Aside from the very helpful Mods and Modders site, are there any other online tutorials for CM to be had? I am a longtime CMBO/BB modslut and want to try my hand to give back to the community. I have started to get my feet wet but have questions such as adding netting texture, armor plates, division numbers/symbols etc. and technique to add them. One thing I want to do is add armor plates to CMBB Tiger turrets, where would I obtain the textures? Do I use font libraries to get division numbers to add to the armor? If anyone can post links, add tips, or provide there valued know how I would sicerely be grateful, and hopefully reward the community with some nice additions. I have Photoshop and the other tools, just need some insight. Thanks in advance.

MOD POSTED, Camo Pz IVF2 (battle of Kursk)
pixelflesh replied to tracer's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
Nice scheme tracer. For you and anyone interested in a nice compliment to tracer's work the link below is for a Panzer IVG (late) of the same scheme. This is the first mod I found for CMBB and wanted to pass along given this good opportunity. The first link (left portion of page works, right side does not) Thanks tracer and all the modders. http://www.cmbbhq.net/germtanks.html -
I have NEVER had the option to configure my video/hardware setup even upon my first installation!? Has any one else had this occur? I have repeatedly deleted my preference file for CMBB and still no option to change settings I have a G4 350 w an ATI Rage 128, I dont have performance issues but I installed Strontium Dog's Snow and Mud Mod and it looks blurry (as does other textures), which leads me to finally make this post. I can't tell what resolution and refresh rate the game is on >:-( I have my desktop set to 1024x768, is it playing at that resolution? I want to be able to alter my settings, thats all. Any ideas and feedback are greatly appreciated, thanks in advance gang.

Mod question (altering panzer crew hat)
pixelflesh replied to pixelflesh's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
I would create a backup of the original of course, then modify the hat sans the red triangle add the "deaths head" and perhaps add a new eagle. I would then use it when playing SS specific scenarios I have been wanting to see this modded since the game came out. Credit goes to AndrewTF for being the first to mod it, saw it in a screenshot of upcoming mod he's working on. All due respect Andrew, I have all your mods in use in the game and think your work is outstanding to say the least, but the Totenkopf on the screenshot looked like a pirate skull and crossbones. I have some images set aside friom uniforms I would like to add/try out. I want to see a closer likeness, if you agree and do it I shall bow out and down respectfully Back to my main concern, how do I add the image in PS, and again I assume it miirors the other side since the bmp is a side angle view? If someone could shed some light on just how to modify the cap I would appreciate it -
Being a complete modslut, I am inspired by the creations of the community and would like to try my hand at contributing as well. I have been to the Mods and Modders site, which has good info yet I am looking at how to modify CMBB uniforms. I have some ideas I would like to implement as far as helmet and panzer cap tweaks yet I have not found tutorials or site that offer such help. Any ideas would be appreciated, thanks in advance gang.

Winterized PzIIIH MOD
pixelflesh replied to panzermartin's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
These are beautiful, wil always be looking out for your worlk. One question, aren't the bmps supposed to start w 5, not 6 for winter textures? -
I would like to see a mod where goggles are added to main body portion of the tank crew bmp, loose around the neck either under the throat-microphone or just under the neck-tie. I always wanted to see goggles either strapped to the cap, on the head of the crewmen (w seperate bmp# of course) or around the neck since CMBO. I know this wasn't an essential piece of gear, and oft not used, yet I think it would add nice depth and dimension. I am not a modder (modslut, yes), however, wanting to add this I found myself scouring the web for pictures but coming up short. I don't have books to refer to and don't think I would be artistically inclined to free-hand it. So if any modder may be so inclined to give it a shot.... Has anyone thought of this? I am curious, feedback welcome and appreciated. Thanks, pixelflesh

Sov snow uniforms now available for download

*POST GLITCH! (continued)* Taking time out of your schedule to promptly send them is much appreciated Second, thanks for converting them to CMBB. I personally was holding off on winter battles until mods for uniforms showed up, that kind of detail is important to me. Although they as you say are rough, I like the variation between the units and am grateful again you took the time to create them. My men are finally warm enough to hit the frozen tundras thanks to you sir -
