past the western buildings. -> Peter You're right the warhead is pointing upwards at a funny angle I loaded up the same save again this morning and what do you know!! first launch and it's a hit!! Through smoke and all!! :-D Maybe I can get consistent hits now?? 8-/ Time to go to the firing range and test it in a controlled environment.
  2. Hi Guys, I'm having some problems with the Dutch Gill. Specifically it cannot hit a specific target in one of the campaign missions. I have reloaded a saved game 3 times and the same team can expend 3 missiles each time without hitting the static target! Is there a bug with it? I must say that in general i seem to have serious LOS problems with this specific weapon, the crew just can't see anything!! in one of the first campaign missions i could never get them to see any of the vehicles unless they where placed on top of buildings. If i put the view down to their level they should have been able to see several big silhouetted bmp's and moving t72's. I have the save from the first mentioned situation if interested. Thanks!
  3. I'm running SLI 8800GTX(M) with unofficial drivers (from laptopvideo2go DOX185.68), and have spent the weekend troubleshooting CMSF and this error. I installed the MS hotfix mentioned in an old thread here, but i'm not convinced that it did alot. What seemed to help was selecting single GPU mode in the nvidia control panel, and setting AA to SLI mode ie only one card used for display but both for calculations. Running in SLI performance mode, i would have horrible problems where the screen would switch to black and then back to the game, everytime i selected or deselected a unit. I could usually provoke the Opengl 14 error by switching units very fast. If you are not running in SLI mode, then i can only suggest the MS hotfix. link: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/953186 Does anyone know what the official support is for SLI mode and CMSF? because as i mentioned, for me it seems partially broken. I should just add that the problems mentioned happened with both the official drivers for me (179.48 as its mobile version) as well as all the unofficial newer ones. Running on vista. Cheers

Just to confirm what Moon said, bought marines today and it was updated to 1.11 There was one problem though: the file "background with arty and smallarms.wav" in the mod tools folder, was reported as corrupt by the installer but i just "ignored" it. The subsequent files installed without problem. You better have a look at the image again :-) (Marines mod installed on top of basic 1.11) Cheers
  5. You don't mention it but if you have got 2 cards running in SLI then you are getting the same problem as me. Workaround == set to single gpu.

In case it's not being fixed in 1.04 i have discovered some problems(or features even ) with the training campaign that probably should be fixed for 1.05: During the mission where you have to use javelins i discovered that if i just let the guys fire off their javelins they would use too many on the T55's making it impossible to finish of the bunkers. One of the problem here is that, when a team has only got 1 jav left they refuse to fire it at the bunkers. The bunkers themselves seem to need 3+ javelin hits to be destroyed. When you only have 12 in total i constantly ran short. The only way i could finish this mission in the end was to move up my forces and disable the bunkers with small arms (This should not be the correct action as this is a jav training scenario). The next mission (using support assets) seems to be missing an end condition, only the time running out ending it, even though i had eradicated the enemy position. Final thing is more re. the problems with 8800 cards, but i'll put it in here as well so you dont have to go look for it. In Al's fist scen. if i move the camera inside some of the buildings (still looking towards the short end of the field) my framerate drops from mayby 15 to 4 fps, this seems to indicated somthing being rendered wrong. I would also like to point towards my screenshot in the thread about 163.77 drivers, as there seems to be a problem rendering palm trees (granted it probably just is a problem with this set). Hope i havent missed anything else.
  8. I have an 8800 GTS and on mine the performance seems the same as before (had beta .44), but some of the palm trees suddenly don't render correctly. They look like flat textures.   9. Hi, i would like a way to force a specific resolution to be used, as i like playing in 1600x1200 but don't like my desktop in that res. Is there a way to force CMBB to use the resolution which is alreade in the prefs file. I tried changing my desktop resolution to 1600 and then starting CMBB. Afterwards i quit the game and changed back, but as soon as i tried starting CMBB it started the setup mechanism again. :confused: Im am using the DEMO version at the moment but i guess the setup is the same for the Full version. Otherwise : ) GREAT GAME
